I have literally found myself in Virgo’s Groove like a minute in and didn’t even realize Plastic Off the Sofa had ended. Like can we say COHEEEEEESIVE!?!?👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
You are the best Beyoncé vocal analyst. I’ve been watching you from your original “Beyoncé’s Voice is Changing” and its made me SO much more impressed with her vocal range in this album, especially after having THREE kids. Beyoncé only continues to blow away everyone’s expectations and limitations of her as an artist. The only person she outdo’s is herself at this point. Thank you so much for you vocal analysis videos!
Hopefully!! Academy will not give it to her !! She been earned it though . They wait until someone takes a left with it then oh here you won congratulations!! Like the album Beyoncé let her hair down for real. 👑 🐝👑🐝👑🐝
Bey’s shows from tours have sick transitions too! Thank u for this explanation bc I have no idea about the technical side of it all.. I just know my ears love it 😆
I love it too because of how it builds. I love it even more now after the tour. It feels like an engine that’s revving up for the entire song. The release is the ending! Which given some of the other comments I can understand why that leaves some people unsatisfied. But I really enjoy it. It’s one of those songs that makes me feel like I can float away and get lost in variations on one idea.
“Break my soul”, sound’s allot better and makes more sense, as part of a bigger transition, than it does,(by itself) on radio. The album is based on how a DJ at a “house music” club or party would mix various genres of music.
Also did you notice she uses words/phrases repetitively throughout the different songs!! Genius!!🤯 That too makes the songs feel connected….like she wrote it all in one session!! AGAIN 🐝GENIUS 🎶🥹
Maaaaan I was listening to this album in the car yesterday and hearing the transitions from Cuff it to Energy then to Break My Soul 😭 I almost got emotional lmao. I love when an artist puts a project together that makes sense. The 70s, ballroom, house music is my cup of tea so of course I love this album BUT then you add these beautiful transitions!! I have no choice but to listen to multiple songs back to back lol
I've been looking forward to your thoughts about this album! Thank you for sharing your genius with us!! These transitions are seamless which makes sense why it's so easy to listen to.
START IT! UA-camrs are just people freaking out about things that mean a lot to them! (Well not always freaking out, but you get what I mean!) Do it!!!
I really appreciate you for these analysis! You speak knowledge and science to what I hear sonically and feel in my soul. Music is so beautiful especially when you can break it down like this and appreciate it even more. Music is healing. Music is beautiful!
Seeing this video all this time later since you’ve uploaded it and now the tour has ended. You grouped the songs together into movements almost exactly as she performed them. You hit the nail or its head sir! 🙌🏾
I love how you verbalised some of my thoughts about the album, especially regarding the movements. I kept almost viewing it as like 6 songs because I haddd to listen to each movement together lol: 1:(I'm That Girl, Cozy, Alien Superstar) 2:(Cuff It, Energy, Break My Soul) 3:Church Girl 4:(Plastic off the Sofa, Virgo's Groove, Move, Heated) 5:(Thique, All Up in Your Mind) & 6:(America Has a Problem, Pure/Honey, Summer Renaissance).
I think of Beyonce as a DJ on this. Just imagine she has a microphone and a DJ booth, all her sampled songs on deck, a keyboard, and some vocal support harmony singers. So the transitions remind me of what a DJ would do to go to the next song.
I feel like the transition or lack thereof to Move was purposeful. The boastful and proud lyrical content, I suspect, impacted the structure of the track. I felt like I was jolted a bit like “MOVE B****” lol!! Loved this breakdown! Thank you so much for taking your time and developing this video, I learned so muchhhh
I just found your video and I love the way you explain Congratulations you managed to gain another follower great job Hugs from Brazil Rio de Janeiro ❤️❤️❤️
I LOVE watching your B reviews.. idk anything about musical composition, but I could watch you all day. Your passion and genuine love for what you do is what makes it exciting! Thank you! :)
Marvin Gaye “I Want You” transition from Plastic Off the Sofa to Virgo’s Groove. The speeding up and Adlibs is really inspired by Marvin. Also the percussion. I have been waiting on someone to catch it. I know Solange also did a cover of “I Want You.” Also a lot of George Clinton 🥰
I’m gonna take this masterclass. Because I can sing! I like my voice, but it’s different. Some people really like it and others just don’t and everyone wants to be liked lol so I’m learning to let that go.
YES I totally agree Cuff It Up and Energy seem like 1 big song. It evolves into a tempo filled afro beat but I get what youre saying about the transition.
There are some choir like vocals happening at the end of break my soul that I think set up church girl nicely. It's not a through line transition like the others, but I feel like it helps makes that movement into the next song a little more cohesive.
When I was listening the album, I couldn't realize when one song finish and other start😂😂 I was like "wow this song is really long" and was listening cozy instead of I'm that girl
I can’t listen to Virgo’s Groove without listening to the last 1 minute ish of Plastic off the Sofa. The transition is so beautiful
Ethereal
SAME
I have literally found myself in Virgo’s Groove like a minute in and didn’t even realize Plastic Off the Sofa had ended. Like can we say COHEEEEEESIVE!?!?👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Sooooo velvety
Ooh, I just call the combo “Plastic Groove”, lol. 😂🤎✌🏾

I am so honoured! Thank you so much! 🥺
HER MIND >>>>>> this is a ridiculously good album. Oh my GOD Bey!!!!
This is album of the year
Hopefully!! Academy will not give it to her !! She been earned it though . They wait until someone takes a left with it then oh here you won congratulations!!
Like the album Beyoncé let her hair down for real. 👑 🐝👑🐝👑🐝
@@California0931 they give it to whites
She did a lot of these transitions in the self-titled album.... Ghost / Hunted, Yoncé / Partition, Bow Down / ***Flawless...
Yes I know what to you mean I use to listen to the whole album , that's my second favorite to this new album. 😊
This is a masterpiece album. Kudos Beyoncé and all the musicians and producers involved.
Bey’s shows from tours have sick transitions too! Thank u for this explanation bc I have no idea about the technical side of it all.. I just know my ears love it 😆
I’ve been seeing that since The Beyoncé Experience
@@khotsokhotso4068 YES!!
All up in your mind is MY fave, i need more people to understand how good it is
YES. COSIGN. 🙌🏾
I feel like it builts something that us never resolved. I don't like it
It’s alright. One of the weaker songs on the album. Ends pretty abruptly.
I love it too because of how it builds. I love it even more now after the tour. It feels like an engine that’s revving up for the entire song. The release is the ending! Listening to the album without skipping is mandatory! the queen did not create such a masterpiece for us to skip! that is an insult to Beyonce .
Thique sounds like a Billie Elish song
I skip move 🫣
@@fagittarius555 no it doesn’t wtf 😂😂
Could we also talk about how the end of summer renaissance transitions so well into I’m that girl
yesssssss
Come through Parkwood University Professor of Music!! I love your analysis of Beyoncé’s music. It always leaves me with more perceptive ears.
Iconic transitions! An album to listen to from start to finish!
Can't wait for his analysis of Virgo's Groove
Is it just me or the connection of Break My Soul to Church Girl was the choir-ish vocals
It’s not just you! My wife said this too!
@@oneilgerald our minds?!?!? Haha 😆

Unique! ❤
6:37 WE NEED THAT REMIX OF CUFF IT!!!
the transition from beyonce to your class promo tho!!!
along with that beyonce sings "im all up in your mind" twice at the end of thique to help prepare us between the transition between the two songs
The album is basically mixed like a 2000s dj mix cd. Perfect choice for a nonstop dance album!
I absolutely love your enthusiasm and excitement you have whenever you review Beyoncé’s music.
And He has a WIFE 5:31 That's the surprise of the century.
@@cavalrystyles8776 Not really, having a wife is normal
Thank you ! This album is a masterpiece.

Incredible album🐝🤎🙌🏽
I've been looking forward to your thoughts about this album! Thank you for sharing your genius with us!! These transitions are seamless which makes sense why it's so easy to listen to.
excited for the plastic off the sofa reaction
I’ve been admiring these 🔥🔥🔥 transitions. The production on this work of art is immaculate.
Also Plastic Off The Sofa and Virgos Groove also seem like 1 song effortlessly woven together.
that‘s the beauty about this album: listening it as one big song hits different than listening to individual songs…
I also like how you transitioned on how you can help peeps😉
Thank you for this! Nobody's been talking about these 🔥 transitions! They really make the album what it is!
This is amazing!! I’m so tempted to start a channel that’s how this Album has hit me!!!

You explaining why these feel and sound so good make them even better. The genius and thought and intention is jaw dropping
Loved the brilliance of this video, O'Neil! And Cuff It + Energy's transition is the definition of eargasm. ✨
this album's transitions remind me a lot of Donna Summer's Bad Girls, it would be awesome if you talked about those
A perfect homage
Currently at school
Can’t wait to watch this🔥
Your video on the Homecoming transitions was great🔥
I’ve been waiting for your reaction
Your breakdown is INCREDIBLE!! Wowwww🐝🐝🐝🎶👌🏾
You KNOW we need a vocal breakdown of the runs from Plastic Off the Sofa and Virgo’s Groove!
love your channel since beyonce's voice is changing

Can we really class move -> heated a transition like that?
*UNIQUE!*
Ur analysis are amazing as always 😍👏🏽👏🏽
The Dream is the king of transitions 🔥🔥🔥
The transition on the Album is Phenomenal ‼️
Renaissance is a masterpiece ✨️
The “You’re on mute” mug predicted the Mute Challenge in the tour
This. Is. Freaking. HILARIOUS!!! Never in a million years would I have made the connection. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The album is structured into four parts, like the four sides of the vinyl. Love your insight
you're so professional 👏 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Bro…. This was so much fun to watch lol. Your excitement talking about these songs is awesome! 🎉
I so appreciate it!! This music is just BANANAS! It's definitely worthy of excitement!
people have not listened to confessions on a dancefloor all the way through and it shows
This is the channel that I was looking for!😭😭
Love this analysis. It’s interesting to learn more about this stuff.

I love this type of transition- It reminds me of Mary J Blige’s Growing Pains Album but it’s next level
Thank you. I needed this.

Can't wait for your review of PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA.
I realised that she did that between the tracks but the way you explain everything is amazing. Love it ;)
I just found your video and I love the way you explain
Congratulations you managed to gain another follower great job
Hugs from Brazil Rio de Janeiro ❤️❤️❤️
Would also love a breakdown of Plastic Off The Couch and Virgos Groove! You have to!! Lol.
She’s requiring us to listen to the entire album. If you skip a song, you’re missing a key component of the song
Vigro’s Groove is my favorite too. It’s crazy because BLOW is also one of my favorite Beyonce songs. They remind me so much of each other.
today I was thinking I cant waitttt until Oneil gives his think piece about this album!
3:02 was that not an interpolation of “Here I Go” by mystikal? That’s what it’s giving!
love this deep dive. efforts appreciated.
I've been waiting on you !!
I LOVE watching your B reviews.. idk anything about musical composition, but I could watch you all day. Your passion and genuine love for what you do is what makes it exciting! Thank you! :)

Album is Fireeeeeee🔥🔥🔥
No joke, I keep checking to see if you'd uploaded a video on Plastic Off the Sofa (b/c come on now!) so I'm very happy you have a video on the way. 😅
I’m gonna take this masterclass. Because I can sing! I like my voice, but it’s different. Some people really like it and others just don’t and everyone wants to be liked lol so I’m learning to let that go.
I can relate lol

i hope Beyoncé sees this because you be getting into the meat of her projects!
Review Virgo’s groove PLEASE!!!!!
Stayed up late last night hoping you’d upload something lol 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
you did this
YES I totally agree Cuff It Up and Energy seem like 1 big song. It evolves into a tempo filled afro beat but I get what youre saying about the transition.
Would love to hear your analysis of Church Girl in a separate video. It’s my favorite too.
Yes
There are some choir like vocals happening at the end of break my soul that I think set up church girl nicely. It's not a through line transition like the others, but I feel like it helps makes that movement into the next song a little more cohesive.
Give us a VOCAL ANALYSIS of Plastic Off The Sofa and Virgo’s Groove PLEASE!
OMG WAIT PLEASE DISCUSS ABOUT HER NEW VOICE BECAUSE IT SOUNDS LIKE SHE ACTUALLY GOT HER OLD SOUND BACK
Woahhhh what happened to that arpeggiated synth at the end of I’m That Girl! I wish she’d kept that in
♥
At the end of Thique she also sings I’m all up in your mind. I don’t think you mentioned that?
When I was listening the album, I couldn't realize when one song finish and other start😂😂 I was like "wow this song is really long" and was listening cozy instead of I'm that girl
I miss the LALALALALA on Energy
you'll find that Summer Renaissance transitions well into I'm That Girl
I don’t even know about music, but I’m watching ☺️
