I'm so happy for you. I'm sure this new change will turbo charge your creativity. As far as paint colors, I go for grays, they're neutral and don't assert themselves on you.
I live in a home the previous owner went gray crazy, mark your paint cans for touch-ups we have a large room with 3-4 shades of gray. Hard to tell they took the cans away.

@@matchrocket1702 Yes, “mister and Mrs. handy” the previous owners did kitchen darkest gray, cabinets white, granite white black gray, living room lighter gray transition in open arch, bedroom two grays in the tray ceiling, looked very nice when we toured house they patched nail wholes with wrong grays. The only hall way is light gray intersecting the dark gray kitchen, movers chipped paint and it’s two hues to try to match. (We didn’t notice until we signed off with movers), NOTE TO SELF WHEN YOU BUY DREAM HOME be ready to change everything. Had $20,000 water leak ( insurance covered ) second month. No gray walls (or guitars) were damaged only the yellow ones that are two shades of yellow. Yes, gray is nice however pick one ☝️ or label 🏷️ the cans. Sorry to vent but maybe it will help others.
@@flouisbailey The house I moved into many years ago had many "fix its" in it. However, they were done so horrendously that we named the guy who did them Lester the house molester.

Paint the walls "Churchill Hotel Wheat" by Valspar. It's bright enough in the daylight and gets a wonderful glow as the sun goes down. Ceiling slightly off white towards beige color will take away that harshness of regular ceiling white.
Personally, I think any kind of grey/gray is too impersonal, too industrial. Probably comes from years of working in factories.

Congratulations, black was the first thing that came to mind.
Personally, I really like the look of a dark wall in the bg so that, when lit well, you and your guitar will pop in the frame .
Light gray walls, white trim & light hardwood floors or vinyl flooring.

Break the Gray, black and white. Go with burnt orange highlights (patterns or broad stripes) over deep blue.
Have Grey Morn for most walls, Quiet Interlude for accent wall
They are greys but will go really well with white and wood
Congrats on the new house and studio! You deserve it! Color (like music) is so subjective but I honestly feel you can never go wrong with blue(s). Of course trying to figure out which one is the best shade of blue for you is another story...😁😁.

I'd check out the guitar rooms on Pinterest, I've gotten a lot of great ideas for my man cave. I was heading for grays as well it's a nice compliment for guitars especially if your're hanging them.

I'm planning a move so I can start a website and social media channels. Nice to see how you're setting up the studio. More please, as there's way less coverage of the guitarist environment vs technical aspects.
Uk housing market set to crash (yesss) so this should help me afford a bigger place. I need a "man cave" as currently the lounge acts as a home office and a creche. As soon as my wife returns to work, we'll have 2 people working from home plus a full-time child minder...so not possible for me to record stuff after work.
I know your channel isn't about interior design but I'll ask again...

As another noted, a light grey to match the streaks in the wood door may work well. then offset that with the artwork that you now have the wall space for, and randomly placed sound boards.
Congrats on the house. I'd do an off white color and get led lights that you can angle at the walls and make any color you like.

I have a room which is filled with stuff and i cannot figure out how to make it work for me
so you are very well off with what you already have achieved .
As far as colors go a darker color may not be suitable for filming
but if you want color I always enjoy Earth colors Brown Blue & Green
but lighter colors like pastels will probably give you the best options for filming
I like what JP Sears or Sean Daniels have done were wall remain white or light pastel
and you change the wall colors with color modulation LEDS to suit the tone of the day
I am sure whatever you choose it will be terrific.
