Just an fyi, the youth bomb cream from Beauty Pie is supposed to be a dupe for the AB cream. And $300 is way beyond anything I would spend and the BP is $50 which is great! Loved this video, so informative.
Great video. Don’t usually like collabs bc ppl tend to talk over each other and flatter each other too much but you two are fab, I loved it, and am now a new subscriber to Penn’s channel.
The alastin sunscreen really is impressive. I purchased it after hearing Lisa rave so much about it. I do see why it is such a favorite. It is far more coverage than you expect. It certainly gives enough coverage for you to run errands and feel like you have some evening out of your skin.
I’m going to be 60 in December. IMO just mine lol no hate but I’ve been using a tretinoin, glycolic pads am and a SPF always even when I’m inside, for at least 20 years and my skin looks amazing.
Hi Lisa and Penn. Lisa, If you are looking for a great Bakuchiol product, Sephora has their own brand. $20, and it works wonders. I combine it with my Tretinoin, since I've been using Tretinoin since my 20s. There are some great Korean essences that work so well, and aren't so expensive. Another great nighttime cream in a jar, is the Revolution Pro Miracle Cream. It's fabulous as a last step in your nighttime routine. It's thick and very creamy. Thank you both so much for this very informative video. ❤❤
Great video ladies! I use both ABader creams and like them. I use the rich cream at night and find if I take a pump and a half into my palm and really warm it up with my fingers it thins out and spreads out easier on my face. Also I don’t need as much of the product and my bottle lasts a bit longer. I’m 71 and have been using the Calecim line of products for 3 months and really like the way my face looks. Fortunately I don’t have deep lines on my face but can use some firming. Penn, I don’t know if you have heard of the brand but would love for you to do a video on it.
Another commenter said instead of the AB moisturizer for $300 there’s BeautyPie for $50. I’m still not paying $50! I can get a nice Inkey List moisturizer for $15.
Great info today! Thanks for introducing Penn to us! There's an award winning sunscreen that I really like from Colorescience called Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield Flex and it's SPF 50 😊
I agree with these assessments and the Osea moisture cream in the jar has been the only one to work in my painfully dry skin with eczema. That phenoxythanl ingredient is a preservative that I have a reaction too and I think it’s not that uncommon especially because it’s in so many products.
Great collaboration. Interesting about the Osea…the Ocean Eyes stings and irritates me as well. I am curious to deep dive and figure out what component is causing the stinging/irritation in the mentioned product as it’s the same with the roller eyes for me.
Penn mentioned a more affordable option to the LaMer. I was wondering what that might be. As much as I'd love to be able to buy something like that, there is no way I can spend my entire monthly grocery budget on one skincare product.
Oh Lisa, that line about your spf love of all time, only gettin spf10 .... good solution i thought though if finding a KBeauty spf50 then using that after..
What were some of the products or ingredients Penn mentioned? Like the Pachuki oil, lol? 🤷🏻♀️I didn’t see any links. Also, would love to know some products she said were so good in a Korean &/or Japanese line. Thank you both so much for this. 😊
I think you meant Bakuchiol - go find Penn's UA-cam channel and scroll through her videos. She really knows her stuff and highlights the top ingredients in everything she reviews to educate you on what works for each specific concern. I'm sure she has a video on products containing Bakuchiol.
As a daytime moisturizer I would recommend using La Mer's The Hydrating Infused Emulsion as a first step & add a bit of the moisturizing cream if necessary. I just bought a large size version at costco canada. I tried the Augustinus Bader Rich Moisturizer several times & just gave up.
Hi Lisa, I also love the Alastin sunscreen. I have tried several and love how this sits under makeup and also has just the right amount of glow...not too shiny. Can you tell me your thoughts on the Osea night moisturizer? I'm looking for a good hydrating one that will leave my skin feeling soft in am instead of tight and dry. I follow both of you for years and really love all the recommendations. I also have quite the BK beauty brush collection. FYI I think the 110 is the best concealer brush, even better than the A506. It just gets the job done quickly and coverage is so even.
Your skin is glowing and you’re aging in reverse, i thought that earlier this year, so you’re obviously doing it right. I heard Dr Andrea Dray mention putting a tiny drop of Vaseline around eyes to stop tretanoin (sorry can’t spell it!) migrating into eyes. That might work for you. Xx
This was an informative video. I LOVE the Alastin sunscreen too, Lisa. I do have Elta MD and Healthy Skin Lab sunscreens that I alternate with Alastin. But I love Alastin for the same reason as you. Because it's tint is a great match for my skin, I can put it on, put on some mascara and tinted lip balm and I'm out the door. Can you imagine 7-8 teaspoons??!!! 😳 For a second cleanse and for moisturizing I'm a Tatcha girl❣️
I bought the BR P50 1970 and wow was I caught off guard by the smell. Hopefully it does something, if not the smell is just too… for lack of better words it brings me back to anatomy class. 😳
Don't you use Jane Iredale minreal makeup as powder as well? you could you your Alastin sun screen and then dust with the Jane Iredale, that powder works for sun protection! Both of those together I would think would really give you protection!
Awesome video! I've been using BR Lotion P50 PIGM and P50V for years, I still haven't mustered up the courage to try the 1970 version because it has phenol in it and the ingredient was banned in Europe. Can you please provide some insight if Phenol is safe to use and whether it is safe to use long-term vs short-term. I really want to try the 1970 version since i've tried almost all BR products except this one. Thanks again!
Hi Merry! The P50 has a few different versions and it's best to find the right formula for your skin type. It's best to ease into using it. So, every couple of days to start.
I could never understand spending these obscene prices on skin care. Maybe if I had that money to spend I would feel differently. Packaging does not matter to me. What is in the product is much more important.
This is great but most people can’t afford these high end products… it would have been helpful to offer an alternative to each group that is affordable for the general population…I lost interest when I realized I couldn’t invest in most of these products ….
Tower 28 makes a serum with hypochlorus acid too. Lisa, I don’t think you need to use Bukuchiol. You can most likely use retinol just avoid prescription tretinoin
Biologique just hurts my skin...don't like it ... An absolutely game changing product for me is the Ordinary Grenactive retinoid which is gentle enough to use every night . ❤
Hey Lisa, correct me if I’m wrong, but I have a feeling that I’ve watched this video before with Penne looking and rating your skincare products…🤔🤔🫣🫣❤️❤️

How many pumps did it take to get the proper amount of SPF?? 😊
I just love how Penn breaks down and explains the different ingredients so we know what key things we should look for in our products! Thank you!!
Wish she could have recomm some Korean products

Thanks for doing this. Penn is just an awesome, down-to-earth, relatable creator. And she's beautiful.
I'm grateful you're here !

I LOVE the La Mer Treatment Lotion so I’m glad to hear it’s a great quality product!
Excellent video! Very Well Done, Thank you!
My skin hated phenol, retinol, and vit C. 😢 but i can use anything from Skii and Bader🤑
I’m going to be 60 in December. IMO just mine lol no hate but I’ve been using a tretinoin, glycolic pads am and a SPF always even when I’m inside, for at least 20 years and my skin looks amazing.
Do you reapply thru out the day?
I used de kate somerville sunscreen is 40 spf and is also like a vacuum and I love the texture
I've been using a spray with the hypochlorous acid to clear up horrible acne on my upper back. It's working wonders!!

I’ve come across so many more reasonably priced skin care that I refuse to pay over $40-50 for anything, skincare or makeup.

Wow, that was. VERY educational. I use Badger’s Rich cream but, it is so expensive? I want to find an alternative.
I use inci decoder for every product.
You must try Innbeauty Extreme cream -def has AB vibes in terms of consistency .👍
I have the same issue with tretinoin. I had to stop using it because of the negative effects on my eyes.
Hello Lisa great video interesting skincare routine ❤🎉😊😊 xx
Thank you Lisa
I use AmorePacific Essence. A bit less $$ as La Mer. My face is so bright and feels great. This s my first step after cleansing.

P.s. really informative video thank you!
I always put a thick balm around eyes and on lips before Tretinoin and never had a problem even with my dry eyes.
Very informative video. Thanks.😊

Loved this! My take away is not to waste the product, use it somewhere else 😊. Goodness, that A.B. Line is expensive!!!

A similar and less expensive product is the liquid exfoliant from Paula’s Choice
Do you use all of the serums and products each night or do you alternate?
Good morning- I'm 77. Would Biologique Recherche, P50 Lotion 1970 be ok for me to use or would another product be better?
Hi Merry! The P50 has a few different versions and it's best to find the right formula for your skin type. It's best to ease into using it. So, every couple of days to start.
@@lisajmakeup Thank you, Lisa
Most people can’t afford these products. Maybe get one product as a splurge!
Why do you use products that are so expensive?
22:30 *cries in phenoxyethanol allergy* Good info about other ingredients following after it, though!
La Mer has never worked well for me. La Prarie skincare doesn’t either. I have found some good picks from Penn’s channel from DRMTLGY.
The instant angels moisturizer is my number one absolute favorite moisturizer since launch😊 Hope you love it Lisa 😊
I have a skincare routine that has took years from my skin. I’m aging in reverse
What is it?
What is your routine?
