Rod Roddy, the announcer of this Test Week was already announcing Press Your Luck for CBS with Peter Tomarken as well as Love Connection with Chuck Woolery during this time frame.
Some of that crew worked the original Newlywed Game at that same studio in the early 70’s. Eubanks couldn’t host this because he was doing Dream House for NBC at the time.
This was originally from the week of February 2/13-2/17/1984. This is from a GSN airing around 2000 or 2001. This was originally on ABC daytime, it was a test week to see if a new version of Newlywed Game might be viable for daytime. Jim Lange hosted this week of shows because Bob Eubanks could not as he was hosting Dream House on NBC at the time. This show with a similar set and the same theme music did turn up in first-run syndication with Eubanks hosting and Bob Hilton announcing in Fall 1985, and ran for four years(Paul Rodriguez took over the show for its final six months of first run)
@@joyceanthony9526 I turned 18 yrs old, the population of LA was only 4 million and the Summer Olympics were held there. We are now living George Orwell's "1984" with a boot on our neck, communism. I hope you are still "Happily Married". ❤️❤️
Both my husband and I know which way is north but because of the layout of our house, we'd have a 1 in 4 chance of getting it right. Anyone in a ranch that runs east and west would have a tough time picking from any number of rooms that are equally close to Canada.
My parents are the winners of this episode
