Not gonna lie, Wesley Snipes as Simon Phoenix is basically what I always wanted out of a live-action Joker. As much as I enjoyed Jack Nicholson and Health Ledger's Jokers, it's a shame the live-action Batman movies tended to shy away from making Joker too goofy or clown-ish (when that's part of what makes him so scary - the juxtaposition between silly jokester and terrifying psychopath).
Apparently his daughter is still in the movie even though it’s never referenced - she’s the random girl he seems to be protecting in the sewer shootout.
Demolition Man is a movie that's so bad, it's good!! It's cartoonish, over the top, and it's ridiculous at times.. But, it adds up to an entertaining movie
"To celebrate the film's 25th anniversary, Taco Bell recreated the 2032 San Angeles version of their restaurant at the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con.[31] Dennis Rodman had his hair dyed and styled the same way Snipes' Simon Phoenix had it before his San Antonio Spurs debut, starting Rodman dyeing his hair in different colors. However, Snipes hated his hairdo and shaved it off after filming had wrapped.[32] On May 4, 2020, Stallone had confirmed, during an Instagram Q&A, that a sequel is currently in development.[33]"
I loved Demolition Man when I was a kid. I also loved Taco Bell so anytime I saw it on cable, I wanted to get Taco Bell after. The marketing was brilliant.

Yeah, the Golden Lords guy? That movie was dumb fun.
Montesama314 I can’t remember all of the movie cause I was a little kid at the time but I remembered what the main bad guy looked like lol
I love how he got original put to sleep for not caring about the bodycount and as soon as he gets a club he puts a man in a coma from touching a random person, can you imagine if he didn't understand that club and actually hit someone with it 😂😂😂

This was one of my favorite movies back in the day. Still is.
Took me a while to realize "Demolition Man' was supposed to be referencing Sylvester Stallone's character instead of Wesley Snipes.
Dude, Snipes in this film lookin’ like a black Duke Nukem! XD
Billy's laugh is the absolute best!
You can tell Sly had to keep from cracking up when Sandra asked him if he wanted to have sex. That pause 😂😂😂😂😂
Last action hero another classic
I need that ticket.
👍
Yall tripping this was a dope movie
I love this movie. The underlying philosophy and messaging are actually quite brilliant.
I think Wesley Snipes character really carried the weight of the fun in the movie. He had me laughing at wrong stuff.
Absolutely. Like: "...excuse me, museum patreon. Can I h..."- *B-O-O-O-O-M-!-!-!-!*
This movie is so importantly relevant today in society.
Snipes was the 1st black Joker and he was freaking awesome.
Three minutes into the review and I’m about to die laughing
10-year-old me watching 24:20 -- "YES, this movie has boobs in it!"
Two minutes later -- *I'VE BEEN BETRAYED!*
And then the apartment scene afterwards was a nice treat.
well... if you paused it at the right time...
Cat Daddy knows that you don't turn down that thang coming out of cyro.
1st Demolition Man was one of the best movies in my generation. 2nd Weasly Snipes WAS the BEST part of this movie and it also jump started his range as an action actor cause right after this came I believe if not mistaken "Passenger 57" which led to Blade eventually.
never understood the hatred for this movie. it was fun, funny, inovative, and a sci fi movie that wasnt trying to be a copy of star wars nor another rom com.
NOT A BAD MOVIE AT ALL , ACTUALLY ONE OF THE BEST ACTION MOVIES EVER MADE
If anything, this movie was prophetic!
"Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot!" Please tear this movie apart someday.
Yes I agree
I love this movie. It's one of those when it's a rainy day and you're off work and have nothing to do and just wanna relax and watch a fun movie.
Wesley Snipes dressed like evil super Mario.
I heard they were making a part 2 to Demolition Man.
Was it me or Wesley Snipes would make a good Joker back in the day? Just watch the movie and think that Wesley is the joker who was sent to the future (minus the racism).
I reckon he could still do it now n have denzel as lex
I hear rumor that both Sylvester Stallone & Wesley Snipes are returning for the sequel.
Simon Phoenix is the greatest movie villain ever....period.
I saw this for the 1st time during Quarantine. It's amazing. 10/10 not bad at all.
I always thought Wesley's performance was Joker like. Thought that was awesome.
The movie also predicted the pandemic of no toilet paper 🧻 but instead the 3 Sea Shells
-"Set yo ass on fiyah!!!"- This review kills me...😂😂😆😂😆😂😆☠☠☠☠☠☠
I couldn't imagine Jackie chan being in this movie lol
Mannnnnnn!!! This and Double Dragon were my movies back in the day!!! And Double Toasted grilled both of them 😂😂😂 #Dang #The90s
This roast just made me love this film even more.
Guilty pleasure!! I'll stop and watch it evertime I see it
Sandra Bullocks character does state when they viewed Simon Phoenix's rehab program would turn someone mad. So that explains his erratic behavior. He was already a menace prior to the rehab.
Yeah, I actually love this movie and always have. Yes, it's clearly over the top and silly and God knows what the hell Wesley Snipes is doing but that's really the charm of it.
