I put Glock Tritium sights on my GX4...front was easy, rear was super tight, and not easy at all, even with my sight tool. I would have been happy with just the front sight. Lesson learned.
I ordered the one for the 19 and it worked and looked fine. It is a little wider but there is still room on the sides of the dovetail slot for adjustment.
Clear it, squeeze the trigger, then rotate the slotted pin. Slide comes off pretty easy. I’ve noticed that if I don’t squeeze the trigger before turning that pin, the slide starts to move forward and gets stuck… until you work the slide again and the take-down pin resets.
Thank you for this tutorial! I finally installed new tritium sights on my pistol for the first ever. Now I can expand the customer service opportunities for my client base in the handyman industry. 😂
I like the Allen head screw on the Taurus front sight. It's a much less awkward system to me. One big difference between Glocks and the GX4 is that the GX4 has a chassis system. What that means is if you want to buy a replacement grip for whatever reason on your Glock, it cost a few hundred dollars and will have to go through an FFL. As with the Sig P320 and P365, you can simply remove the chassis on the GX4 and replace the plastic grip. This is the second video I've seen with the Real Avid pusher. I think I need one.
Damn just got the GX4 and precisely looking at this particular sight. Was hoping I could install at home without buying any extra tools but looks like I’ll have to go to a gunsmith 😔. Thx for the content tho and great instructions.
@@sleigh4019 Totally understand. I just know that these sight companies get a lot of broken vials that void the warranty because they were installed with a punch. Obviously it can be done, but I'm showing the slow and safe method.
Stock glock sights are nothing more than plastic dovetail protectors. They've been known to occasionally fly off the slide and into orbit during regular use. Even PSA puts steel on their base model Dagger slides.

Here's my question... I just got a new Taurus GX4 Carry (toro) and I need to know 'if' that Truglo front sight tool will also work on my Taurus GX4 Carry hexhead front sight screw? I believe the Taurus hexhead screw is 3/16". And if it will work can you give the tools part number so I can order from eBay or Amazon. Also... the 'punch' end of that tool, does anyone know if it will work for my Taurus GX4 Carry back-strap pins???
Yes, but not on the TORO model. The larger fiber sight would cover the optic plate. The back end of the sight may not line up perfectly (since is was designed for Glock) but it will be very close. You will want model TG13GL3PC
Brother i got a question do i have to buy glock 43 specific sights, or can i use like Glock 19 sights as well , cause they don't make allot that specifically say 43 etc
I have a 24/7 Pro, but I called Taurus earlier and they told me they neither have any accessories for my model nor can they give me any advice for tips because of the class action suit, and I'm desperately trying to find at least front sights that are compatible with my model. Do you have any idea if any other model handgun sights are compatible with mine?
@@AdventureOne I think I should be fine with my stock sites. I painted the white dot that was on the front sight neon yellow with liquid craft acrylic paint which worked very well on my Phoenix Arms hp22a, and I did but put a touch of neon orange nail polish on the tops of the left and right side of my rear sight, and I found the sweet spot is to have the yellow dot just a hair above the top of the rear sights and it is dead on. So if I can't find any OEM upgrades or aftermarket sights, I think I'll be alright.
Really, anything designed to fit a Glock 9mm. I really like these Tritium Pros from TRUGLO. (Model TG231G1C) The point is that instead of Taurus having their own sight specification, you can now use the larger glock aftermarket.
Glock 42/43/43x/48 size? I am interested in these sights on my gx4 and Taurus offers them but for much more than Amazon so I want to make sure I’m getting the correct ones.
@@viki2162 Yep. Seen that before. The TFO is a great concept, but it forces the sight to be larger. One of the reasons I go with tritium only on smaller guns or anything with an optic cut.

I recommend sights designed for the Glock 19. Most Glock compatible sights will fit, but you may have POI issues if you use sights designed for a different caliber or long slide model.
For removing the old sight, a hammer and a brass or plastic punch works great. Just be careful with installation. That can damage the tritium vial, and installing a tritium sight with anything other than a sight pusher usually voids the sight warranty
@@AdventureOne No mine are just tritium not pro. I haven't installed it yet but they just look like it's going to overhang. Can't tell by the video. Great video though!
A factory plastic or metal sight can be adjusted with a punch (brass recommended) and a hammer. ALWAYS use a pusher tool if the sight contains tritium capsules. Using a punch on a tritium sight will likely damage the glass capsules and definitely void the warranty on the sights
I had those same sights on my GX4. While shooting it, my shots were all over the place. After having the rear sight centered with the front. It was hitting low left even while aiming dead center.
That is your trigger pull. You need to adopt an two hand hold and use your left index finger and go in front of thr trigger guard. Mine shoots 2" groups at 10 yards. Takes a lot of practice. Good luck
@@dmcd7333 I can pick up my Walther or sig and drill the bullseye. My hits are low with just this gun. Its not way off, but noticeable. Maybe it is me, but it doesn't happen with other 9mms I shoot more often. Maybe this gun just reveals my flinch more than others.
@@AdventureOne shorter barrel micros do magnify any trigger or grip issues. I bought a lakeline llc black ported barrel for fun... adds another 1/4" and the port makes the GX4 the flattest shooting micro with almost no felt recoil.. compared to my Ruger, Sig, and Hellcat.

I use Truglo Pro for G17/19 on the GX4. The G42/43 sights have the same height as the one for G17/19. The only difference is the width.
Correct, on the rear sight. Front sight is the same. Either will fit

When using XS glock sights on the Gx4, you want the glock 17-19 option.
Yes. To clarify, the dovetail and front sight is the same. It is just the overall width of the rear sight. TRUGLO 17/19 or 42/43/48 models fit.
