you can also spray it with CLEAR LACQUER GLOSS, makes the shed last much longer and gives it some rigidity. also brightens it a bit
Dope ass idea, I'm definitely trying that
What a great idea! This shed now is a beautiful piece of decoration. I didn´t know that one can do this with a shed that is already dry.
Thank you!! Yeah it’s an awesome thing to do with a nice peace of shed.
I love it. I save my perfect snake sheds. Brilliant idea.
Thanks! I did this with my dekay brown snake's second shed! Though, since it is a small, it is a bit difficult!
Nice informative video with easy step by step instructions. Thank you!
Yep a great way to hang a shed thanks for sharing.
Thank you! It’s a really cool way to decorate the room.
What a super idea! I'll definitely try it
Now I really wanna do that with my snake's shed
You should!
Thank you so much, luv. While I’m a zoologist , I’m not a herpetologist. I don’t currently own any snakes, but live in the desert mountains & have a ridiculous collection of sheds. Idk what to do w them all. At least this way I can preserve the more beautiful specimens and perhaps just sections of busted up sheds.
I just finished cutting into my 6’3” ABSOLUTELY PERFECT Bull snake shed, after watching your vid. Her eyeballs were still attached like perfect little contact lenses. Even though it a common bull snake... her shed was ABSOLUTELY LOVELY. (I did have to gently press and wipe down w a wet cloth because she was a bit dusty.
Can you tell me if spraying them w an acrylic lacquer of some sort is a no no or not? Also, I accidentally grabbed my spray bottle of essential oil + h2O mix instead of straight water. While it made the shed uber pliable and shiny..... now comes the dust clinging to it. 😞 Thats why I’m wondering if lacquer spray would help. In fact ANY more fun snake shed tips will help! 😂 I fear I’ll began to look like a freak of some sort w dozens of 6 ft sheds sticky taped to my walls! Thank you so much! Sorry bout the novel!
This is awesome bru!
Corné Uys Outdoors thanks my bro!!
I didn’t know snake sheds could look that good. My snakes shed are white with a little orange (pretty boring)
That’s not boring, this one doesn’t really even have colour.
Possibly a stupid question but I'm having no luck on Google. Is it possible to dye a snakes shed skin? The closest result google has given me is some person who dyed the resin after the shed was put in it. I want to know if it can be dyed directly.
Awesome i should have saved the previous big puffies shed ,,,luckily i have a beautiful puffy skin.
Yeah man you should really do it! Puffy skin always looks lekka!
Thank you it's stunning
Or eat it
May i ask what is the condition in your eyes?
It’s called Heterochromia and yes I can see through both eyes😂
eat it infront of the snake
😳😳😳😂
I saw ants breaking down the shed and collecting it... Do ants eat snake shed?
I do believe they eat it yeah
Can u send me sum
Hmmm maybe I can
Thank you for Editing your video--cutting out the non-interesting and speeding up thru other parts. Couldn't you skip a step in your preserve process? instead of putting on paper, stretching, letting it dry, cutting the paper, REWETTING THE SKIN, then gluing... put on paper and spread it out, but with nice side down. Then while it's still damp, put glue on the paper parallel to the skin, fold it over onto the skin, let it dry, flip the paper, take the paper off the outer side of the skin. THEN cut the paper around the skin. (?)
I make soap out of it.
Wut😂
HOW??? TELL ME HOW
Edit: im a soap-er too and have lots of shed snake skin I need to use
