The course: ASPECTS OF RUSSIAN VERBS MADE EASY: www.udemy.com/...
These three Russian words ''как, какой, что'' always are confusing. You can translate them as ''how, which, what'' but sometimes they are used in different meaning. Learn how to apply these Russian words with me!
    Time codes:
    00:47 - как - how
    01:34 - что - what
    02:24 - какой - which, what
03:30 - a different way to ask questions (что instead of какой)
I'm happy to tell you that now my videos have subtitles in 5 languages! If English is not your native language, watch my videos with subtitles in any of these languages:
    [sous-titres français]
    [subtítulos en español]
    [legendas em português]
    [субтитры на русском]
    [subtitles in English]

Thanks for the video. I still wish the volume was higher, though.
I find this topic very confusing, because I don't understand how other words like чего, который, and каков(о/а) fit into it.

      You’re welcome!
Чего is different form of что, using in Genitive case. The same is какой (какого) - Genitive and Accusative. But который is a different word and you’re right, this topic is really confusing. For sure I’ll make a video about который, and then another one about different forms of что и какой.

@@LinasLessons Videos on these would be great. But I've definitely seen каков/каково/какова as its own word, separate from какого. An example sentence that Google Translate gives is "какова цена?" meaning "what's the price?"

@@aaa303 ahh, I see what you mean. Personally I never use the word “каков”. But basically there is no difference between “какой” and “каков”. Каков is a shortened adjective and now it’s an old word witch is usually used in books. Also it can have a little negative or ironic meaning.

Good teaching interesting that saying what when someone calls you is not rude I always get told I am rude

Hahaha we don't have to forget about people who take offense very easily and everything sounds rude to them. It's definitely not your fault so don't worry about it :)

01:19 - A fun fact: in Hebrew (an Afro-Asiatic Semitic Language) we do *also* say _"How do they call you?"_ for _"What is your name?"_
Could there possibly be a connection there?

In spanish we use how so the translation to kak is direct
