Untouched Abandoned House In The Woods! | Family Vanished!

  • This home located in Allegheny County in a heavily wooded area off a long dirt road, there are actually 2 homes abandoned in the woods here, but we did not gain access to the second one as it was locked but through the windows it was empty. This home however after doing my research the family who lived here suddenly disappeared in 2001 and stopped paying there utility bills, stopped paying property taxes, & never changed there address after that through the US postal service, WEIRD! The home features a lot of normal everyday items, but also some antique appliances, model airplanes, model boats, vintage items, this abandoned house has a little bit of everything. Abandoned house in the woods of Pennsylvania, located near pittsburgh. Exploring abandoned places is always an adventure, but we ran into this one on accident while hiking!
    Urban exploration. Exploring. Urbex. Urbex world. Abandoned places. Abandoned in Pennsylvania. Abandoned in pittsburgh. Bando. Untouched abandoned place. Abandoned houses. In the Forest. Urban explorer. Urban decay. Abandoned mansion? Not quite.

    If you take those photos you saw for the projector, you can hold them up to the light and use your phone to see the photos. I used to look at my grandfathers old photos that way. Such a neat little discovery. I wonder if they vanished from an accident or if they truly disappeared by choice.

    If nobody knew the family's plans, it's been decades later a disappearance was proven a bad accident happened and no witnesses as to where a car left a road.

    Looks like an elderly person or couple lived there with decades of life stored in the place. They then suddenly died and there were no children or relatives to take care of or claim the home.

    Thanks for the tour... Being from PA and involved in music, I was licking my eyebrows thinking about all those rare old record albums just sitting there! It would be interesting to find out why a family would just up and leave like that and not take their belongings with them. Thanks for sharing please do more!

      If the family was an old couple they could have passed away and you cant take it with you. This is what happens a lot of the time and for whatever reason the extended family just doesnt care about the belongings.

      There could also be legality issues too. Say family members are fighting over the property. If someone passed away with no written will as who the house goes too. Say the bank is involved too. And maybe the state wants to tear is down. It can take awhile for things to get cleared up.

    • @Sandy-pr5qq
      @Sandy-pr5qq 4 роки тому

      @@Nic-vf7hi yes you are right. Here in US when old people go into a nursing home the home has some kind of claim to the property not sure how that works but i have heard that.

    I find it strange that do many explorers say it's so sad when material items are left to rot. Ultimately, and definitely not to be morbid, we leave and the stuff we gathered is left behind. Totally useless and worth nothing. Which brings me to my next thought of who makes up how much "things" cost? So strange to me.

    • @whoville1064
      @whoville1064 4 роки тому

      Because things increase in value over time with it aging and less of that thing being produced due to advances.. which means in turn some of this stuff he finds could very well be worth a lot more than what it was worth when the actual owners got them. Prices depend on the function, Material, and age.

    Nice find. I bet if those records were in great condition, someone would love to buy them, I mean some people like buying records now.. and that motorcycle would probably be a great project to restore.
    I only been in one abandoned building in my entire life, I took photos of it starting in 2013 all the way to 2019.. learned so much about it, sadly though it's very unsafe now since the front wall collapsed, I do not know what's holding it up other than gravity.. but there's gotta be some collapse happening soon... It's been down since 2015, since then it's been hit heavily by vandals. It was a 2 story brick mansion.. but the first floor was exposed the entire front wall is down only a few layers of bricks holding it up and someone put a log in to hold up the second floor but this year or sometime last year someone removed that log and the second floor on both sides is sagging finally..

    • @NewEnglandOtaku
      @NewEnglandOtaku 4 роки тому

      @@Thriftdaddygaming It's pretty much the only building I learned so much about, it was built in the 1860's as a log cabin, by 1880, it was converted into a brick mansion.. by 1960, it was owned by it's final owners, husband and wife.. both of them doctors and both of them from California.. The husband died first and the wife lived a while longer.. I am not sure how long it was abandoned but when I found it in 2013, it was in rough condition but everything was standing and by 2015, the front wall was down, side addition was collapsed and over the next few years was hit by vandals, the main staircase disappeared in 2017.. 2018 vandals pushed whatever wasn't valuable into the basement... book cases, records,furniture... someone stole the old vintage stove that was in there.. it would have been worth a few thousand dollars.. I have no clue how they moved it out of there without falling through the floor.. I went inside and took tons of photos and this year I haven't got there yet but some local person took photos of it, that's when I noticed the second floor sagging on the left side which was held up by a tree log.. someone managed to knock it down I guess because the floor finally sagged, the walls on both sides are bulging outward.. but they have been for a few years now..

    I think the owners of these homes probably have homes in several different places. So when the leave on vacation their intentions aren’t to abandon the home they just get comfortable where they are and c don’t go back. Over time they justify t don’t fell like going back so the home sits there rotting.
