Karnivool fan from Denmark here. Discovered them around 2011 through my drummer and finally saw them live last year. Mirza from Siamese is also a big fan - he told me when we shared a stage back in 2015.
I love how excited you get about a bands progression, I’m so over people going why doesn’t every song and album sound the same from the day they formed? A bands sound can change over time as they grow up and evolve and people need to back the truck off them and learn to embrace their journey and appreciate the fact that they are still getting great music off them or move on, get over it and stop slagging them off and saying they don’t sound the same 🙄
Are you blokes doing a reaction to 'Let Me Disappear'? This EP is sick. The Ian Kenny feat in this track is awesome. Absolutely love Karnivool and Northlane. West Aussies and Sydney coming together to make an absolutely awesome song.
This and Dante are the tracks that made it to my playlist. Despite listening to this song a fair bit, it's only just dawned on me that Ian does the 2nd chorus solo 😅
i have bought tickets to karnivool brisbane coming up soon, i also saw northlane and landmvrks recently also in brisbane and again northlane last year at knotfest 23 which was way better then the smaller knotfest 24, super excited! Great video, although i got a bit triggered when you guys didnt talk about/know past and future aussie touring dates for the wonderful bands hence ,my expressioneeious* in the comment section. Cool shit, always looking forward to watching your reviews!
This was extremely my jam. Just another knock out of the park. You boys should definitely check out the most recent THECITYISOURS track 'In The Dark': ua-cam.com/video/-5Nxm4uJOqo/v-deo.html
Something I've appreciated with this EP that I didn't with Obsidian is the drumwork. Nic even said in the studio diaries that some of the songwriting on Obsidian didn't lend itself to interesting types of drumming, but more standard EDM constant drumming, which to me made Obsidian quite boring aside from most of the singles and the first half of Xen (that dumb synth outro ruins the vibe everytime its on shuffle). Hopefully the rest of the band reigns Jon in on the EDM synth nonsense and keeps it at this level, to where it is a service to the metal song rather than being the main attraction. My two cents...
I have never been able to get into these guys, and I don't understand how they are the gold standard for comparisons in metalcore. Like I get they kind of cornered synthy stuff and what not, but they have always sounded more nu-metal/prog to me than any type of metalcore.
@@EveryTimeIDavid You need to discover Northlane in 2010. If you missed the boat, well shit. I don't mind their new sound, but they've yet to top Alien with Marcus. Dispossession is still a 12/10 song though.

Love Karnivool, so happy to see Ian on a banger with Northlane.
So excited to see Northlane for the first time with my boys Invent animate, Thornhill and Windwaker in Charlotte NC on July 13th.
It'll rip, incredible line-up
yooo my brother and I will be there too!!!
Northlane at the Enmore was epic. They are killing it

Love hearing that they're good live, I just bought my ticket :D
I bought tickets to go see Northlane on their upcoming UK tour because of this channel! Thanks lads for helping us discover new music!
It feels so good to hear some new Heavy Kenny 😍
Maybe it’s because I’m from Perth but Karnivool has always been a massive part of the scene here and still doing shows

Will you do a video on the sum 41 album/Songs?

you need to dive in into their discography to understand why they are one of the golden standard of the metalcore scene
@@richard6200 I’ve tried. I get bored really quick.
