It would be a great idea to do the torture test on the Hublot. But also do it to a Rolex. See which holds up better
That would be great new segment for channel. Test out watches - smash, scratch, water resistance.... And do it with cheap and popular watches like up to 5k.

The Explorer II probably didn't get a ceramic bezel due to the watches purpose i.e. tool watch for cavers. Ceramic may not scratch with 'day to day', but if you catch it sharply on a rock (as a caver might well do) then it will shatter and fall off the watch. Hence it wouldn't serve its purpose to show day or night when underground. The metal bezel will just dent or ding but won't shatter - so will still remain useful for its intended purpose.
Similar reason hesalite is still used on the space worn speedy's - it cracks if hit rather than shatters, as you wouldn't want bits of sapphire crystal floating around your space ship.
How many cavers would wear an explorer when there are much ether god tier G-Shocks for considerably less??

The calibar i.e. engine of the hublot is worth ca. 1000$, but the watch costs 8000$, so the 7000$ difference is the overpriced part. Granted, hublot has to build a casing, strap, all the overhead such a big company has, but all in all this watch shouldnt cost more than 2000$
Nope, the calibre is worth less than 400 british pounds on an 8000 pound watch.

Yes Niko!!! I’d like to thank you for subconsciously teaching me about watches purely through amazing content. I think the first video I saw of yours was when you reacted to I belive it was KSIs watch but since then I good as haven’t missed a video. I find myself scrolling through Instagram shorts sometimes and I’ve noticed that sometimes from just a quick glance I know or have a rough idea about what watch they are wearing and maybe some basic info. Today it was this short and it was “what do you notice about this photo” after maybe 3 seconds of looking at this photo of two random men stood at a distance from the camera with a beautiful scenic view in the background. I noticed that they both had the Patek Philippe, Nautilus Tiffany and co. After watching your videos I just subconsciously know that now, along with other instances ofcourse but I just wanted to thank you.
