Chris Cornell's plethora of music has gotten me through a lot of my own chronic depression. I never even once stopped to think if this beautiful soul suffered as well, and what might have gotten him through his own. I know where people are coming from when they say that if you're feeling depressed, then reach out to others. There are many issues with this, we live in a world where people don't necessarily want to listen to what others are suffering through, we live in a world where people like to shit on others, and those who do suffer from depression often try to hide it to the best of their abilities, anyways. We don't really want to reach out, we just want to be left alone and secluded, it's how you spot those who actually suffer and those who just want attention. What hurts most with losing Chris, is we saw a guy who had everything. He had a bizarre sense of smart humor in interviews, he always smiled, said the right things, gave back to fans, stayed constantly busy. He would tour with Soundgarden, then do a solo tour, extend dates, play with Audioslave, set plans for a Temple of The Dog reunion. God be with him, his family, and all of us as well and get us through this mourning. ❤️
He left you a gift in understanding the human soul, Chris has soul in spades! Hope you continue to feel the soul he gave us and it holds you firm during an emotional storm
Hats off to Corey, he really went for it. Don't be too hard on the man, the vocals delivered in studio for Badmototerfinger were so difficult that Chris himself struggled live, but he delivered.. even to the point of his vocal cords being damaged for nearly two years post tour. R.I.P.
Chris Cornell and Scott Wieland are two of my favorite vocalists. R.I.P. In my opinion, Chris, Scott, Cory Taylor and Phillip Anselmo are the Rob Halford, Ronnie James Dio, and Bruce Dickinson in the last 20 years. Not that they sound the same, but bring the power, range, and soul to Hard Rock and Metal.
To think that this is played half a step down just so someone like Corey can sing is a testament to just how good of a vocalist Chris Cornell really was.
Huge respect! To have learned that song on the same day? Unbelievable! Just goes to show how much respect THEY have and their professionalism and the love in the music community.

God bless the friends and family of Chris Cornell, and God bless Chris as well. I'm sorry for my long rant, it just hurts.
bibby42 This his me so hard as well, he never seemed depressed to me, but it just goes to show you never know what is going on inside another persons head/heart. I truly hope he is in a better place now, and that he sees how much he was loved and how much he will be missed. God be with him, his family, and all of us as well and get us through this mourning. ❤️
He left you a gift in understanding the human soul, Chris has soul in spades! Hope you continue to feel the soul he gave us and it holds you firm during an emotional storm
how freaking cool. Even the audience sounded good. Badass tribute.
corey taylor never disappoints... awesome cover nice tribute Rest in Peace Chris Cornell!
Wow. Corey did justice to this song and more. What a great tribute to an absolute legend from another legend.
Those drums sound fucking HUGE!!!
This is a good cover, and a nice tribute to a hero of mine. RIP Chris Cornell.
This was epic! Thanks so much for sharing! Corey killed it!
That's a tough song to sing. Not just anybody can sing that for sure. Chris was a monster on the mic. Corey did a hell of a job.
Wow.... Not many people can sing Cornell, but that was really awesome.
Richard Gronlie we can all sing it at the top of our lungs FOR CHRIS f.t.w.
One of the greatest Soundgarden song's and Chris Cornell would be proud to hear Corey do this song some serious fucking justice!!!
Hats off to Corey, he really went for it. Don't be too hard on the man, the vocals delivered in studio for Badmototerfinger were so difficult that Chris himself struggled live, but he delivered.. even to the point of his vocal cords being damaged for nearly two years post tour. R.I.P.
Barnabas Jones
Don't have to be hard on him. Nobody sings like Chris but Corey nailed it. It was awesome.
This probably the most beautiful and appropriate tribute to Chris I have seen yet!
That was a fantastic tribute! The fans should be proud cause they rocked also!!
Rest in peace chris
To think that this is played half a step down just so someone like Corey can sing is a testament to just how good of a vocalist Chris Cornell really was.
That was a great fucking cover. Chris Cornell had very unique vocals and range. I give Corey a lot of credit for his effort.
Props to Stone Sour for a Tribute! Much respect for our Rock Nation!
I want Soundgarden to keep the slot and have other singers do tributes to Chris
Not even a Stone Sour fan, but dammit, they made me tear up. It's been a rough few days after losing my favorite vocalist since childhood.
Huge respect! To have learned that song on the same day? Unbelievable! Just goes to show how much respect THEY have and their professionalism and the love in the music community.
shame to those who gave thumbs down. they tried. Cornell is hard to sing. he had a one of a kind voice that can NOT be replaced. period. rest in peace Chris. still mourning
This is my first time listening to Stone Sour, the singer is amazing! This is great tribute to my favorite singer/songwriter of all time :(
Compared to his vocals in Slipknot, Corey's voice is so varied and it really shows how much of a fantastic singer he is. His screams in Slipknot match what the band want but it's clear Stone Sour is the one he puts more passion into
Corey Taylor is a unicorn.... awesome tribute indeed, may your soul be at peace Chris Cornell.....
We are so lucky to have Corey Taylor and a heavy music leader.
It was a sad day yesterday... we lost an amazing vocalist who had the world right in his hands, and he just decided to give it up. RIP Cornell.
