I was following your instructions for a 2012 Honda Civic and when I came to minute 1:46, taking apart the internal battery box, I was following your directions by inserting the screw driver as you directed to separate the two parts, but it wouldn't separate. So I went to a different video which explained you just separate the two parts by hand by unclipping one end with your fingernail. If I would have forced it using the screwdriver it would have broken the clip on the end.

i need one for my wife's honda crv 2012 too she says is not working anymore this has nothing to do with having starting problems right? ( battery good, new starter and alternator)

If anyone is trying to see if Cr2016 will fit in place of cr1616 don’t bother. The 2016 is slightly bigger, it won’t be a snug fit. Battery is already hard enough to push back in as it is.
