Out of all songs in the new album i would never expect this one didn't hit you, in fact this song is the one who like the most among metalheads and expert musicians because of the high level of technical execution, the perfect blend with SuMetal vocals, that blasting pyrotechnic breakdown and similarities with songs from bands like Periphery, not to mention the cryptic lyrics and meaning behind, the other girls sing too but here it's mostly a backing track, so It's really rare your thoughts on this. It's also one out of three songs they've been rotating in the recent Babyklok Tour in the US because fans like it so much, anyway. Have a nice day.🦊🤘🪞

Mirror Mirror is one of my favorites, I instantly dig it remembering the first time I heard. MAYBE I'M FOR THE CHAOS lol, jokes aside METALIZM, Believing, Metal Kingdom & Divine Attack I feel I like them more than Mirror Mirror even if I dig it. Maya would be actually one of my least favorites from the album because it's more repetitive/simple imo but I still enjoy the live version a lot and Anthony smashing the drums is sick.
I like this one a lot, and I am surprised he did not enjoy it, but to each their own of course. If this was chaos, better not show him Tales of the Destinies! 🤣 I guess you couldn't call that repetitive at least.

Good honest reaction. This song has a lot of Prog Metal elements and the chaos is not only deliberate, it is actually very structured and not chaos at all.
If you had the lyrics you would find it talks about the duality of being, looking into the mirror are you only seeing a reflection or is what you see the real you and is the world in the mirror the real world rather than the world you experience this side of the mirror? (Something like that anyway).
Some of Su's lyrics (channeling Snow White's step mother perhaps?):
"Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?" but the next time she sang that
"Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the worst of them all?"
As you saw, this was compilation from two shows - Black Night was April 1st, the third girl (Momoko) was not yet an official member and did not have a mic.
Clear Night was April 2nd - they had new, shinier costumes and Momoko had been revealed as the new third member, so she was mic'ed up.
Su-metal is lead vocalist, she does the bulk of the vocals, but Moametal and now Momometal as well do the backing vocals, chants and so on - in this song quoting Shakespeare's witches from MacBeth with the "Hubble bubble toil and trouble. Fire burn and cauldron bubble."
In 'PA PA YA' Moa was doing similar with some responses to Su's lead.
BABYMETAL are very diverse, no two songs are the same, they have songs in virtually every metal genre (including some Prog in this one for example) and they will mix and blend so many other musical styles and genres with the metal ... for me there is not one song they've done that I don't like (a couple did have to grow on me admittedly), but it stands to reason that not every song will appeal to you.
So this one didn't light your candle - try another and the chances are you will love it.
I'm interested to see what he would think of Syncopation or KARATE, YAVA! Would be interesting as well I guess

This is a pretty proggy song and progmetal is definitely not for everyone so you don't feeling it is not that surprising. Also kind of funny that you thought this was too repetitive while PAPAYA is WAAAAAY more repetitive than this song:D
No two BABYMETAL songs are the same. The one constant, they are never boring. I like honest reactors. I might be one of the few who likes all BABYMETAL’s performances. But it is true that Su-Metal possess my musical soul. 🦊 🖖❤

I get the point, repeatitive and chaotic, although I still enjoy it a lot. But it's one of their experimentations anyway, and that whole album was a lot different from their earlier materials
Mirror Mirror wasn't my favorite the first time I heard it, but it grew on me over time.
You should check out Megitsune, it's a fan favorite and a good illustration of what BABYMETAL is about.
I love that prog feel interspersed with the heavenly Japanese sections inbetween personally. I'm a little surprised it didn't grab you - but there's a LOT of variety out there from them. Maybe you've not really listened to much prog rock before - and honestly - it wasn't "repeated" - they very rarely repeat anything the same - even if it sounded similar. Good reaction anyway - I have a few of their tracks I don't like myself (mostly from metal galaxy album). If you continue to watch BM you will have to put up with constant breakdowns and changes in songs though :)

Interesting, I can see what you mean this song is indeed more chaotic, but you're also right about the lyrics tho the song has a reason for being chaotic please don't think it was just noise but I get what you said about the genres, it's not the first time they mix progressive Metal, metalcore etc it can be distracting and also there is some people that don't like when they do heavy progressive stuff like their other song Tales of the Destinies really old song so not surprised you didn't dig this one that much being honest. Personally I dig this song but understand why you and others didn't for certain parts. Please continue reacting to more BABYMETAL! it's interesting to hear your elaborated thoughts 😁🦊🤘
Just to clear your doubts, the other two dancers MOMO & MOA they sing but generally fewer lines than SU as they dance a lot more, also MOMO was a new added member so she didn't had a mic at that time for the concert, only MOA. Also don't pay attention to comments such as @babymetaldesu_br lol, you're giving a fair critic/thought Idk why some people start to think you're disliking everything just because you didn't dig it much.
Only a Babymetal song could elicit the description of too chaotic and too repetitive, lol. I’m not much of a prog metal fan but I liked the transition between prog, thrash and pop with a breakdown thrown in for good measure. An entire album with several songs structured like this would be exhausting, but I think it’s fun as a stand alone. The odd mixture is understandably not for everyone, but that’s what makes Babymetal so polarizing.
I really love the new album. The girls have come along way and it's great to see them constantly evolving. They were so amazing live!!
Su was chosen specifically to front a metal band. Her voice was unusually loud and powerful for the Pop genre and it was this trait that attracted her to KobaMetal who was a metal head and was looking for someone to front his jpop idol fusion band. To m truly appreciate her voice you should check out her solos 😁
Babymetal is metal. I don't think you like that much, because this is one of the best songs on the new album! 🤗 I can already see that he won't like others either, so I won't come back here anymore.

No. He obviously doesn't like prog type metal. I personally think this is the worst song on the album. So every fan will be different. He loved the other songs so far by BABYMETAL. I assume the only other one he won't like is ToTD.

I figured Meatloaf was right, "2 out of 3 ain't bad"... but I guess not. I think some people would rather have me put on a happy face and just praise their favorite artists instead of giving an honest reaction. But, we can't have that. I can 100% see the allure of BM and I loved the first two songs I heard. This one just didn't hit me... which surprisingly seems to be a common theme even among BM fans.
I would be interested to see what you make of some of their earlier stuff. I think they're great now, but old Babymetal from about late 2013 to 2016 just can't be beat if you ask me. A couple great performances to check out from those days would be Headbanger live at Legend 1997 (in 2013, not 1997 😄) or Ijime Dame Zettai live at Sonisphere 2014.
Since we know his opinion on Mirror Mirror, he should clearly react to Tales of the Destinies.

Ok guys, roscoe made a fair explanation with good facts and managed to go into detail at how Roscoe feels about some passages of the song. Remember, as also mentioned at the end of the video, not everything you see has to blow your mind away or you must have to hop on a hype train. Instrumentally this song for example doesnt hit me at all as papaya or catch me if you can, just like roscoe said. Yet lyrics wise its very my style and some ppl also do differentiate between these two things. So obviously bc of the music this song is not often running on my ears, but the lyrics are still awesome and i hold it very dear. Remember, when you're on a reaction channel, to respect the reaction and opinion of each other and be open about different view points. Dont go into full stubborn mode with crossed arms, be open about a persons legitimate explanation even if you do not agree with it. compromise is the keyword here. I'll dfntly continue to come around for some BBM reactions! c: exchanging opinions while respecting each other is what can make a conversation and relationship.
🦊👍 yeah honestly we as fans get sensitive because of expectation, we need to realize not everyone will like every BABYMETAL song lol that's very unrealistic, we are teens/adults it's time to get over being sensitive to normals critics, he is a very respectful reactor and that's what really matters.

I think your explanation is the closest to how I felt about this song the first time I heard it. It’s too much chaos but I like the intro and I love that build up to the silent break it’s the space in between that needs something. You look at Light and Darkness and how well that song seems to be put together and this one seems all over the place but maybe that was the idea, a bit of chaos.

It’s interesting, to me this sounds nothing like chaos - but then I came to metal through prog, so that has strongly influenced how I listen to music
As others here have mentioned, Babymetal cover a large spectrum of genres and styles, so some songs will take longer to get used to than others, and then there’s a chance not all will hit the mark for you - and that’s perfectly fine! I think a lot of people will appreciate you being candid about it, and do it in a way that is still respectful to the artist anyway 😊
This song for me, is easily in their top 5 songs. I am crazy about this song! The music is captivating, the singing is great, and the heavy breakdown is awesome! Abousltley is one of my favourite Babymetal songs!
You should go back to where it all started and react to Doki Doki Morning.

Kind of wish you would stick to their early stuff and work your way to the new, but I guess that is the requestor's fault. I feel the same about this song. Dig some and then not so much in other parts. BUT that's because I don't like prog metal it seems. Very Happy BABYMETAL doesn't dip their toes into it much. 🤘🦊🤘
To understand BABYMETAL and the music they are making today, you need to go back to the beginning.

honestly the best thing about them getting older is that the over sexualitsation of 10-12 year old girls in the start like they always do in japan was extremly creepy for me as a western listener xD and now they are over 20 so the sexualisation is fine xD

Most of BABYMETAL songs in this concept album have been very different from the other album. Most of the BABYMETAL Fanbase (The One) has mixed feeling with regard to this particular album. As for me BABYMEYAL Is BANYMETAL. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘🇯🇵😁#notacult.
No they aren't. I can put direct parallels to everything on the fourth album to the previous three albums. There is nothing radically different on it. Also, no most of the fanbase doesn't have mixed feelings on the album.

Hm, I don't get all of your reasoning. You say you'd like it to get into a break and then a different rhythm after Su "mirror", but at 7:44 that it's exactly what it does. Don't get me wrong, if you say that you don't like it, I believe you, but I can't follow. :-) But that's fine, there's a whole lot of different BABYMETAL songs, there are probably others you'd like more.
How about giving an older one a try? "Megitsune" is one that almost everybody likes. And it's one of the few where I would recommend the official music video over a live show (and a live show after that :-) ).
The two younger girls are mainly dancers, but they do backing vocals to some extent for most of the songs. Part of their job is to lead the crowd through their parts, as you have seen with Pa Pa Ya. "Headbanger" is another pretty good example of that.
Or you might want to try out the Metal version of Monochrome?
I really love the modern and progressive elements. But to be honest, no matter how much I try to explain why I like it, at the end of the day I just love it.
The first time I listened to it made me tear up. I don't even speak Japanese, but I can pick up a few words here and there. From all of the songs in the album, this one is the one that makes me emotional every. single. time.
It just resonates with me deeply and hits me right in the feelings.

Good reaction! As others mentioned, Babymetal is never afraid to experiment and try something new. Their music is so different too compared to one another. I'm sure you're bound to love some and dislike others. I think it would be good for you to check out some of their older stuff too! Road of Resistance would be a great choice. Or, Akatsuki (Budokan 2014) for an awesome Su-metal Solo.

So I don't really think Babymetal is for you. This song is very much in the vein of Periphery or Tesseract. Just not your thing I guess. To your questions: the "other two" really don't sing much as far as lead vocals. Su is the primary vocal and in general the focus of Babymetal. The fan base is called the One, your chat people mostly don't know what they are talking about. Mirror Mirror is not part of a series. Monochrome was the name of the song not anything else. This song has been generally very well received but it is fine if you don't like it.
Saying babymetal is not for him just because he did not like one song is pretty ridiculous considering how different all babymetal songs are from eachother.
He liked 2 BABYMETAL songs and was very crazy about it, he was impressed. Don't say that because this is not true at all. When I first learned about BABYMETAL I also thought it may wasn't gonna be for me, it took 4-5, maybe 6 songs to finally get what BABYMETAL was about.

You react to more Babymetal. Then you will see that that they have a wide range of styles. And preferably live videos. These are the best.
Prog metal is not for everyone. Like fusion jazz the Chaos has a rhyme and a reason. Once you catch it you may love the complexity but alas some just do not catch the beauty in the intricacies of prog.

moa the other remaining "original" member as well as the new member are both from teh same singing school. they are all amazing.
they have a song named "headbanger" and on her 21st birthday concert, moa did sing the song instead of su and oh my god ... her voice is like an angel xD and she looks SOOO happy singing xD honestly u have not seen a person smile that much expect maybe when moa sees something to eat xD jaeh when she sees something to eat or looks at su then she smiles the same way xD
also when they were like 15 or something moa and yui did some coversongs on their own which were pretty funny xD

Believe me, it took me some time to like the song, I love the beginning and pre-chorus but the chorus was a no for me but right now I really enjoy the song. Anyway today they just upload the Live Video of MAYA, one of the new song and by far, one of the favorites in the fandom so it would be cool if you react to the song. Thank you for the reaction.

Well Roscoe, from this *Spud*🥔 sitting in the **_Peanut Gallery_** 🥜 I *got no flavor* 🤣 from this Mirrrrorrrrrrrr. Sorry. Either have mind altering flashing lights and images with head banging vocals or remove the flashing theme and focus on more ear-catching vocals. I did like the guitar though. To be fair, I'll go and listen to some of their other songs, after all not every release appeals to the masses 100% of the time
Too chaotic? Wow. Well then we won’t be introducing you to Hanabie, the band BABYMETAL wanted to be. 😂😂😂 BABYMETAL is performance art and you get what you get depending on which talent is on the back end of any given track they release. Some are god awful, like most of the third album, but some are utterly inspired, like most of the fourth album “The Other One” which this track is from.
I like this track actually, I think it’s pretty well constructed for modern metal. It’s not prog rock. It has pop elements. It makes my ears happy, but not as happy as Hanabie. 😜

You do know that Babymetal was here much sooner than Hanabie, right? Ironically Hanabie is the one who is trying to sound like old Babymetal and they are not very good at it imo.
"god awful"? Pretty strong statement there. There are many good songs on Metal Galaxy (Starlight, Shine, Arkadia, Brand New Day, etc.). Hanabie is great but Babymetal was on the top of the charts before Hanabie was even a concept.
First time I have seen Hanabie fan who is this delusional. Usually it's band-maid fans who act like this.

BABYMETAL are exactly who they want to be and are doing exactly what they want to do. Hanabie aspire to follow their lead and good on them for trying and for putting their own twist on it, but for me Hanabie's cute bits are too cute and I really don't like the growling/screaming, it just sounds like they're trying too hard.
