I have been using Backblaze’s unlimited cloud backup to protect all my data - terabytes of it - for a flat monthly or yearly fee, for years. I highly recommend them as a backup solution.

The guy in blue shirt is an absolute natural at this :-)
Vlad Petric Nails the sound descriptions every time.
This is one of the best parts of the hobby seeing others enjoying something you love.
It’s one thing I love to do with close friends. Every time someone comes over, they have to ask about my McIntosh amp.
And see how they react and describe things.
for some reason I thought the Meze's were much smaller than that holy shit
I own them and I though that too!
Loving this little mini series so far. It's always more refreshing, and natural to hear regular people listen to and describe hi-fi audio gear without audiophile context.
And to think, Steve Guttenberg said the Abyss AB1266 is a noticeable step up from the Empyrean. Thats hard to imagine
I'm impressed with how spot on their impressions were
I appreciate this series for showcasing how easy it is to appreciate high-quality sound, yet how challenging it is to find the language to relate those experiences in a way that establishes a common understanding of what various sound signatures are all about.
Empyrean is also my most fav. They sound so magical compared to something like Hifiman Arya, Focal Clear
Osu! Loving the series... I can't wait for part 3. Keep up the great work!
I have been listening to more than 15 headphones to find my first pair. All the Focals, a lot of the Hifiman, Sennheiser like HD820s, 650, 660s, Dan Clark, Denon, and some others. Empyrean was the only one that gave me the wow sound. The Focals were more “accurate” but that just weren’t that pleasant. I really liked the Ananda as well though. Thinking if I should rob the bank and get the Empyrean or just get the Ananda which is just US$525 in one of my local stores right now.
His face at 13:48 is why we listen to music and what every audiophile is hunting for.
I like this. Gimme part 3.
Good stuff! Thx
"And if you tell me they are $200 I will buy them tomorrow!"
Those were the last words of a man last spotted standing next to a giant money-hole.
...who fell deep into it.
Ty
I love the sound of cicadas
Very nice ,wish I could afford your equipment
man i really want to try the empyreans, current end game are my u12ts
Thanks for this video. And what about Kennerton headphones ?
I wish I could be there .I can only see them on the internet and hear about them.I’m starting to get into audiophiles Headphones and Dap.
It would help a lot if they identify which headphones they are referring to, so the watcher knows, instead of just pointing in a general direction and saying, "this one....."
They all look similar from the viewers perspective, and it hard to tell which brand is, "this one..."
I want Meze now.
I'm beginning in this hobby. Can't wait to buy more and more expensive gear
Testing a headphone on a phone is like testing a sports car in London. It gives you only a 10% impression.
I watched a review the other day where they tested a set of 300 dollar headphones on an old receiver, a phone and a freaking walkman cassette player! I was like WTF man. I am not an audio snob by any means but that just felt wrong in some way.
I see that Zen Can when will you review it?
What do you think of Akg 712 pro ?
Lmao he looks hilarious with the headphones on. Everything about blue shirt guy is funny
Do this with iems
Hello everyone, i'm new to the hobby. Where do you guys listen to your music? Spotify? UA-cam? where can you listen to the best music?
If you want best quality, ripped flacs or tidal may be. But if you are looking for discoverabilty, spotify has discover weekly playlist which has worked pretty good so far for me. You can discover good songs in unexpected places. Even i am curious about how people discover good music...
What was the last pair?
What amp is that?
Which Meze did he listen to? The original Emyprean? and what's the headphone he said is the same level? Which amp/dac did he use with it?
The original Empyrean (the Elite wasn't out yet). I don't remember what he plugged it into, but probably the ALO Audio Studio Six.
@@Currawong have you (or them) heard the elite? which one would you/they prefer now?
Here's the followup video: ua-cam.com/video/82-jH0BpIEk/v-deo.html
sad for the electrostatic. I wonder how it sounds like.
I thought you were going to put down the headphones they were listening to as well as the other gear and the song?
Did you check the video description?
Try using some binaural recordings instead of stereo
He did in the first video but then switched to some music the guys liked and knew better.
I wonder how he is able to afford all of these
I don't smoke, drink or spend money excessively.
@@Currawong Everyone else also dont smoke, drink or spend money excessively so whats your point ?
@currawong what do you do for living in Japan?
@@limhao5943 Review headphones and other audio gear. Are you from Malaysia ?
@@nicktan4530 yes
The title says high end. I expected HE1 or HE2 headsets
Why do they use high-end headphones to listen to low end music, like rock, not Mozart or Bach?
Because it is what they like.
@@Currawong They like the wrong thing.
You missed that Stephane listened to Don Giovani for one, and second: If they enjoy listening to it, then it's not "wrong". :)
@@Currawong Thanks! Makes sense!
Because lots of people like rock, pop and jazz and don't care much for classical. And only using classical is fairly limiting when you are trying review or judge something. And even more so if you have never heard it live. There is a lot you can do with rock and pop as far as soundstaging, imaging, dynamic range and frequencies. Something might do very well on a lot of classical music but could struggle with other types of music because it doesn't have the frequency response or dynamic range to keep up. Or be able to place a specific sound in a specific place like it should. Listen to music by Madona, Tori Amos or Pink Floyd on a really good set up and you will be amazed at how much effort they put into placing sounds in a specific spot in space.
But in the end it is about enjoying the music. If you told me I could listen to a 20,000 dollar system but all I could listen to was opera or rap I would probably tell you no thanks. I honestly don't want to hear either of them personally. I don't care how "good" it sounds. If I want to show something off I will let someone listen to an excerpt of a certain track. And I will tell them "I know this isn't your thing, but listen to what it does compared to something else." Then I will let them listen to something they like or are used to hearing.
