I loved this EP. I'm disappointed it's not longer! I've had it on replay daily for a while since it's release. Loved how experimental and freaky it was hahah, and like you said, feels like a natural transition from Obsidian. My favourite track? Maybe Afterimage.... it's a hard pick. I love every song just as much as the other.
The reverb is strong on this one.
You've GOT to listen to Parkway Drive - Horizons! It is such an incredible album, start to finish.
Karnivool are one of the best progressive bands ever. Check out New Day and Goliath, the production is second to none and sounds amazing after all these years. Every musician is on an elite level.
