Hi all! Below is the link to the new Kessil lights. Since they’re brand new, they be in and out of stock for a while but worth checking back here occasionally. Thanks for watching! - Kessil Tuna Sun A360XE LED Light: bulkreefsupply.sjv.io/21AzdD
I like the shadows from the fish on the white sand in the 180. I have a few of the older kessil lights and seem to be working fine after all these years. I now use them for supplemental lighting of my cactus.
Awesome video! I just love looking at the fish. You certainly can tell the difference on the discus tank regarding the lighting. A really great improvement. All the camera shots of the fish were amazing, the close-ups super. Rambo was extra helpful today. Always nice when he is around. Troy are we maybe missing a few discus, I can only see the two today? I knew the one was weaker but I thought there were five. Have a fintastic night with the family. Love and Peace.
Thanks for sharing! I'm definitely a puck style fan myself so these were an option for me. However, a little too much for my budget :( I went with PopBloom lights(cheaper alternative) and very happy with them
Troy reach out to Aquarium Co Op because that light should not look like that. I have two of them and they’re definitely white. Also recently set up a 20 gallon Cube reef tank and am using the Kessil A80 Tuna and love it. I know it’s an older light and not an AI but so far i’m a fan.
Thanks for the great video! The shimmer is amazing and the color is lovely but overall it looks messy with all the extra dongles and cables hanging off the lights not to mention how much all those things add to the cost and complexity. I like my systems to look and feel clean-minimizing the rats nest of tubes and wires that proliferate in all tank set ups if you aren’t careful.
Quit question bro I’ve got a 40 gallon breeder I would love to do an overhead light but I can find any glass tops only DIY stuff off u tube any suggestions? Thanks 💯 love the family channel
Do you think a third light for the 180 would help with the shadowing I see in the video? That would bother me over time, but I don’t think it would justify the cost in a freshwater tank.
Hey I'm trying to decide between the AI Prime and AI Blade for my 5ft 120 gal African cichlid tank. Which would you recommend? I can't afford the Kessil at the moment.
For the traditional long led strips, I think the AI blade is maybe the best but very pricey. Fluval aquasky is a budget friendly option that still looks good
Dammnnnn 450 a piece and it’s not even WiFi ready if you have the coin and want these why not but I’ll stick with the ai prime only thing no hate about the ai prime is the mounting arm it’s good for a while then loses grip and sags maybe it’s because it’s on acrylic and not a glass tank
Yeah, AI primes are great too. I found the kessils to be just slightly better looking when tuned right. The mounting arm was def more durable. But AI primes can connect to Mobius app which is prob the best of the aquarium apps so far
@@CichlidBros never heard of Mobius app what’s it do ? I use to think the only light that did shimmer was ai prime but my Aqueon optibright led on my 40 gallon also has shimmer I think shimmer is affected by water agitation I really like the puck style led lights I may return the Aqueon and get another ai prime for the 40
@cichlids253 I’d try out the mobius app. The AI app is tough to use and the mobius one lets you connect any of the AI, Ecotechs, and more. I found it much easier to use

They definitely take it to the next level! Had mine for years and couldn’t be happier, even with the original tuna suns
How does this light do with growing plants? Ive got a decent "ecosystem" set up but would love this light if i could maintain my plant growth
Absolutely the best light, have a couple kessils on my 180

Hi!Huge difference, it makes that shimmer pop out.Thank you.✌🇵🇷💪.🐟
Thanks for watching!
Great review Troy although I will never be able to afford such expensive lighting but with that said they do look really really good
Omg what a huge difference! Beautiful shimmer effect as well!!
I think so too!
Have a good day guys! God bless!
That's a lot of skrilla for a light, but damn, that shimmer is dope!
Cool review
Thanks!

Thank you Sandy! Yep, a few of the discus were camera shy. There’s 5 of them in there at the moment. Loving that tank with the new lights though!
@@CichlidBros glad they are all in there

Fair enough!
Next level and if you want to see them better clean the glass tops. The light will go crazy.
Good video👍
Thanks 👍
I love Rambo😂
Lol he loves unboxings
Awesome lights little out of my price range but I can see why it would be worth it
Rambo lookin thicc! 😊
😹😹

You’ve got pregnant Remi nose tetras, I’ve never seen that before! So cool!

Usually big pet stores will care different sized lids, or you can usually order on Amazon for commons sizes

After compare them for a long long time, I go for Ai prime fresh water, cheaper price, an with WiFi control,’and prefer the looks of Ai one as well

I have two Kessil A80 Tuna blues, do tyou know if these can be controlled via the new bluetooth controller? thx
Not 100% sure. If they have the plug in on top for a K Link cord then they should be
What kind of led light do you recommend

@CichlidBros ok are the clip on lights expensive
It looks awesome, but How do I justify $450 for lights to the wife😢😢😢.
They are definitely nice. But for 449 each they better be!!
Pls i want this 😢
The wifi should absolutely be built in. I'm sure future products will be more "turn key"
Yeah it’s definitely a drawback
sicce giveaway results??
Soon!
Maybe, if you can afford one pair let alone two pairs.

They are over priced. If you are mick jagger like, then it's 😎 cool I suppose. Lol
