David, the mantra that helped me to stop worrying is “if there is a solution to the problem then there is no reason to worry, if there is no solution to the problem then there is no reason to worry” Like everything, this takes time to achieve..
Great video! Because of your house hacking advice years ago I was able to grow my real estate portfolio to about $1.1M (minus mortgages of $270k, we are left with equity of $830k) at 27 years older. So I’m almost a millionaire on my real estate alone because of what you guys teach. Just wanted to say thank you, and if I can do it by simply following BPP then everyone else can too! I’m not a genius or anything, I just took a leap of faith and house hacked my way to wealth.
As a second-year college student attempting to become a millionaire by 30, I have been thinking about house hacking. It may be a good idea to accumulate properties and the only thing holding me back is I fear having properties and moving out of state. The fear is just paying property managers or companies too much. I am starting this year and unfortunately have very little capital. So I may need to do some side hustling (scalable income). I do have my real estate license however fees are a lot.
Thank you two so much for both your content and inspiration! I’m 23 and just got out of the rat race with 12 rental units. I also crossed a million dollar net worth and these principles were definitely key to that journey! Thank you for the podcast, channel, books, and the example!
I bought 6 single family houses this year out of state investing but it’s 75% debt and 25% equity. I live in NYC so it’s extremely difficult to find cash flow unless you put down $300k on a $900k property. Therefore I invest out of state. However, after putting down $300k on the 6 properties and it’s an average of 11% return in B class areas. I’m noticing too much of my equity is tied up. I have to learn to use more of other peoples money and to use Helocs into BRRRRs. I’m improving my creative financing skills. I’ve seen some people smarter than me put very little money down on houses and there’s nothing but upside. Learning to be like them
@@sobriquet1981 Study different markets and see if it cash flows. Start by calling realtors, property managers and don’t be afraid. You’ll be surprised how many people want to help.
BiggerPockets thank YOU for pouring into me and others around this world! BiggerPockets has impacted my life more ways than one. Keep up the GREAT work.
When David was talking about pushing a Boulder up the mountain, it damn near brought a tear to my eye. Just last night I was talking with my dad about how it’s all starting to feel like too much, so much so that just taking care of myself is feeling like a chore. But hearing that gave me a new sense of hope, that there is something on the other side.
Some really wise words from David in the Famous Four. Anxiety about something that we want in the future is pointless. If you are doing everything that you can to create that future, then you should be excited about WHEN it's going to happen, not IF. That's something I need to work on myself. Also, Brandon's song "Heartbeat" is pretty awesome, everyone should go check it out! The link is in the description.
In the example of the investor relations guy who was able to bring another person onto his team to help with the workload, what do you do if your company refuses to add another team member? I am in that situation now and my company is telling me that I just have to keep my head down and do the work, but my productivity and mental health is suffering and they don’t really care.
Gravity has been debunked by highly intelligent people, people who are more intelligent than your favorite scientist. But I get the point you were attempting to make nonetheless. Besides that, pretty good show.

That is so true. Most people don't want to learn about money, but they complain all the time about being broke.

Any tips on how to invest out of state successfully? I live in CT and I’m trying to do the same thing. Thank you.

Pace Morby is fantastic at that! They had him on a couple times, and he has his own channel. Highly recommend
David’s “habit or trait” answer was HUGE! Soo many needed to hear that- thank you for articulating that as well as you did

Great show guys.. love the content.
What about syndication?
Excellent show, so valuable. Brandon, I have a mobile home park deal I think you and your team should look at. Who should I talk to?
Giving back without expectation of a return is how the universe will reward you. You get what you give.
More people should listen to this kind of content.
Great as usual. Thanks folk

Many people forget the income part of the equation, you need income to continue to invest, it's a long term process!
Anybody wanna be friends and talk about real estate?
Anyone from the Philippines who follow BiggerPockets like me?

You don't need 10 steps. 1. Buy XRP, 2 wait 3. Sell some when moon 4. Buy real estate.
I get distracted with so many like, like, like, like.
Please turn off that tendency.
