air fryer not working

- you can see the unit turns on but that the fan doesn't work. we turn it on, let it run for a bit, showing the fan not working. then we turn it off showing the fan not running during the cool down cycle.
If anyone has this issue, first use ya hand to spin the lower fan as is and see if it moves freely. It might be grating against the cooking chamber roof and that stops it spinning freely. If that's not the issue, disassemble the fryer and check the upper fan is not obstructed either.
Then check the power printed circuit board and the specific connecter into which the fan motor wire connects. Remove and plug it back in (could be loose fan motor wire connection). Also check the solder joint holding this connector to the actual pcb (where it sits on the PCB).
Then use multimeter to check the connector on the PCB has voltage when the fryer is turned on. To do this, you put the positive multimeter lead on the fan motor connector and the negative lead on ground (you will see it marked on the fan motor or PCB as 'GND').
If there is voltage (it should be about 5 volts), check the fan motor itself is not faulty.
I know a lot about air fryers. Repaired many more than I seen reproductive organs of the opposite sex... Hahahaha😂😂😂
I have the same problems fan not working but everything else is working.
It will be the Thermal fuse. Its by the motor. Lots on youtube "how too fix it" good luck 👍🇬🇧
Thats for the Fan.
If it will not start check micro switch for the pan. 👍
Thank you. It works successfully!
Thanks a lot for this video I just fixed mine back to cooking.
I have the same problem. How did you fix it?
@@krooldude1970 You may not be putting the basket in correctly so angle the basket up a little when you're putting it in
Yep! I have the 6-qt and the fan stopped spinning as well.
Cheers mate your a star merry christmas
Did you find out what the problem was or exchange it? I have the same problem.
Good thing i got an air fryer oven that has its fan spinning and the fan wobbles a bit.
Mines heating up too but the fan not working what can I do
Try tightening the fan, mine was loose !!
this is the solution! thank you Kyla!
How do you tighten it?
@@jacquietran3349 remove the basket and then once the basket is out you can see the fan above. There is a nut that holds the fan in place and you can tighten using a socket wrench. Just make sure to use something to keep the fan from spinning while you are tightening the nut.
Same thing watched video , tight end up fan works great
I tightened the fan it still isn't spinning.
how you fixed this, Please tell me
My problem was the unit not turning on at all. I found that the "knob" under the basket wasn't making contact; I'll have to put something in it for connection, but I'm happy!
hi how did you do this? mine is not turning on:( Thanks
@@joeychanco we rolled a small piece of parchment paper and wedged it in the front slot; if your machine is plugged in, the power light should come on. You can experiment with the switch in the front of the base, but it works like a charm! (If you need a pic or anything else, please let me know)
@@jimr2807 Great will work on this thank you
@@jimr2807 I may have to do parchment paper instead of paper towel. Either way work but paper towel sounds like a fire hazard. Thanks
My problem is the fan work but the heat not working stay cold
