Incredible display from this iconic aircraft. That howl puts a shiver up your spine. And to finish her display? I'll just cruise along past the crowd on my back wheels, thank you very much. What an incredible machine!!!
My father and my maternal grandfather were both stationed at Waddington in the early 1960`s. I spent a lot of time as a kid watching Vulcans do their circuits and bumps and never tired of it. My then 3 year old sister absolutely hated them and all their noise.
Our family would go and watch these at Waddington in the early 70s. They were just plain white from memory. My nan lived at Tattershall so it wasn't far from hers.
another top video mate, they seem to be chucking her about the sky more just as well they have those mods lined up to give her a few more years.thanks again
Loved the Mighty Vulcan as a kid and always will. Lived in Lincolnshire (nearby Waddington & Scampton) for a few years in he mid sixties, saw and heard these magnificent beauties almost daily from our school playground. Cue small boys & girls in dufflecoats buttoned at the neck, hood on head, arms spread holding the coat out as a delta wing and howling (well, nearly). I'm a Scouser and My soundtrack of the sixties isn't The Beatles, it was and ever will be.... The Vulcan Howl. You just had to be there......
Some years ago I was stood with several thousand others on Plymouth Hoo, when a Vulcan came ‘Through’ the Western Harbour entrance and then Skimmed the top of Smeton’s lighthouse as it flew over the Hoo. Magnificent wonder if anyone has a video / film of that??
Great vid, classic Kev display. Unfortunately Dr Robert Pleming commented at a talk of his I went to on Monday that the pilots have had a talk to re. the wing overs as the trust want to keep the negative G down, thus unfortunately the displays will now be more like that seen at RIAT, unless Kev 'accidentally' does a wing over, as apparantly they're quite easy to do accidentally according to the ex-Vulcan pilot that was also at the talk.
Not sure what Caroline is getting at. This is a standard display move that has been performed many times. It does not cause excessive airframe fatigue. And as for insulting one of the most respected pilots in the country, Caroline should be ashamed.
Maybe Caroline would rather see XH558 to do taxi runs to save the fatigue life then...... Kev's display at Farnborough this year was the best I have ever seen..... I know what memories I will have of XH558!
I believe they did, when it was launched they did a complete roll after take off, something that made everyone sit up and take notice as it was something that a large bomber like the B52 couldn't do until the Vulcan came along and showed everyone who's *BOSS!*
This aircraft was, and is a national treasure, a true symbol of when Great Britain had a proud and world beating aircraft industry, the government should pay to put this aircraft back into the air! However, I can't see this happening as it would be a physical and emotive manifestation of the governmental ineptitude that has over the years systematically destroyed Britains dominancy in more or less every industry allowing other nations to benefit from our innovation.
I reckon Kev would be the one up for that, as Mr Withers has said before that he wouldn't dare risk it, he'd leave it up to the young guns, but it has also been commented on before that it's the CAA that will stop this from ever being done, spoil sports, in saying that with all the H&S nowadays, it would probably have to be done so far away from any possible spectator & so high that nobody would be see it anyway - what a shame :-(

Just fantastic! Grew up in Scotland and the fly overs by phantoms and Vulcans in the highland were fabulous. Homesick now. Brilliant!🏴🇸🇭
Nostalgic!!! Good Ol Kev
Marvelous, I’m glad the algorithm gave me this today.
Talented and beautiful. She can sing AND dance. I'm in love.
It always amazes me how the pilot manages not to scrape the tail doing that cool vulcan wheelie.

Fantastic filming!Big LIKE!Greetings from Germany!
Best video I have seen of the Vulcan, great cam work.
Yes Kev Rumens king of the wingover flying.
The most amazing aircraft that I have seen flying, wish circumstances were different it was a real crowd pleaser at air shows
Superb aerobraking on the full stop landing!
Her tail was looking perilously close to the runway on that landing! Awesome footage as ever, wonka :)

The Vulcan is one of my most favorite aircraft in the world absolute genius went into building that
Incredible and elegant 😁👍
7 years later. Wow!
Gee the old Vulc is pretty nimble for such a large aircraft, luv the sound
Absolutely superb.
Go girl go
You deserve so many more subscribers. Great video.
Just pure MAGIC!
I was there! I saw this. It sent the car alarms crazy
love that howl!!
That was a great wingover, it looks upside down for sure :)
The bomber that never knew it was a bomber.
Great video,thanks for sharing.

That old tail microswitch got some action there! Great video. Thanks for sharing :-)
Nice video, the greatest aircraft off all time 😊
Well put together mr Wonkabar
That thump in the chest feeling..
Kev Greenhalgh I heard this take off years ago at an airshow, it shook the ground and my insides, incredibly loud.
When that went upside down my heart stopped
One things for sure, kev certainly knew how to handle her
The flyover was epic!!!
That sound!!!
Incidentally Caroline, 558 did not go upside down. It was a standard wing over of 135 degrees. (as explained to me by the pilot himself)
Pardon my french but holy shit the lift on those wings
Great ... men and machines.

I'm sure the old girl is capable of even more. They wouldn't do anything that stressed her too much.
Rumenator thats a great name ;)

This is in my music playlist...you know why though ;)
Wow!
Where do you live WONKA damn it is like plane nation there!
Looking at this, I get the feeling they could completely roll her.

You can find it in the footage in one of the Farnborough airshows if you already haven't
On it’s first appearance at Farnborough the test pilot rolled it right after take off.
@@andrewmorton9327 yeah, by an RAAF Test Pilot "Tony Blackman"
How could that security bod NOT look round when the Vulcan was landing.....
Just can't believe that someone 3 minutes & 12 seconds in has his back to the mighty vulcan how rude
Some lads just wouldn't know a fine lady, even if 1 came and dropped a bomb on their head ;-)
@@THE-BUNKEN-DRUM 😂
Gosh what a climb
You won't break my back

que de bonheur de voir ce petit papillon voler dans le ciel xd ;)
Vulcan needs a cigarette after that.
This really was designed to drop bombs and gtfo. Love it
Look at the end so friendly, only joking

was this the Sunday mate?
What a bueaty
With wing that big, it can probably fly at 19 mph!
Yup, with a 110 kt headwind!
Faaaantastic, if only the pratt on the tannoy would shut up it'd be better still.
Maybe a bit too quiet ;-)
Scary, we are British
THats a slooooooooooow plane
Three dislikes from Greta Thunberg....!
100 tonnes, you want to fight???🤣🤣🤣
I swear they stole the Avro Roar and used it as the sound for the Tie Fighters in Star Wars
