In the fall my husband allowed the vet to give our two chihuahuas lyme vaccine, one got so sick i thought we were going to lose her, the vet no appointments available to bring her back, when ended up taking her miles away to an emergency vet who treated her, she improved but never came back to normal, she never liked to crawl under blankets or lay around, now she is always cold and sleeps all the time. I wish i had come across your videos earlier. I did follow one of your recipes for home made dog food, they love it. We have since added a abandoned golden retriever we found in a very dangerous location, have posted her on every lost pwt site we could, took her to groomers and vets, even petco. One groomer said they believe she is the same dog that keeps getting dumped. She is now safe and very happy and spoiled. I share your videos to make others aware. Thank you!

Stop poisoning them. Feed them how they're supposed to eat in the wild. Raw food. Stop the vets and all that. The ticks and fleas look for low immune systems which is shots, antibiotics, poisoned food or treats. Smell the treats, you should be able to smell the chemicals and toxic stuff. Get rid of all that. Feed raw food only. Your chihuahua or whatever the dog is that got that shot that sleeps all the time. Feed raw, no antibiotics or growth hormones grass fed beef, chicken, etc..... Stay away from corn 🌽 this and corn 🌽 that 🐈. Their immune systems will get strong, use a plant based soap to wash your dog, get rid of all chemicals. I made mistakes with my former daschund who died a day under a month under 15. The last shot for Lyme was may of 2015. I stopped the vet, changed his diet, and how I care for him. He had brittle nails before the change after the change, his nails got strong, grew thick, and were super smooth, and no ticks or fleas from 2017 to 2021 on December 14th when he passed. Raw pumpkin 🎃 seeds 😋 are a natural de-wormer. Learn and Stop trusting the TV 📺. Any help, just get a hold of me, or this lady in this video. This is the first time I seen this lady. Garlic like she said internally does help when their immune systems are low. 6 weeks before flea and tick season it takes for garlic to work. They don't like garlic the ticks and fleas. It's so much garlic per lb of your dog just once a day. Lemon 🍋 juice or orange 🍊 🤔 juice sprayed on them before they go out helps also.

The kind of chicken to get is Gerbers Amish Chicken, which is supposed to be safe and clean, even though raised by the Amish. They get processed at a plant in Ohio. Thinking about what this lady is saying about what they're doing to the chickens it's hard to say who we can trust. The bottom of the package 📦 of the Gerbers chicken always have a biblical saying underneath tge packaging 📦 😀

If I sent a tick in every time my dogs had a tick, it would be at least 3 times per week. They are 15 and almost 16, been bit by many ticks over the years and still thriving. I do not use flea and tick chemicals.

I stopped using chemicals about 4-5 years ago after realizing the terrible skin issues my GSD had every spring-fall when using them. I was using the Seresto collar. The vet, even a derm vet, said he had food and environmental allergies. I finally took it off early into summer because he was so itchy anf miserable, and everything cleared up (bad yeast from constant licking and he was tearing his paw pads off his feet and constant itching). My vet doesnt believe it was the collar of course. I now use neem oil on his collar with rose geranium, and use natural.sprays, and use a natural collar with essential oils. I do get screening every year and my dogs have always been negative. I live in MN and we have our fair share of ticks, but I've only pulled a handful in total and weve never had fleas. I won't use chemicals ever moving forward as a preventative. I've also witnessed first hand the terrible side effects of vaccines, specifically the lepto one. I'm not against all vaccines, but I do believe animals and people are way over vaccinated.

I went to an old timer vet in PA. What he told me about going to a conference for vetenarians. He told me he got up and walked out because all the were teaching or telling them was how to make more money. Never about teachings and up dating on new procedures, ect. He was disgusted with them. We also talked about the knee surgery my girl had and I told him I paid $5000.00 up front and he said he would have charged $1800.00…if that. And that price is ridiculous. I only wish I had gone to him first.

I am someone who was made extremely ill by a tick. I was diagnosed with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. That being said, I am much more terrified of chemical pesticides than I am of my dogs getting a tick born illness. I just use tickless tags, wondercide, and feed garlic. My dog Tucker was 9 and told he tested positive for ehrlichiosis. The doctor told me to give him doxycycline but I chose not to because he had no symptoms. He is now 15 and never ever had a problem. Doxy helped with my symptoms when I was sick and is sometimes necessary, but it also has caused me lasting digestive problems so don't take use of it lightly.

I had my malinois at 6 month old from a shelter. Never gave a single vaccination, tick and flee product.
But i got pushed at the vet to get a dewormer 2x. Only went 3x to a vet.
My dog died horribly because of the vets injection with 3 or 4 ingredients. After my dog ate beans causing him all kind of things that night.
He developed after the antibiotics skin necrosis causing holes in his flesh, flesh falling of, red rashes.
The painkillers who he put also in the injection + anti fever caused mire damage.
    I hate, hate the vet.
I researched each medicarion given and I know what it all do.
As soon you get a vet, than it can go downhill.
Like in my case with doctors.
My dog had fever because the body knows what to do. Blocking the fever is not ok.
I asked for electrolites because he peed much and drank much to get better but he did not even understood what this word was!
I gave my dog fresh food. He was so healthy at 14 years old. Fit and full of life.😢
    I will never recover.
    Never.
All vets i called wanted him to put down, instead of helping to save him.
The vet gave so much painkillers i realized to late, he wanted to kill him behind my knowledge.
I will never trust vets again.
They are all about $$$ selling drugs and $$$ with euthanasia and so on.

In January of 2016 I took an apparently healthy dog to the vet just because he had started skipping a few meals, which wasn't like him. We had been in the woods in the previous few months, but never found any ticks on him... however, he was a long-haired black dog sooooo...
After a test the vet came in and said we needed to take him immediately to the emergency vet to start treatment for lyme nephritis.
24 hours later when we visited him at the vet he was super bloated from all the fluids they were pumping into him and so sick he could barely walk and wouldn't eat a thing!!!
3 weeks later he was dead and our hearts were completely broken!!!!!!!!! It still makes me cry just to to write his story here.
I wonder, to this day, if we killed him by taking him to the emergency vet. At the time, I thought since he wasn't really symptomatic (except for the mildly decreased appetite) that meant we were catching it really early and might have a better chance at beating the odds.
I'll never know the truth of that circumstance and it will haunt me forever.
But, it did lead me down the path of more holistic care for my fur family... and that lead to helping others take that step as well, so, for that, I'm grateful.

100% for certain, you are not fear-mongering! People are foolish and naive- use of chemicals, in whatever field, should be used with extreme caution, if at all. MINIMUM should be the approach but the opposite is encouraged, as you say.
Chemicals/'medicines' do not go near my pets or livestock. God has given plants/food for medicine- people and animals, end of story.
    Appreciate your straight approach.
It's because of people's foolishness and 'convenience' couldn't care a less that these devil businesses/corporations stay in business!!

We are layering; homemade dog wipes (they hate the spray), t-shirts, EM collars and the tick mitt. When our Golden got cancer, we didn’t give him any meds (heartworm) or vaccines. Except for the cancer, he was fine.

One of my dogs had a seizure 4 days later and died. They added the kennel cough shot, which I don't get for my dogs because I don't board them. So I don't know what in the shot caused his seizure. But I know it was whatever they gave him. He was only 18 months old.

Dr. Morgan, what is your opinion about heartworm prevention? I worry about the neurotoxins in those chemicals, but at the same time, the mosquito population where we live has increased exponentially due to the early summer heat and massive rains. I get mosquito bites even after dousing myself (not the fur baby) with 30% DEET.
For fur baby, I use Vet's Best spray on the outside of fur baby's harness. Recently, I started to spray fur baby with a 50% white vinegar solution just before walking.
We're so fearful, however, that we've stopped walking. Summer here lasts until Nov, and it's only May. Poor fur baby is sad that he's not sniffing his usual 2-3 miles of interesting sidewalks and grass.
    PLEASE ADVISE on heartworm, too.

Thanks so much for this. I am in Ontario Canada very high tick problem here. I have three dogs all fed real food and the best of everything for immune system. The eldest 14 year old lab has had no problem with Lyme but my other two a 10 year old lab and 7 year old Sheltie both on Thyroid meds as per Dr. Jan Dodds testing have had symptomatic lyme. I use spray on essential oils, lint roller and flea comb and check them constantly but still!!! I have to wonder could the thyroid issues be affecting their immune systems?

My rescued dog's vet will not let him get a needed dental unless the HW panel is done, gets all his vaccinations.
    He's 2 y/o.
    He's current on Rabies.
He had his other core vaccines during his first year.
Would you please discuss Cytopoint and Librela.
    Vet is recommending these.
My rescued dog has congenital / hereditary deformities, probably a former mill dog.
Librela was recommended for OA bone pain at $65 monthly.
That's out of budget for us, side effects are worrisome, and the concern about advancing joint damage because he doesn't feel pain with more activity are some reasons we didn't go that way.
He's currently getting Gabapentin 50mg twice daily for anxiety and nerve pain.
He came to me with resource guarding and fear aggression which have diminished greatly since being in our home but not at the Vet. He's still quite fearful and verbally aggressive when at the Vet.
My 14 y/o dog passed away abruptly with internal bleeding. Makes me wonder now...

Are your natural alternatives effective against all species of tick? Here in Australia we have the really nasty paralysis ticks. After the death of one of my cats and the very near death of another due to these ticks (he received anti-tick serum at the Emergency Vet) (he has not fully recovered and a year later he is still unable to vocalise properly), I have used Bravecto Plus. I also have a cat that was definitively diagnosed with heart worm about 4 years ago- he is still with us so I am assuming that he has outlived the heart worms (there is no safe treatment for cats). Are your natural alternatives also effective against mosquitoes? Thank you for all your invaluable information.

@@tanana2070 Mosquitoes come indoors so indoor cats are not necessarily safe from mosquitoes and potentially heartworm. My cats that were affected by paralysis ticks had access to our enclosed verandah. However, possums also managed to come onto the verandah to eat the cat food. The native wildlife (such as possums and bandicoots) are prime carriers of ticks but are immune to the ticks' neurotoxins. I believe that the possums had ticks on them and inadvertantly shed them. These ticks then climbed onto my cats. To substantiate my belief about possums' role in carrying ticks onto the verandah, I found a completely engorged tick (about 2cm big) on the verandah, that I took to my vet to positively identify as a paralysis tick. He confirmed it and said that it was ready to lay eggs.

Within 1 month my poor doggy was covered & miserable. I tried DE but didnt work. I put her on half doses of nexgard & stopped when winter rolled in. Now its spring but I have been giving her 1/4 tsp fresh garlic most days. So far, no fleas/ticks! Also I made the neem oil spray as well but I forget to spray her bandana. Only 20%?! Really? you’re saying don’t panic about a tick bite, but you’re specifically only focused on the pet. Peoples concern about bringing insects into their home. Who are carrying a myriad of different diseases. Especially ticks. Is a valid concern. And you’re just being so Kavalier about it it’s very difficult to take you seriously. and yes, I do have Lyme disease.
the United States, some ticks carry pathogens that can cause human disease, including:
Anaplasmosis is transmitted to humans by tick bites primarily from the blacklegged tick (Ixodes scapularis) in the northeastern and upper midwestern U.S. and the western blacklegged tick (Ixodes pacificus) along the Pacific coast.
Babesiosis is caused by microscopic parasites that infect red blood cells. Most human cases of babesiosis in the U.S. are caused by Babesia microti. Babesia microti is transmitted by the blacklegged tick (Ixodes scapularis) and is found primarily in the northeast and upper midwest.
Borrelia mayonii infection has recently been described as a cause of illness in the upper midwestern United States. It has been found in blacklegged ticks (Ixodes scapularis) in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Borrelia mayonii is a new species and is the only species besides B. burgdorferi known to cause Lyme disease in North America.
Borrelia miyamotoi infection has recently been described as a cause of illness in the U.S. It is transmitted by the blacklegged tick (Ixodes scapularis) and has a range similar to that of Lyme disease.
Bourbon virus infection has been identified in a limited number patients in the Midwest and southern United States. At this time, we do not know if the virus might be found in other areas of the United States.
Colorado tick fever is caused by a virus transmitted by the Rocky Mountain wood tick (Dermacentor andersoni). It occurs in the the Rocky Mountain states at elevations of 4,000 to 10,500 feet.
Ehrlichiosis is transmitted to humans by the lone star tick (Amblyomma americanum), found primarily in the southcentral and eastern U.S.
Heartland virus cases have been identified in the Midwestern and southern United States. Studies suggest that Lone Star ticks can transmit the virus. It is unknown if the virus may be found in other areas of the U.S.
Lyme disease is transmitted by the blacklegged tick (Ixodes scapularis) in the northeastern U.S. and upper midwestern U.S. and the western blacklegged tick (Ixodes pacificus) along the Pacific coast.
Powassan disease is transmitted by the blacklegged tick (Ixodes scapularis) and the groundhog tick (Ixodes cookei). Cases have been reported primarily from northeastern states and the Great Lakes region.
Rickettsia parkeri rickettsiosis is transmitted to humans by the Gulf Coast tick (Amblyomma maculatum).
Rocky Mountain spotted fever (RMSF) is transmitted by the American dog tick (Dermacentor variabilis), Rocky Mountain wood tick (Dermacentor andersoni), and the brown dog tick (Rhipicephalus sangunineus) in the U.S. The brown dog tick and other tick species are associated with RMSF in Central and South America.
STARI (Southern tick-associated rash illness) is transmitted via bites from the lone star tick (Ambylomma americanum), found in the southeastern and eastern U.S.
Tickborne relapsing fever (TBRF) is transmitted to humans through the bite of infected soft ticks. TBRF has been reported in 15 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming and is associated with sleeping in rustic cabins and vacation homes.
Tularemia is transmitted to humans by the dog tick (Dermacentor variabilis), the wood tick (Dermacentor andersoni), and the lone star tick (Amblyomma americanum). Tularemia occurs throughout the U.S.
364D rickettsiosis (Rickettsia phillipi, proposed) is transmitted to humans by the Pacific Coast tick (Dermacentor occidentalis ticks). This is a new disease that has been found in California.
