To make you feel better, after her Death she gets to start again this time with her full memories intact. She never Ends she just loops around forever.
@@AlbertoMartinez765doesn’t she only loop back and forth through the “divine gaps” with built up consciousness? So she only experienced that one last moment, as a child, with clarity.
@@AlbertoMartinez765 She did die tho ... the part at the end where she was young was just another missplaced fragment that she lived after she lived her death ... she can not relieve , she lives everything only once , but not chronoligacally. That means that after she lives the last remaining short , missplaced fragments , it will be her end 🥺
someone said the death tarot card also means rebirth yall she went back to her beginning to experience her life without gaps and renewed confidence in herself (im trying to cope really hard 😭)
You're right. Lilia is essentially immortal in a really unique way. Being able to just bounce around to whatever time of your life causes you to never really "die". The magic verse of marvel is way more interesting and powerful
I love Jen in this episode. She's not the focus, but the way she cares for and looks after Lilia as her mental faculties decline towards the end of her life is so heart warming. Her true healer self shining through.
Jen and Lilia were definitely the heart of the episode for me AND it shows how much witches NEED a coven. Lilia separates herself from her craft, Jen becomes cold and separate from her magick, Alice loses everything she touches but the moment they accept their coven, Lilia finally SEES, Jen becomes in touch with her magick again and Alice defeats her family’s curse and protects her new family using her magick. They thrive with other witches, their magick feeds each other
Good to see someone talking about this, the energy came from Lilia's hand to the card, meaning this was her own Power. Imagine how powerfull she must be to alter gravity just using one of the tarot card. What about the other cards? What could she do?
This episode is a perfect example of how a well written character death that leads to closure for the character can be both bitter sweet but fulfilling for the audience. I also love how she finally finds her place, saves her coven and ends up reliving one of her happiest memories. This episode is perfect
"Time flies when you're having fun" spookily accurate words right before starting the episode. I love that (apart from the very last scene) you can almost seamlessly loop this episode on the shot of her falling. Except that in the first version, she looks shocked, and in the last version, she almost looks happy.
I love how they sprinkled Lilia’s trial reading throughout the episodes and how Patti LuPone brought so much heart and talent to the role that this was one of the most emotional moments in the MCU and there have been A LOT. These episodes just keep getting better and better, can’t wait to see the last two episodes and how this all ends.
"You want straight answers? Ask a straight lady!" And "What can I say I like the bad boys" are top quotes but I was sobbing in bed this morning before work at "I loved being a witch " paired with Jen's anguished no.
Saw a beautiful lil thought that Lilia may have died but the ending implies she now knows her whole life and since she experiences time differently she can maybe relive her time with complete clarity now and thats beautiful if so.
I don't think so ... Lilia mentioned earlier that her experiencing the flow of time differently used to happen a lot more often while she was young . The ending was showing young Lilia after she experienced all the events of the witches road, her heroic death, saving her coven ,and her purpose in life ( that's why she smiled , she felt at peace with herself ) . However , like it always happened , she forgot it all not much later , and since she mentioned that later during her life she forcefully stopped her ability , that confirms its not possible that she lived her life knowing about her end ...
She can only experience the flow of time differently / in fragments randomly put togheter rather than in chronoligical order . But she still only lives every moment once , she can not relieve something that she already lived / saw .
@@Stefan-oj6oz Correct. Only thing left for Lilia to experience is the last of the gaps. She'll experience those gaps with the knowledge of what happened to her on the witches road and her death. The very last scene of her as a little girl was one of the gaps. We don't know how much of them she has left. she may have years worth of gaps left but once she experiences them, it's over for her.
This was definitely the best episode so far in this mini-series, and Patti really got to shine in this one. The subtle tones she can add via a turn of facial expression or pitch of voice, etc, really is the tell-tale mark of a seasoned performer.
What an episode! It was beautiful visually. And so deep emotionally. A woman forgotten, by HERSELF! Lesson there! The depth of the acting. Sisters in the craft. We've fallen in love with these characters in such a short time.
Your reactions are so genuine and heartfelt, you really feel for the characters and are so watchable. LuPone is an icon for a reason. This is a great piece of television. My head-canon is that Agatha and Billy will get to the end of the road and somehow resurrect everyone and all live happily, if chaotically, ever after and have six seasons and a movie. But I'm guessing that's not happening.
I have been waiting the whole show for the Lilia episode. I was not prepared for how much Patti just made me sob with this episode. Hoo boy, she got me good. And I now so adore the love that you have shown her as well, Jess.
28:44 Another point for me (because people still miss it) is Lilia is the contrast to Agatha. Grief, disappointment, dealt with betrayal and loss and pain and it shaped the masks they then chose to wear or actions they took as a response. Lilia felt like a fraud for failing to be able to use her gifts and became a hermit. Agatha put on a mask of pretending to be wicked in response to people TREATING her like she was from the very beginning; except she will occasionally drop the facade and show she cares and wants to help. Yet, when she's disappointed or someone doesn't cooperate, she's combative and clumsy and awkward and then the mask comes back up. That's why 3 of Swords isn't just one Lilia's journey cards, it's represents Agatha's real self. Even in real life, people just already have it in their heads to treat her as a villain when she's not and when you treat people that way, you often just create one.
You might be right. The only ones that come close to me are WandaVision 1x05 and Loki 1x06. I also like Falcon & Winter Solider 1x04 quite a bit. But as a self contained story about a character who might have no effect on the larger MCU this one stands above the rest. All those other episodes have things which come after them which lessen their impact. I can’t imagine that happening here.
Patti Lupone was just stellar !! Like the direction was brilliant way it shifts from scene to scene ! Man what burden constantly jumping your timeline knowing the end
This episode was beautiful. Her path was leading to her end, but as she accepted her faith and who she is and her powers, that is when she found relief and security, and saw the clarity to help save her new coven and find peace in knowing "what lies at the end of the road". I have been watching other people's reactions and you're the first to match my emotional state when I watched. I am absorbing and re-living through you, Madam.
The way I see it, Death has her bodies now from the Salem Seven. This show has tons of themes with reincarnation and time. I don't think anyone is truly gone yet because of these themes, even if they do die. There's totally a world where Lilia fell in the right spot where swords had fallen to make a gap, or has her fall padded by landing on one of the Salem witches. What I wanna know is, Why is Jen the path forward when she already had her trial?
I am hoping that Jen is the way forward because as the High Priestess, she is destined to survive and to take a key role in mentoring or leading magical folks in future Marvel projects.
Death comes for us all. That term takes on new meaning after this. Lilia said she warned her first coven about them all dying of a fever, and they did nothing to change it. If that is so, if they were all seers like hers, maybe they experienced their lives in the same way, so they would not have been afraid, they did things in their lives, and would not change that, and now at her own end Lilia understood and accepted, such a good show.

The scene where Lilia and her Maestra talks about warning her coven that they die through a fever but nothing changed because the Maestra knew at that moment she and her coven must die in order for Lilia to finally understand her gift. Because she 'visits' centuries later with this prophecy.

I’ve gotten nothing done at work all day because I’ve not been able to stop thinking about this episode. No matter the series, no matter the movie, Marvel will never be able to top this episode. It was the best thing they will ever do.
No better training ground for being able to follow episodes like this than Moffat and yet instead of Doctor Who you reference Supernatural. Love it. Poor Julian’s wig, it doesn’t know what’s coming for it.
Wizard of This oz reference at the end. Lilia says to Agatha "When she calls you a coward, hit the deck" Lilia gives Agatha courage as coward is opposite to courage. Lilia gives TEEN his book which represents knowledge. Jen shows concern for Lilia "I am not going without you" because Lilia has given Jen a heart. Lion - Courage Tinman -knowlege Scarecrow - Heart
I'm so glad you kept in the interaction with Billy and Agatha at the beginning, so many reactors cut it out but it's so important because it really shows how Agatha has managed to completely destroy Billy's trust that he'd had before.
She lost her original coven a long time ago, but from her point of view it also just happened. Also I *love* watching your reactions. You’re so genuine!
This episode is the first time anything Marvel has blown me away in a good length of time. A fantastically written episode and a great tour de force for Patti

I loved this episode so much. What is it with the MCU and their most heartbreaking stories being their best ones? Gosh this episode was brilliantly written.
You were outwardly showcasing how I felt inside the whole episode. It was crushing knowing what was coming from the get-go but so cathartic to see Lilia go out like a boss. I PRAY she can come back with Alice by the end but if not, this was a fantastic sendoff. But also notice, only 5 of the 7 were impaled. The Wolf and The Owl are still out on the road somewhere...
As soon as I saw the episode, I knew that when you uploaded your reaction you would be crying right there with me. Also I know that its VERY different but the time jumping and living out of order almost gave me River Song vibes
First fantastic reaction and I saw someone post a theory that deviation witches lives are a time loop while their physical body dies their mind and spirits don't because at the end where her teacher says lets begin and talks to Lila. They keep going through their life but never really dying basically their whole life being a time loop that they keep reliving multiple times

Lion - Courage
Tinman -knowlege
Scarecrow - Heart
The Tinman was looking for a heart, not knowledge.
I love that William/Billy is not suffering Agatha’s crap anymore.
i cried so much after the last scene especially when the song "Time In A Bottle" starts playing💔
We lost a sister again 😭💔
OH LILIA THE WOMAN THAT U ARE!!!
This episode is the first time anything Marvel has blown me away in a good length of time. A fantastically written episode and a great tour de force for Patti
I really hate it that she said i love you all guys during the trial but it happened in the past and they didn’t know that she said that, this makes me cry 😭

Death’s hand in mine, definitely the best episode so far
Did you notice the song at the end is the same as the one the Xmen used for quicksilver in one of their movies?
I actually thought of you during the 30 or so minutes of sobbing this episode sent me into.
"Oh no!" I thought, "Her poor eyeliner"
No shade intended!
It's because we all know how huge your heart is.
I loved this episode so much. What is it with the MCU and their most heartbreaking stories being their best ones? Gosh this episode was brilliantly written.
She took the Salem 7 with her.
I think the other two flew away 😢 but Lilia taking down five of them will be forever iconic 😭👑💖✨
@@fierymoth4330 I hope she comes back
You were outwardly showcasing how I felt inside the whole episode.
I don’t usually watch post reaction analysis that much, but you are so charming and articulate. ❤
