    Thank you for your haircut tutorial videos!! Getting a professional haircut isn't in my budget, so it helps a ton to have curly-focused DIY tips!

    Wow! What a difference a little trim does. I'm seeing more curly girls doing away with lots of layers. It's true that layering just breaks up the curl clumps. Your hair looked so much happier, being kept whole and are able to clump so much better. I can't believe stylists think that those thinner shears is what our curls need.
    I've been doing my curl by curl cut for a while now. Just not sure about how to shape it. Just too afraid of messing it up. Thanks Courtney. God bless.

    I love your videos ,would like to see more on how you cut your hair . I also like my hair with only a few layers as my hair is fine and also thinning in the crown area so the longer the layers the better it is .

    This is an interesting video. I didn't know you could have a zoom cut. I wanted to see certain angles better. You don't stay still for long enough or you fidget or shake! If you are going to show the back, can you just stay still and not fidget with it or shake for about 20 seconds so we can have a good look? (maybe for next time).

    Is there any reason for not cutting it while your hair is wet?

    • @JBUHJBUH
      @JBUHJBUH 8 місяців тому +1

      Curly hair loses length when dry - if you cut it wet, then it will spring up further once dry. Since most people wear their hair dry, you don't get any nasty surprises after the haircut is done this way.

    You are so brave Courtney to cut your own hair. I don't have the courage yet. I will say that youre bang on with layers not growing well. One length cuts are the best if you're growing your hair. I also don't like bangs are face framing thats too short.

    Went to my trusted hairdresser of many years today and she pulled out thinning sheets and uses them on the bottom maybe three or four inches of my hair! I couldn’t belie it and didn’t speak fast enough for the shock. ☹️ Please somebody tell me this isn’t permanent! I already have very fine hair strands, I don’t know what possessed her to do that. Very disappointed and scared to see how my waves/curls react.

    • @SwavyCurlyCourtney

      I think it is just how she had me cut my hair! I literally did exactly what she told me. There were a lot of sections and she would tell me to lift one section this way and trim it and another section lift that way and trim. It definitely worked.

      Suggestion to move your hair less with your hands as I found it difficult to really see the patterns of your curls with the difference between before & after. I've been looking for a video on cutting tips/ techniques for wavy curly hair but found this video confusing.
