I went to the Distillery this past Wednesday hoping to pick up a bottle of the 8 year bourbon, but they were out of it. I had to settle for a pour of it from the bar upstairs and it was really good.
Would be curious as to how you think the NR 8 yr rye compares to the standard and SiB NR ryes. New Riff is one of those distilleries that if they put out something new, I'm going to try it because I haven't had a bad spirit from them yet. That being said, I was somewhat underwhelmed by the NR 8 yr bourbon. It was very good, but I actually like the NR SiB bourbon more (and it's about $20/bottle cheaper). I'm more of a rye guy than bourbon and have been very impressed by the NR ryes I've had (standard, SiB, malted, Balboa) and I'll pick up the 8 yr rye if I see it in a store.

I like the 8 year bourbon, haven’t seen the rye yet. I do have the 6 year malted rye and the Balboa rye. Both of them are very good.
