John I'm loving these bike trail videos they are very cool, it's good to know when they start. Also nice opening cinematic shots it's very engaging. Interesting thing about Kedron brook it is absolutely crawling with Tilapia fish. There's also another decent bike trail that runs from near Enoggera dam back onto into the city also I believe it also might hook back into the trail you are on. I believe it runs along Ithaca creek, might be well worth exploring. Anyway nice vid
Oooh, Tilapia.... I'll need to bring my little fishing reel next time! Thanks for the info re the Enoggera dam cycleway, I dig into that one a little more. 👌👌
Big thing about this bike path is the Kedron portion would flood under heavy weather. Toombul Shopping Mall flooded because of it and it's now being torn down. This bike path is really good for beginners as it has all concrete pathways.
Hey John.. just subscribed after watching a few of your vids.. this one is my regular ride as i'm local to Keperra.. possiblyy did it the same day as you, I encountered the shopping trolley and tent to.. and often get up to Nudgee or across to Shorncliffe across the MBC.. i've seen a less well described video that joins up the MB route with the Cabbage Tree Creek trail and gets back to Arana Hills (next to Keperra).. do you know how to get from the MB route onto the Cabbage Tree Creek route and so make a full loop of this... keep postin.. love your information and enthusiasm
Hi Paul, nice to hear from you! Try this link: www.gaiagps.com/public/3HqfyaBoyrrIa4H5xzRIO7Ob/ I've done up a route from basically the start of the Jim Sorley bikeway, up through the MBC Boondall Wetlands, and up to the Deagon exit.... and this will then link up to the Cabbage Tree Creek Bikeway all the way back to Ferny Hills (a good 35kms). Add on the initial Kedron Brook Bikeway from Keppera and you've got a brilliant 55-60 km loop! Hopefully the link works for you - it opens to Gaia GPS (its all free) and you can download the GPX, etc.
Fluffing around is good, it's not a race, but a scenic relaxing bike ride, taking in the beauty, fresh air, sunshine, and little exercise, good for your health and soul.
Great Mate, I walked this, but going the other way, But I went right up the the source. Took me 3 days all up. These Bike Trail Vids are cool. .T-rocks😎
T-Rocks did a video of the coal mine at Kalinga. Mitcheton and Kedron parkrun use the Kedron Brook. You were only a couple of hundred metres from my place at Hickey Park 👍 Love the KB. Very popular.
You've got a great park close to you, that for sure! 👌 Thanks for mentioning the TRocks video, I'll check it out, he makes great vids! I am interested in that mine.
I went and did this ride yesterday after watching your video, I even parked my car at the same footy feilds you did at the start. I did go a bit further and rode up through the Boondall wetlands though. I think I would have got lost on some of the road sections if i didn't watch your video before hand.
Nice Ride. When I lived In Florida I Used To Build Golf Course, I Would Play Golf For Free Everyday. Man< I Miss Those Days. Have You Ever Tried Kopi Luwak Coffee From Indonesia?
Free Golf.... every man's dream! Never heard of Kopi Luwak Coffee... although I tried a powerful little brew when I visited Vietnam that was very different from anything I've tried before.
Now do Enogerra creek bikeway, start off at Windsor and go around the whole Enoggera dam, on your way back you can return a different way by going through Sunset park to jump onto the Ithaca creek bikeway this will take you back to the start near Enogerra creek.
@@jelbuilderfilms do some cool tricks for us on your bike at the pump track at Sunset park. Ithaca Creek bikeway goes past the Broncos Red Hill club if you're lucky you will see them training. There's also a cool little hidden park next to the Jubilee Terrace bridge called Civosity Park
Great Video but that's not the XPT train. Planes take off and land in either direction depending on the wind direction. Wow, 4 youtube channels! You must be an extreemly busy boy!
Yeah, I thought I got that info about the XPT wrong, and I was hoping more knowledgeable people would chime in. Thanks! Yeah, the YT channels, what can I say - it's a leisurely hobby.😋 I like creating stuff that might help and/or inspire other people, whilst putting a smile on their face when possible.
I simply use my GoPro Hero 11 for everything - got it usually chest mounted but often take it off and hold it in the hand for some of the turn around and selfie views. It's simple and it just works.
Thanks for the video, I do this track all the time on my euc, but never go past the what you call, 'decision time, decision time', as I wasnt sure about the roads beyond rhaylt point as Im a complete pussy.

100% right there - it is important to simply take it all in. We're busy like crazy during work, so these getaways should be revitalising for us.
I enjoy riding on the beach at bribe. And that ride as well.
Fantastic. Ive been looking for this type of stream 👍

Thanks Tony.... Just checking out your Nundah Black Coal Mine video that I came across in my ride. I've linked it into this video now!
I've only gotten just under halfway so far, but have enjoyed watching. Will come back and finish the video soon...
Awesome, thank you!
Nice work as always mate. I might go and do this this arvo nyself👍
Awesome stuff - have fun! Hey, would you know if there's a cycleway from back of Enoggera Dam somewhere back to the city?
So good to see familiar places, definitely Brissy is getting more cyclist friendly.
Biking video🎉 thank you!
My pleasure, it's always fun getting on the bike 👌

Love it... I'll map out that trail. Love the idea of going around the dam... Cheers for the suggestion 💡

The EUC would be great here. I need to give that a go sometime....but I think I'd need to be bubble wrapped!! 🙏
