in my opinion for a fraction of the price, avene xeracalm balm (not the cream version!) is a great alternative to The Rich Cream by Augustinus Bader , the rich feeling, the texture, the great ingredients, and super calming for irritated skin

Agree with you sir. Augustinus worked for me. It removed the acne scars during my teenage years and i have now mature skin. No layering for me after cleansing just toner then augustinus Rich cream.

it happens to me too, SPF really help my dark spot dissapear.
and i would say using skincare is include the experience too, while others talking about how luxury brand actually just make the same products as the drugstore. i do believe the experience of using such a luxury like Augustinus Bader, La Mer, so on are different.
and let me recommend you one moisturizer that i think did a good job at least for me, its from Kiehls - Ultra Facial Cream.
Skingredients seems to be a nice brand, we get it easily here in Ireland. Their mineral sunscreen is actually quite nice and does not leave that awful white cast that other mineral sunscreens do! I mainly use Paula's Choice products, while they're a bit more expensive their products have great ingredient lists with many well studied actives. For my vitamin C serum I use the Geek and Gorgeous C Glow. It has almost identical ingredients, but is much cheaper at €12.50.

Hi from Mayo 😊 I've found an even more amazing sunscreen here in Lidl Claremorris, a reformulation of their Cien Kids Sun Cream SPF50 ...it has ZERO bad ingredients, and literally glides onto and into the face, 2.99 for the small tube, no white cast, stunning!!!! La Roche have fragrance in some, and Lidl are cruelty free, leaping bunny certified.
I am so excited to try some of these. My skin has definitely felt the effects from treatment. And I’m bored of over priced over scented products pushed on you.
Please try the Glossier balm when you get a chance. It's basically like a hug in a bottle for your skin 🖤
I know what you mean by saying these luxury brands seem to be a rip-off sometimes. Personally I tried the full la prairie skincare routine for 6/7 months and I have to say I felt like it did nothing for my skin, but I switched brands to others (more focused on actives and less expensive) and I could see results on my skin ! But still la prairie does a foaming cleanser that I cant replace ! I love only that cleanser so much

I had one question is it necessary to use an applicator for the creams/baumes? I've heard if you use your fingers you can cause the product to grow mold or go bad much quicker.

Skingredient brand is not available in the US except at one website which is the Cult Beauty. I will order one item and find out if they are legit and if anyone is interested I can let you know about the experience.
