Reading the comments, I respect everyone’s experience. It just helped me to realize that what works for one person may not work for another. We have different skin types. I’m planning to buy the rich cream and hair oil. I’ll buy it not only because of the benefits I might see or the hype but also because of the Professor’s dedication to science and long term research. I really appreciate that. Not many professors with patents are able to convert their findings into a viable business. So I’m going ahead to make the purchase without any high hopes. If it works, great. If it doesn’t, then I’ll just appreciate Prof Bader’s dedication to applied research.
Thanks for making this honest review.

I've been using only this since 2019 and I'm sure it saves me money as well as giving me my best skin so far, and I'm in my 60's. Redhead, bad packaging. Before this I spent money on cortisone cream, exfoliators for the flakes, heavy creams to glue the flakes down, etc. I was always managing my skin. I used this cream the way it was designed- nothing else- and over time I find one bottle lasts 5 months using 1 pump morning and evening. I attribute that to smoother, healthier skin surface. It also saves me time and worry. My skin is just not an issue and after a lifetime of avoiding dark coloured clothing, I can wear whatever I fancy because my no longer flakes onto my clothing, it stays comfortably on my face.

You clearly have gorgeous skin. No wrinkles or discoloration. I have wrinkles and spots, I’m 68...I see a difference actually instantly....I will say I still need more moisture...

I have had this for a month and I use the simplified Augustinus Bader routine only in the evening (Cleansing Balm, Essence, Rich Cream). In the day I stick to my Dr. Barbara Sturm routine, also good and clean ingredients. I think the evening routine with Augustinus Bader has made a difference in my skin! It's almost like a healing effect? Smaller pores, smoother texture, and a lot of the redness from some slight acne scarring has diminished. I love my Barbara Sturm routine but I feel like the evening routine with Augustinus Bader was a bit like steroids!

Wow I'm so shocked. I've been using the Rich cream for 2 months myself and I love it more than just about anything (which upsets me because it's darn expensive!). I do put ceramide serum on before.

Thank you so much for your honest review. The Cream and The Rich Cream are too heavy for my combo-skin so I will continue to maintain my La Mer & Granactive Retinoid skincare routine which I can tell you, have produced remarkable results on my mature skin. That said, I do love the Augustinus Bader Body Lotion and his Body Cream, it truly is hydrating and a firming body cream. The firming on my arms, hands, and legs are visible almost immediately. I'm thrilled I found his body lotion and body cream nothing else on the market has worked so well and so quickly.

I bought the rich cream during quarantine and used it straight for 27 days at night after cleansing and toning. I have always had very dry skin and I felt that it wasn't moisturizing enough at all and I had to apply my epionce skin care line after an hour of letting the rich cream soak in each night. My esthetician has always called my skin "english rose." It's very pale and very clear. My skin looks great but I honestly feel like it's not from the rich cream. Before I tried the rich cream, I decided to try skii essence and skinceuticals c e ferulic applying only in the morning before my moisturiser and sunscreen. And even though those products are also expensive, I feel like those have really helped my skin glow. I'm glad I tried this but I won't be buying another bottle. And the only reviews I found before buying it were from celebrities and beauty editors, like you said. It was really nice finding your honest review because I feel the same way!

Dear, I think your disappointment is coming from the marketing of the brand. Of course, you should keep on going on with masks, scrubbing and all! No way you can get away from that for weeks. It's a perfect lie to say that you just can stick to 2 creams in your beauty routine unless you're a 20 years old with baby skin... Synergy of good products, home facials + knowing exactly what your skin's type is the secret to flowless, fresh and healthy skin. Sending you good vibes from Spain 💛

Michele, I also purchased Professor Bader’s Rich Cream after reading all the reviews. And like you, I did not use any other products in terms of skin care in order to allow the cream to do its magic. From March 24th thru May 16th I was only Professor Bader’s Rich Cream. I had a few new skin problems but attributed that to my skin getting used to the cream. Finally realized it was the cream causing enlarged pores on my nose. I believe the Rich Cream’s oils are the culprit. As always, going back to Avene for sensitive skin. Great review Michele. Thank you.

Thanks for this honest and comprehensive review. I picked up The Cream and The Rich Cream so that I could compare them. I too was tempted by the idea of a paired down, simplified routine. To be quite honest, these were my least favorite luxury beauty purchases in years - maybe ever. The Rich Cream had the odd combination of being both too heavy, and yet extremely drying on my skin over time. I had to switch to The Cream, which I found to be less drying and much more tolerable in consistency for daytime use. However, I suffered a severe breakout on my forehead and around my jawline, the likes of which I haven’t seen since I was a teenager. After two or so weeks of hoping the bumps would pass, I gave up on these products and am still trying to repair the damage they did. I appear on camera for a living and it was shocking seeing my face in HD. The hype is clearly down to marketing, gifting to prominent editors, and the allure of an “all-in-one” miracle product. Unbelievably disappointing... I feel like I was duped and I’m irritated at myself for buying into the nonsense. Much like the Barbara Sturm line, I don’t think there’s anything here that justifies these prices (but at least her products don’t break me out). To anyone reading this - I truly believe you would be better off with a $10 CeraVe cream from your local drugstore.

I love watching your videos and I think they should be sending you PR products and not having your spend your own money because you have very thorough and honest reviews and you are so smart! With all of the lower-cost alternatives, I would never spend so much for a product. I love having Ipsy plus and Boxycharm so I can try products at a much lower cost and discover what I love that way!

No, the point of 27 days is because skin cell turnover is about 30 days (skin cells renew themselves every 27-30 days). Of course, this doesn't mean we have a new face once a month, but results should start showing as new healthier cells resurface (thanks to the cream). This is the theory, a little more medical than most people understand. Yes, I agree that Augustinus Bader is overhyped (I'm crying just looking at the price tag), probably not worth anyone's money. And one more thing, it is true that the brand wants you to use only one cream, but cream doesn't exfoliate. Skin turnover is a natural process and we should help new cells resurface, so anyone should use their exfoliant of choice when needed. This doesn't mean you're cheating on the cream, but helping your skin show the results (if any). Hope this makes sense. In a way their "one cream only" message refers specifically to that - creams (day creams, night creams, eye creams, hydrating creams, etc).
Thank you for the honest review!

Great review, I wanted to do some investigation before I spent that much money,. Thank you, you just saved me from spending my paycheck on this. I appreciate your honest review very much. I think most of the people that get their products comped to them tend to lean toward giving it a great review. I love that you purchased it yourself and you're sincere, honest review of this.

For me Augustinus Bader is a hype.
I bought the cream and the serum for over
£400,I stopped using Paulas Choice which worked amazing and only after 10 days of Augustinus Bader fine lines and wrinkles i thought were gone for good started appearing.
In only 10 days my skin aged terribly. I was prepared there is a chance it won't work but wasn't ready for this rapid aging.
What upsets me is you don't see you tube videos of people having the same experience so you think WOW this stuff is amazing and I want it. Internet however gives average 3.5 stars consumers rating.
Wish i saw your video before i spent all this money 😢

Question - are you putting this on totally clean skin and using it alone? When it's used over, or it is combined with other products, the benefits are harder to see. Use it like a serum and let it sink in before adding anything else.

This was completely useless. It says you don’t have to use other serums or anything else with it. False. It’s oily and doesn’t hydrate. It splits and no amount of shaking can get it to come together. It’s a waste of time.
