Together with "from now on", "without holding back" and "Don't be long", one of four great instrumentals from Band-Maid. I've said it before, and I say it again: Band-Maid are incredible instrumentalists.
I predate you by about three months. They rock on UA-cam, they're twice as hot on CD. Just a great set of musicians, and their orchestration is stunning. You hear a little more each time you listen.
Just discovered these ladies a little while ago and and have been going through their catalog. These ladies are serious instrumentalist not to mention good heavy metal writers with excellent lyrics. But their instrumentals are way, way over the top. I'm a fan, hardcore!!

This is one of the best instrumentals I have ever heard. That is not to say that the ones that BAND-MAID made after this were not good, when this song came out and when I "found" it there was nothing like it that I had heard before. It is the perfect non-lyrical way to introduce a band to someone who hesitates to jump in the waters of Japanese rock and metal. They fire on all cylinders and each member gets a chance to shine. Absolutely LOVE this song.
Are we not going to talk about how Misa switches from picking to slapping at 2:33, by catching her pick in the crook of her index finger, _without missing a beat!_

she holds her pick in between her thumb and ring finger so she still has two fingers free at the top to finger pick, and instead of slapping for palm mute all she has to do is rotate her hand around the pick…probably that’s how she’s able to play so fast without getting caught up. Truly masterful
Thank you--I've been into this band for over a year and a half and was blown away when I first heard their song Thrill. 15 seconds in I said wow and these women are some serious players. でも技巧派のツインギターのバンドって多いから、BAND MAIDはこの感じの方がかえって特色出てますよね。

I love how Misa switches from using her pick in her solo to slapping.
she holds her pick in between her thumb and ring finger so she still has two fingers free at the top to finger pick, and instead of slapping for palm mute all she has to do is rotate her hand around the pick…probably that’s how she’s able to play so fast without getting caught up. Truly masterful
And how fast she switches between slap and pick. Like lightning fast

Thank you--I've been into this band for over a year and a half and was blown away when I first heard their song Thrill. 15 seconds in I said wow and these women are some serious players. Love the Darkness and Band-Maid deserves more recognition. They were about to break out then the pandemic hit. Welcome! Plenty more material to check out.
