My name is Bre. I took two years of small engine repair at the local college. When I left school, I fell into a wonderful job at a local small engine shop where I worked the counter for a couple years. In 2010 my husband and I opened up our own small engine shop in central Arkansas where I am able to work alongside my family and best friends. We see over 2,000 pieces of small engine equipment every year, and answer 1,000's of small engine questions. We specialize in brands such as Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Echo and Shindaiwa, but work everyday on MANY other brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, Craftsman, Remington, Red Max, Troy Bilt, Scag, Bad Boy, Hustler, World Lawn, Poulan, Mantis, Etc.. Hopefully, my experience I share, will save you Time, Money and Frustration in the future!

And I Bow to the Great Lawnmower Queen
Our Nation has become a throwaway society rather than trying to put in time and little money and fix it back to almost new. Great job enjoy it like to see more.
The whole developed world is throwaway. If you ever visit developing nations (India is a great example) you’ll find whole streets of repair shops for everything from washing machines to tvs to toasters to cameras. You name it, you’ll find someone who’ll not only repair it, but fabricate any parts they need. Just like the USA in the 1950’s.
That was awesome. You turned a bad mower into a good running mower. You should try to get $1,500 for it.
As a DIY person and an long time engineer, I enjoy seeing someone take pride in his or her work! Nice job! Subscribed!
"It started!" Been there, and it never gets old! Good for you!
Hey Girl I hope you plan more of these Trash to Treasure videos. Really enjoyable to watch and view the end result. 🙂🚜🐻 Bear. Happy New Year. Love your work.
Thanks Greg! Happy New Year!
Fantastic.. ready to mow again.. another one saved..
Thanks Mick! See you today if you have a live!
I do the same thing all winter long in my small engine shop with chainsaws ,Mowers ,Tillers and pressure washers .Makes me a ton of $$$ in the spring!
Sure does! It's nice to get that profit boost after a slow winter.
It’s what I do to, the heat bought me to quit at 100 but cold don’t bather me
Buy all summer and fix in winter
Great video, as usual. I don't have a business, just have a small shop where I do work to keep busy. I do get some stuff in from people who don't want it anymore. Fix it up if I can and either sell it for a small profit or give it away. Just got in a Troy Bilt self propelled mower, Troy Bilt Pressure washer, Troy Bilt edger, a Troy Bilt and Husqvarna trimmer, Poulon Pro chain saw and a Proforce 3000 generator. This stuff looked new. The guy that had it hired a yard care company and no longer needed the equipment. I've gone through most of it. Most had bad gas in it. Anyway, cleaned, replaced parts as needed, changed oil and got it all running. It will be sent back to him and donated for use by a veteran motorcycle group to either sell or give away to a vet. I've been a mechanic for over 40 years, jet engines, recips and a host of other equipment. Still learning.
I really enjoy your tutorials Where a outs on Arkasas is you shop? I'd like to meet you folks. Have a great 2022.P
Good job. Bree, i am john. Another Grass Rat. Your Husband is very happy to have another , tool Box enthusiastic. Very good work & information. Thank you young lady.
Great project. One less machine in the trash heap. Job well done, Thanks
Mower looks fine. Reduce, reuse, recycle. wash, rinse, repeat and you have a clean, used mower to live/mow another day.
Looks brand new
Trash to treasure videos are awesome.
I love that grey kitty!
When installing an engine I put two bolts with the heads cut off loose into the engine in the positions that are easiest to get to on the tractor. They become alignment pins so it's now easy to place the engine and put the bolts into the harder to get at locations. When the other two bolts are put in it is now a matter of removing the alignment bolts and installing the mounting bolts. Makes life alot easier.
Awe kitty!!!! ❤
Fantastic! If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't believe it. I am so impressed with your knowledge and your patience to do a great job. It looks brand new. Love watching all of your videos, so much knowledge you share with us. Thank you.
Love the transformation, in NZ a reasonable 2nd hand ride-on would be $1000 to $1500, with a new one approx $4500. Really enjoying these trash to treasure videos.
No way. It's a poulan
Maybe 600-700 used
@@chaseshurtleff3699 in perfect shape lol
I love that Yamaha 4 wheeler that's nice.
I really appriciate people who try to fix things that are fixable so that they could last another few years instead of scrapping, also less polution. I'm a creep myself for holding on to old stuff and not getting a new one
I'm always building tools to help me restore Coleman lanterns. A 9/16" bent wrench is needed to loosen the burner frame nut. I also had to grind down a 15/16' deep well socket to remove and reinstall the valve from the fount. Cheers from eastern TN
Doing that on vacation you obviously enjoy what you're doing that's great
It looks great and would be worth around $700 out my way. I am very jealous of your boneyard.
AWESOME , I love these videos . I just got a tiller for 15 dollars . Man said it doesn’t run . I got it home and sprayed a little starter fluid in the intake and the thing busted off on the first pull . I even called the guy back and asked him did he want it fixed . He said no , I’ve already bought a new one !!!!! I will be fixing this one up and sell it !!! Please keep making the videos . I wish I had the wheel horse in the beginning of the video !!!!!
Thanks Del!
I picked up a snowblower a few months ago right off the curb from one of my neighbors. He said take it. I thought I may use it for parts. Well with very little cleaning (the primer bulb hose was disconnected) it started right up, was in excellent shape, worked 100% and got me $350.00 in my wallet. Win,win!
That is awesome. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it.
Excellent work. Price of new and sacristy of new and new motors made with plastic
Outstanding! People that can work with their hands are rich.
Like the back ground music, good job.
Great video on restoring this old Poulan riding mower. Trash into treasure is a great idea. I am sure there are lots of folks who like this type of video.
Thanks 👍
That mower turned out pretty sweet
It looks brand new 2 thumbs up
I love bringing discarded equipment back to life. I'm envious of your boneyard full of projects.
You did a great job. It's good to see people restore things like these!
Once again Chickanic does it again!😊👍
Love that redneck winch with the 4 wheeler. Guilty of rednecking a winch too!!! lol
Great job. There is a huge market for this. Fix it right, clean it up, people dont buy ugly. Thanks again. Take care, Darrell :)
I agree on ugly paint on engine
Paint job will sale it every time
Nice job, Old to New
Great redo, as always!!! Thanks
I was glad to see that you installed a fuel shutoff valve in the fuel line - this is so important on any mower that has the fuel tank above the carburetor. I've lost track of the number of these engines on which I have seen both the needle valve in the carburetor, as well as the anti-backfire fuel cutoff valve at the bottom of the bowl, both leak ever so slightly, which can result in the cylinder filling up with fuel which then leaks past the rings into the oil. I had two neighbors who both lost engines due to this.
Oh, also I would suggest transferring over the engine air intake shroud which helps keep the engine from recirculating hot underhood air, from the dead engine. I'd sell it for at least $650.
Hell yea! That's how you do it! Junkyard wars!👍😎
I really enjoyed this video. She looks like new.
Great video of making the mower Great again
What a way to spend your vacation!
6.50, "Have somebody help you."
"ME, I'll help!"
"No, me!"
"ME!"
(Fight ensues)
Very satisfying to watch.
That's the same way i clean the bottom of my mower decks. Works great
You're awesome....great mechanic! Or Chicanic.
Looks like the shop cat is allowing you to work at his/ her shop.
Wow Bree! Did you actually think that it wouldn’t start? You just made garbage into money. You’re an awesome mechanic.
Looks like my back yard.
Enjoy these videos, for sure ! 👍🙂
Awesome job young lady!!
You can't find such treasures in Belgium....Happy New Year! I love these videos
Can’t find in Texas eather
WOW!
19:55...somebody jumped out some switches. LOL Nice job.
Nope. LOL! It will start as long as the parking brake is engaged. Thanks for watching!
@@Chickanic That's kool. My new tractor is scary with its active safety. No "gas pedal", just a brake/shift pedal. You have to press the pedal to stop. I'd much rather the passive safety of stopping when I release the gas pedal of my old LT2000. If you get bounced around on my new one you may not be able to hit the brake. Funny thing...I never tore my LT2000 apart until I gave it away at 8 yrs old. Then we rebuilt it including mandrel bearings.
@@Icehso140 I don't know of any garden tractor that can't be started or left running with the PTO disengaged, in park, with nobody in the seat. With modern tractors there is no reason to eliminate or bypass safety switches, I think they all allow cutting in reverse, though none cut particularly well traveling in reverse. I prefer the single pedal tractors over those with a throttle pedal, with the single pedal and drive selector lever it's easier to set the travel speed and brake as needed, or just pull back slightly on the lever, with the throttle pedal you have to try and hold it just right while jostling over bumps, the cruise control feature is useless because it cancels when braking. The single pedal tractors are more like a farm tractor to drive. My old craftsman DYT 4000 had the single pedal with infinite drive selector lever and was a much more comfortable tractor to operate than the throttle pedal equipped craftsman T7800 pro series that replaced it. Other than the DYT 4000 having a Briggs and Scrapiron engine it was superior in all ways to the t7800, it had the drive selector lever, electric PTO, a 5 gallon fuel tank, 10" wide rear tires, steered better and had a 6" max cut. The t7800 pro series has the god awful throttle pedal, cable PTO, a 2.5 gallon fuel tank, 8" wide rear tires, steers hard( tore a rotator cuff), AND only has a 4.5" max cut. The 4.5" max cut is unforgivable, unless you have a dead flat, perfectly sodded yard you scalp the lawn with every cut. Especially since you can't set deck wheel height to prevent it.
Great video and great job on that tractor.
I like seeing equipment turned around like that.
I was an auto detailer for 40 years so I certainly do appreciate seeing a second life breathed into things.
Please keep the videos coming
As is $800, with a warranty, $1100. Looks great, job well done.
Great video! Love watching a true craftswoman troubleshoot these cantankerous 2-strokes.
Also enjoyed seeing your four-legged sidekick, Kittanic.
Keep up the good work!
Around here in Lexington, SC. it would sell for $750-$850
That was really fun. Thank you.
Chickanic: One of my favorite, the act of Cannibalizing. Now, we don't usually put the mowing deck back on, an just use them as towing tugs in the wood yard. So Happy New Year to you & your partner, catch you on the next one!
One less mower in landfill. Such a rewarding project.
i got a cub cadet 1525 and it had never been pressure washed the oil and grease was built up so high around the oil filter it was super thick but my pressure washer cut through all of it and looks brand new again it awesome how a pressure washer can make a nasty mower look brand new again
5:59 😂😂😂😆😆😆 NEVER have I had a pulley drop down when the bolt was removed, I've always had to beat or cut them off
Nice job Ray looks good
Great result Bre! That’s the best thing about the AYP tractors. You generally have another similar one lying about to steal some bits of them 😂💪🏼
Looks great, excellent job.
You are awesome I do this type of work myself I find it very rewarding
started rite up n sounds great !!!!! man that looks great !! wont last long
Its amazing what a little high-pressure water can do.
Easy $1,000 especially once spring gets here
Great video. Thanks for the detail.
Dang fine job there young Lady!
Love your content I really enjoy when you turn broken lawn equipment back into treasure keep bring them and I will definitely keep watching.

Enjoyable - makes me want to go out and work on my junk. In my area, N Texas, $500-600 would sell in a day.
Love watching you repair things girl.
Great job hun, ❤
Cool! Great fix! 👍🏻👍🏻
I go to the pawn shop! You can pick up sets of wrenches sockets whatever you need for pennies on the dollar
I'm loving this new shop trash series, looking forward to what else you've got lined up!

That turned out amazing. I really like the content you are releasing. Keep up the good work
Amazing transformation!!! I hope you do more junkyard revival videos, they inspire me to do more with my junk pile, LOL!
I love watching you in your videos. You know what you are talking about and are good with your communication skills as well as your hands. You represent your gender in an outstanding manner. I know it's kinda off limits to some to even think about mentioning gender but I am a man who recently heard his girlfriend say with a completely straight face, "don't hurt yourself, I just did my nails".
That is awesome. I swapped an engine off of my 20 year old mower to a newer mower with a bent crank
Man I like that sharping rig there❤❤❤❤
