  • Was the Fatwa of Imaam Khomeni against Salman Rushdie Correct? - Dr Zakir Naik
    TJIPQA-9
Questioner: Salaamu Alaikum, my name is Yashak Ayami… I’m from Iran really and I want to know exactly is that… you must have read Salman Rushdie’s Satanic Verse and as a Muslim… nobody would have liked that book… so what do you think Imaam Khomeini did was… what he did was correct…. Asking for the people for Fatawa… that is my main point. What Imaam Khomeini had told about fatawa…against….. Fatawa against Salman Rushdie… was it correct or what… ?
Dr. Zakir Naik: Brother has asked the question, that what Imaam Khomeini said regarding the Fatawa of Salman Rushdie… is it right or wrong? My basic question is that why did Imaam Khomeini give the Fatawa one year later. The first country to ban the book of Salman Rushdie’s Satanic Verses was India… and I congratulated Rajiv Gandhi for doing that act. Why should Khomeini give the fatawa of killing Salman Rushdie after one year? Because he was getting out of the news… all politicians…politicians. If he wanted to give the Fatawa he should have given… the book was reviewed by so many parts of the world, so many countries banned it and then he gives a Fatawa that he should be killed. Whether right or wrong.. its afterwards …all these are political gains. All political gains… All these scenes are political gains but what Rajiv Gandhi did may be he didn’t know about it and I’ve given a talk on this issue of Satanic Verses. Though this book is banned in India, I’ve read that book. You know?.... Salman Rushdie who claims… just for name sake he’s a Muslim… he did not leave anyone. In his book he even abuses Queen Elizabeth. And the same British government who had banned an American author for using a four letter word, ‘Father Uncle Cousin King’… for the policy of Margaret Thatcher… that same Salman Rushdie he makes it active and uses ‘ing’ and yet the book is very popular. So one American author they ban because he uses a four letter word for Margaret Thatcher… this another person Salman Rushdie makes it active ‘ing’ for the same Margaret Thatcher policy but he gets an award… why? Because he is maligning Islam… so they are very happy and do you know he did not even leave Ram and Sita… you know these people are respected by the majority of the Indians… even abused them.. I don’t want to use that word.. he abused them… he did not even leave them also and many of the people are supporting. So may be Rajiv Gandhi didn’t know but later on if you read that book you realize that he did not leave anyone.
So if a person who keeps maligning etc., Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Ma’idah, Chapter No. 5, Verse No. 33,
“As to anyone who wages a war against Allah and his Messenger”…
There are various options given that you can either execute him, you can crucify him.. chop off opposite limbs or take him out of the country and this law is not only in the Qur’an it is even in the Bible. If you read the Book of Leviticus, it says that “anyone who blasphemeth the lord you should stone that person to death, even a passer by who’s a stranger should stone that person to death who blasphemeth the Lord.”
So this law is there in all the religious scriptures, not only there in Islam…. In most of the religious scripture for blasphemy, whether it be Christianity, whether it be Islam, whether it be Judaism for blasphemy… if it’s a confirmed blasphemy… if it’s that part of the country. We cannot give Fatawas here, they should kill ...

General Meanings of the Arabic word Rabb
Lord (Arabic: رب‎, rabb ), is often used to refer to God in Islam (Allah). ... The literal meaning of the word is Sustainer, Cherisher, Master and/or "Nourisher", and in that sense, a man is the "rabb" of his house
The three radicals of the Arabic word Rabb are the letters (r, b, b) and the basic meaning is to bring up. If we take into account the wider meaning of the root word and its various derivatives, we find that it has following connotations:
    One who brings up, rear, fosters or nourishes, or is responsible for doing all or one or more than one of these;
    Guardian, patron; one who supervises or is responsible for carrying out improvements;
    One who occupies a central or focal position, who himself gathers people round himself of his own or round whom people gather out themselves;
    Leader, head, chief, or lord; one whose word is obeyed, and whose supremacy or over lordship acknowledged, and who has authority to dispose of men or things;
    Owner ; master

    (Quran 3:33-36)
    The Childhood of Mary
“So her Lord fully accepted her, and gave her a good upbringing, and put her under the care of Zechariah. Every time Zechariah entered upon her in the prayer room, he found her supplied with food. He said, ‘O Mary, where do you get this from?’ She said, ‘This is from God. Indeed, God provides for whom He wills, without limit.’” (Quran 3:37)
    Mary, the Devout
“And (mention) when the angels said, ‘O Mary, indeed God has chosen you, purified you, and chosen you above the women of the worlds.’ ‘O Mary, be devoutly obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow down along those who bow down (in prayer).’ This is a part of the news of the unseen, which We reveal to you (O Muhammad). You were not with them when they cast lots with their pens to (decide) which of them should take care of Mary, nor were you with them when they disputed.” (Quran 3:42-44)
The Good news of a new-born child
“(And mention) when the angels said, ‘O Mary, indeed God gives you the good news of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honor in this world and in the Hereafter, and of those who are near to God.’ ‘He will speak to the people in the cradle, and in old age, and he will be of the righteous.’ She said, ‘My Lord, how can I have a son when no man has touched me.’ He said, ‘So (it will be,) for God creates what He wants. When He decides something, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is. And He will teach him the Book and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel. And (will make him) a messenger to the Children of Israel (saying), ‘Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I make for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, then breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by the permission of God. And I heal the blind and the leper, and I bring the dead to life by the permission of God. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Surely, there is a sign for you in that, if you are believers. And (I have come) confirming the Torah that was (revealed) before me, and to allow you some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a proof from your Lord, so fear God and obey me. Indeed, God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is the straight path.” (Quran 3:45-51)
“And mention in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to an eastern place. And she placed a screen to seclude herself from them. Then We sent to her Our angel (Gabriel), and he took the form of a well-created man before her. She said, “Indeed I seek refuge with the Most Merciful from you, if you do fear God.”[1] (The angel) said, ‘I am only the messenger of your Lord to give to you (the news of) a pure boy.’ She said, ‘How can I have a son, when no man has touched me (in marriage), and I am not a prostitute?’ He said, So your Lord said, ‘It is easy for Me. And We will make him a sign to people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter (already) decided.’”[2] (Quran 19:16-21

    Similarities between Hinduism and Islam
So the major difference between the Hindu and the Muslims is, the common Hindu says that everything is God, we Muslim say everything is God’s. ‘G’ ‘O’ ‘D’ with an apostrophe ‘S’. The major difference is the apostrophe ‘s’. If we can solve this difference of apostrophe ‘S’, the Hindus and the Muslims will be united. How would do you do it? As the Qur’an says, “Ta`alaw 'Ilá Kalimatin Sawa'in Baynana Wa Baynakum” “Come to common terms as between us and you” Which is the first term? “Alla Na`buda 'Illallah” “That we believe in only One Almighty God” Let us try and understand what the Hindu scriptures have to speak about Almighty God. It is mentioned in the Chandogya Upanishad, Chapter No. 6, Section No. 2, Verse No. 1, it says, “Ekam Evadvitiyam” It’s a Sanskrit quotation which means, “God is only one without a second.” It is mentioned in the Shvetashvatara Upanishad, Chapter No. 6, Verse No. 9, “Na casya Kascij janita na Cadhipah.” “Of Him there are no parents, he has got no lords, Almighty God has got no mother, he has got no father, he has got no master, he has got no superior” It’s mentioned in the Shvetashvatara Upanishad, Chapter No. 4, Verse No. 19, “Na Tasya Pratima Asti” “Of Him there is no likeness” It’s further mentioned in the Shvetashvatara Upanishad, Chapter No. 4, Verse No. 20, that “His form cannot be seen. No one can see Him with their eyes.” Amongst all the Hindu scriptures the most widely read and the most popular is the Bhagavad Gita. It’s mentioned in Bhagavad Gita Chapter No. 7, Verse No. 20, “All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship demi Gods.” Which means all materialistic people, they worship demi gods, that is the false gods besides the one true Almighty God. It’s further mentioned in Bhagavad Gita Chapter No. 10, Verse No. 3, that “He who knows me as the unborn, the beginning less, the supreme Lord of all the worlds.” Amongst the Hindu scriptures, the most sacred are the Vedas. It’s mentioned in the Yajurveda Chapter No. 32, Verse No. 3, “Na Tasya Pratima Asti” “Of Him there are no images.” Almighty God has got no images, and it further says that he’s unborn, he alone only should be worshipped. It’s mentioned in Yajurveda, Chapter No. 40, Verse No. 8, that “Almighty God is imageless and pure.” It’s mentioned in Yajurveda Chapter No. 40 Verse No. 9, “Andhatma Pravishanti ya Aasambhuti mupaste.” ‘Andhatma’ means darkness. ‘Pravishanti’ means entering and ‘Asambhuti’ means the natural things like fire, water, air. It means, “They are entering darkness those who worship the natural things like fire, water, air and the verse continues, they are entering more in darkness those who worship the created things” Like table, chair, idols etc. Who says that? Yajurveda Chapter No. 40 Verse No. 9. It’s further mentioned in the Atharvaveda, Book No. 20, Hymn No. 58, Verse No. 3, “Dev maha Asi” “Verily great is Almighty God.” And amongst the Hindu scriptures, the most sacred are the Rigveda. It’s mentioned in the Rigveda, Book No. 1, Hymn No. 164, Verse No. 46, the Shlokas which were recited by the respected Pandits, it says, “Ekkam sad vipra bhudha vidante” “Ekkam sad vipra bhudha vidante” Which means, “Truth is one, God is one, sages call him by various names.” And the same message is repeated in Rigveda, Book No. 10, Hymn No. 114, Verse No. 5, that God is one but sages call him by a variety of names.” And in Rigveda alone, in Book No. 2 Hymn No. 1 there are no less than 33 different attributes given to Almighty God, many of which were recited by the respected Pandits. One amongst them in Rigveda, Book No. 2, Hymn No. 1, Verse No. 3 is Brahamma. Brahamma is called the creator. If you translate into Arabic, it means Khaliq. We Muslims have got no objection if someone calls Almighty God as Khaliq or the Creator, but if someone says the creator is Almighty God who has got four heads and on each head is a crown, we Muslims take strong exception to it. More over, you are going against Shvetashvatara Upanishad Chapter No. 4 Verse No. 19 which says, “Na Tasya Pratima Asti” “Of Him there is no likeness” Another attribute given in Rigveda, Book No. 2, Hymn No. 1, Verse No. 3 is ‘Vishnu’. Vishnu is called the Sustainer, the cherisher. If you translate into Arabic, it is somewhat similar to Rabb. We Muslims have got no objection if someone says Almighty God is Rabb or Sustainer or Cherisher. But if someone says Sustainer, he’s Almighty God who has got four hands, one of his right hand is the Disc, the Chakra, the other hand he has the conch, he’s traveling on the bird by the name of Garuda or reclining on couch of snakes, we Muslims take strong objection to it. Moreover you are going against the Yajurveda, Chapter No. 32, Verse No. 3 which says, “Na Tasya Pratima Asti” “Of Him there are no images” If you read Rigveda, all these descriptions are not given, the attributes are given that Almighty God is creator, he’s sustainer, he’s cherisher. We have no objection with attribute, but these images are not given because it is mentioned in the Veda’s that Almighty God has got no images. It’s further mentioned in Rigveda, Book No. 8, Hymn No. 1, Verse No. 1, “Ma Chidanyadvi Sansad” “Ma Chidanyadvi Sansad” Which means, “Do not worship anyone except the one God.” It’s mentioned in Rigveda, Book No. 6, Hymn No. 45, Verse No. 16, “Ya Ekit Mushtihi” “Praise him alone, the one true God” And the Brahma Sutra of the Vedanta is “Ekam Brahm, dvitiya naste neh na naste kinchan” Which means, “Bhagwan ek hi hai doosra nahi hai, nahi hai, nahi hai, zara bhi nahi hai.”

One thing brother Zaker does not know:
Khomeini was not a politician. Had zero politics. His famous quote of: our politics is our religion… was true.
What he doesn’t realize, the book was banned in India and got no publicity until a year later and then khomeini learned about it and got upset and reacted as he did …
Not commenting he was right or wrong. But I assure you he did not know until then and he was not man of hesitation and waiting for a year.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was the most generous of all the people, and he used to reach the peak in generosity in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night of Ramadan to teach him the Qur'an. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was the most generous person, even more generous than the strong uncontrollable wind (in readiness and haste to do charitable deeds).

What does it mean when Allah says we ❓
    Praise be to Allah.
It is a feature of literary style in Arabic that a person may refer to himself by the pronoun nahnu (we) for respect or glorification. He may also use the word ana (I), indicating one person, or the third person huwa (he). All three styles are used in the Qur’an, where Allaah addresses the Arabs in their own tongue.
    (Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah, 4/143).
“Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, sometimes refers to Himself in the singular, by name or by use of a pronoun, and sometimes by use of the plural, as in the phrase (interpretation of the meaning): ‘Verily, We have given you a manifest victory” [al-Fath 48:1], and other similar phrases. But Allaah never refers to Himself by use of the dual, because the plural refers to the respect that He deserves, and may refer to His names and attributes, whereas the dual refers to a specific number (and nothing else), and He is far above that.”
    (Al-‘Aqeedah al-Tadmuriyyah by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah, p. 75).
These words, innaa (“Verily We”) and nahnu (“We”), and other forms of the plural, may be used by one person speaking on behalf of a group, or they may be used by one person for purposes of respect or glorification, as is done by some monarchs when they issue statements or decrees in which they say “We have decided…” etc. [This is known in English as “The Royal We” - Translator]. In such cases, only one person is speaking but the plural is used for respect. The One Who is more deserving of respect than any other is Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, so when He says in the Qur’an innaa (“Verily We”) and nahnu (“We”), it is for respect and glorification, not to indicate plurality of numbers. If an aayah of this type is causing confusion, it is essential to refer to the clear, unambiguous aayaat for clarification, and if a Christian, for example, insists on taking ayaat such as “Verily, We: it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e., the Qur’an)” [al-Hijr 15:9 - interpretation of the meaning] as proof of divine plurality, we may refute this claim by quoting such clear and unambiguous aayaat as (interpretation of the meanings): “And your god is One God, there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful” [al-Baqarah 2:163] and “Say: He is Allaah, the One” [al-Ikhlaas 112:1] - and other aayaat which can only be interpreted in one way. Thus confusion will be dispelled for the one who is seeking the truth. Every time Allaah uses the plural to refer to Himself, it is based on the respect and honour that He deserves, and on the great number of His names and attributes, and on the great number of His troops and angels.”
(Reference: Al-‘Aqeedah al-Tadmuriyyah by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah, p. 109). And Allaah knows best.

The Quran contains many Prophecies that have been fulfilled,
The first two prophecies are noteworthy: unlike any other world scripture, the Quran prophesizes its own preservation under divine care, and we will demonstrate how it actually occurred.
The Protection of the Quran from Corruption
The Quran makes a claim no other religious text makes, that God Himself will keep its text safe from alteration. God says:
"Behold, it is We Ourselves who have gradually revealed this reminder, and, behold, it is We who shall truly guard it [from all corruption]." (Quran 15:9)
The Ease of Memorizing the Quran
God has made the Quran easy to memorize:
"And in truth We have made the Quran easy to remember; who, then, is willing to take it to heart?" (Quran 54:17)
The ease with which Quran is memorized is inimitable. There is not a single scripture or religious text in the world that is as easy to memorize; even non-Arabs and children commit it to memory easily. The entire Quran is memorized by almost every Islamic scholar and hundreds of thousands of ordinary Muslims, generation after generation. Almost every Muslim has some portion of the Quran memorized to read in his prayers.
    The Twofold Prophecy
Before the rise of Islam, the Romans and the Persians were two competing superpowers. Romans were led by Heraclius (610-641 CE), a Christian Emperor, whereas the Persians were Zoroastrians led by Khosrow Parviz (reigned 590-628 CE), under whom the empire achieved its greatest expansion.
In 614, the Persians conquered Syria and Palestine, taking Jerusalem, destroying the Holy Sepulcher and the ‘True Cross’ carried to Ctesiphon. Then, in 619, they occupied Egypt and Libya. Heraclius met them at Thracian Heraclea (617 or 619), but they sought to capture him, and he rode madly back to Constantinople, hotly pursued.[2]
The Muslims were grieved by the Roman defeat as they felt spiritually closer to Christian Rome than Zoroastrian Persia, but the Meccans were naturally buoyed up by the victory of pagan Persia. To Meccans, the Roman humiliation was a sinister omen of the defeat of the Muslims at pagan hands. At the time God’s prophecy comforted the faithful:
"The Romans have been defeated - in a land close by; but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious- within ten years. With God is the Decision, in the past and in the future: on that Day shall the believers rejoice with the help of God. He helps whom He will, and He is the Mighty, the Most-Merciful." (Quran 30:2-5)
The Quran made a prophecy of two victories:
    (i) The future Roman victory within ten years over Persians, something unimaginable at the time
(ii) The joy of the faithful on a victory over the pagans
Both of these prophecies actually occured.
In 622, Heraclius left Constantinople as prayers rose from its many sanctuaries for victory over the Persian Zoroastrians and the reconquest of Jerusalem. He devoted the next two years to campaigns in Armenia. In 627, he met the Persians near Nineveh. There, he killed three Persian generals in single combat, killed the Persian commander, and scattered the Persian host. A month later, Heraclius entered Dastagird with its stupendous treasure. Khosrow was overthrown by his son, who made peace with Heraclius. Returning to Constantinople in triumph, Heraclius was hailed as a hero.[3]
Also, in the year 624 AH, Muslims defeated the Meccans in the first and decisive Battle at Badr.
In the words of an Indian scholar:
"…a single line of prophecy was related to four nations and the fate of two great empires. All this proves the Holy Quran to be the Book of God."[4]
    The Prophecy of Pagan Defeat
The Quran predicted the defeat of unbelievers in Mecca while Prophet Muhammad and his followers were still being persecuted by them:
"Or do they (the Meccan disbelievers) say: ‘We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?’ Their multitude will be defeated, , and they shall turn their backs [in flight]!" (Quran 54:45)
The prophecy was revealed in Mecca, but was fulfilled at the Battle of Badr, two years after the Prophet’s migration to the city of Medina.
    The Fate of Specific Individuals
Waleed ibn Mugheera was a staunch enemy who openly ridiculed the Quran:
"Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old; this is nothing but the word of a mortal!" (Quran 74:24-25)
The Quran prophesized he will never accept Islam:
"Soon will I cast him into Hell-Fire! And what will explain to thee what Hell-Fire is? It leaves naught nor does it spare aught." (Quran 74:26-28)
Waleed died in a state of disbelief as prophesized by the Quran.
Also, concerning Abu Lahab, a fiery opponent of Islam, the Quran foretold he will die opposing the religion of God:
"May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, and [indeed] he has perished. His wealth and gains will not profit him. He will be plunged in flaming Fire." (Quran 111:1-3)
Specifically, three prophecies were made about Abu Lahab:
    (i) The conspiracies of Abu Lahab against the Prophet would not succeed.
(ii) His wealth and children would not benefit him.
(iii) He would die opposing God’s religion and enter the Fire.
Abu Lahab also died in a state of disbelief as prophesized by the Quran. Had Waleed or Abu Lahab accepted Islam even outwardly, they would have disproved its prophecies and thus its heavenly source!
In addition, Abu Lahab had four sons, two of whom died at a young age during his lifetime. The other two sons and a daughter embraced Islam and frustrated his hopes! Finally, he died of a plague; people would not touch his body out of fear of contamination and dumped mud and stones on him where he died to make it his grave.
A key foundation to believing that a scripture is actually a revelation of God is internal truth, whether it be in regards to occurrences in the past, to come in the future, or in contemporary ages. As one can see, there are many prophecies mentioned in that which is to come, some of which were fulfilled in the Prophet’s lifetime, or have been fulfilled since his death, while others are yet to appear

    Hadiths About Wiping Away Sins
we discussed the importance and virtue of tawbah in our daily lives. From the pro-active actions the believers can take to remove their sins, there are:
    Istighfār (seeking forgiveness)
    Tawbah (sincere repentance)
    Performing good deeds
In this final part, we have gathered a collection of narrations from the Prophet (sall Allāhu ‘alayhi wasallam) teaching us simple acts of worship which erase our sins or result in the angels seeking forgiveness for us. They include things we may do in our daily lives without a second thought, or things we ought to aspire to add to our routines.
The Prophet (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) famously said, “Verily, actions are but by intentions, and every person shall have (be rewarded for) what they intended.”[1]
Therefore, when we consider the following ahadīth, we should try to ensure that we not only carry out these actions regularly, but also intend that our bad deeds are wiped out as a result.
    1. Daily Prayers
The Prophet (sall Allāhu ‘alayhi wasallam) said: “The five daily prayers, Jumu’ah (Friday prayers), and Ramadān remove bad deeds between one and the next, if major sins are avoided.”[1]
    2. Fasting in Ramadān
“Whoever fasts Ramadān out of faith and the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.”[2]
    3. Worship on Laylat al-Qadr
“Whoever spends the night of Laylat al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.”[3]
    4. Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah, and ‘Āshūrā
“It (fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah) expiates the sins of the past year as well as the coming year.”[4]
“Fast the Day of ‘Āshūrā, for indeed I anticipate that Allāh will forgive (the sins of) the year before it.”[5]
    5. Performing Hajj/‘Umrah
“Whoever performs pilgrimage to this House and does not behave in an obscene or immoral manner will return free of sin like the day his mother gave birth to him.”[6]
    6. Wudū’
“When a Muslim or believer washes his face in ablution, every sin committed with his eyes will be washed away with the last drop of water. When he washes his hands, every sin committed with his hands will be washed away with the last drop of water. When he washes his feet, every sin committed with his feet will be washed away with the last drop of water, until he emerges purified from sin.”[7]
“There is no man that performs Wudū’, does it well, and prays, except that when he prays, he will be forgiven, whatever [sins he commits] between that and the next prayer.”[8]
    7. Bowing and prostrating in prayer
“When the servant stands to pray, all his sins are taken and placed on his head and shoulders. Every time he bows or prostrates, the sins fall away.”[9]
    8. The night prayer and supplication
“When it is the last third of the night, our Lord; the Blessed; the Superior, descends every night to the heaven of the world and says, “Is there anyone who invokes Me (demands anything from Me), that I may respond to his invocation; is there anyone who asks Me for something that I may give (it to) him; is there anyone who asks My forgiveness that I may forgive him?”[10]
    9. Spreading salām
“Two Muslims will not meet and shake hands except their sins are forgiven before they separate.”[11]
    10. Following up a bad deed with a good deed
“Be conscious of Allāh wherever you are. Follow the bad deed with a good one in order to erase it, and engage others with beautiful character.”
    11. Saqadah (voluntary charity)
“Charity extinguishes sin just as water extinguishes fire.”[12]
    12. Arriving early for the congregational prayer
“One of you does not sit waiting for the prayer except that he is counted as being in the prayer, so long as he does not break his ablution. The angels supplicate for him saying, ‘O Allāh, forgive him. O Allāh, have mercy upon him.’”[13]
    13. Calling the athān and the one who attends that prayer
“The Mu’ath-thin’s sins will be forgiven as far as his voice reaches, and every wet and dry thing will ask forgiveness for him. For the one who attends the prayer, twenty-five hasanāt (good deeds) will be recorded, and it is will be expiation (for sins committed) between them (the two prayers).”[14]
    14. Arriving early for jumu’ah and sitting silently
“If a man takes bath on Friday, cleans himself as much as he can, oils his hair, applies perfume available in his house, sets forth for the mosque, does not separate two people (to make a seat for himself), performs as many Prayers as written [by Allāh] for him, remains silent when the Imam speaks, his sins between that Friday and the following Friday will be forgiven.”[15]
    15. Saying “Āmīn” after the imām when he recites Al-Fātihah
“If any one of you says, ‘Āmīn’ and the angels in the heavens say ‘Āmīn’ with the former coinciding with the latter, all his past sins will be forgiven.”[16]
    16. Standing from rukū’
“When the imām says, ‘Sami`a Allāhu liman hamidah,’ you should say, ‘Allāhumma Rabbana lak al-hamd’. And if the saying of any one of you coincides with that of the angels, all his past sins will be forgiven.”[17]
    17. Remaining seated after prayer
“If a person stays in his place after the prayer, the angels supplicate for him. Their supplication is, ‘O Allāh forgive him. O Allāh, have mercy upon him.’”[18]
    18. Waiting in the masjid in between prayers
“Shall I not tell you of that by which Allāh expiates your sins and increases your good deeds?” They said, “Of course, O Messenger of Allāh.” The Prophet said, “Thorough ablution despite difficulty, taking many steps to the mosque, and waiting for one prayer after another.”[19]
    19. Praying Fajr and ‘Asr in congregation
“The angels of the day and the angels of the night meet at the Fajr and ʻAṣr prayers. They meet at the Fajr prayer and the angels of the night ascend, while the angels of the day remain. They then meet at the ʻAṣr prayer, and the angels of the day ascend while the angels of the night remain. Their Lord asks them, ‘How did you leave my slaves?’ They reply, ‘We came to them and they were praying and we left them and they were praying, so forgive them on the Day of Judgement.”[20]
    20. Performing the Duha prayer
“Whoever continuously performs the two rak’āh of Ad-Duha will have his sins forgiven, even if they are like the foam of the sea.”[21]
    21. Walking to the masjid
“Whoever purifies himself for ablution in his house and walks to a House among the Houses of Allāh in order to fulfil an obligation among the obligations of Allāh, then one step of his will expiate his sins and another step will elevate his status.”[22]
    22. Visiting the sick
“A Muslim does not visit his brother except that Allāh sends seventy thousand angels who supplicate for him, whichever hour of the day it is until the evening, or whichever hour of the evening it is until morning.”[23]
    23. Attending circles of remembrance
“Verily, Allāh Almighty has caravans of angels who have no other job but to follow gatherings of remembrance. When they find such gatherings of remembrance, they sit with them; some of them surround the others with their wings until the space between them and the heavens is covered.
When they disperse, they ascend to the heavens and Allāh Almighty asks them, even though he is best informed about them, ‘From where have you come?’ They say: ‘We came from Your servants on earth who were glorifying You, declaring Your Greatness and Oneness, praising You and asking from You.’ Allāh says: ‘What do they ask from Me?’ They say: ‘They ask for Your Paradise.’ Allāh says: ‘Have they seen My Paradise?’ They say, ‘No’. Allāh says: ‘What if they were to see My Paradise?’ They say: ‘They seek your Protection’. Allāh says: ‘From what do they seek my protection?’ They say: ‘From your Hellfire, our Lord.’ Allāh says: ‘Have they seen my Hellfire?’ They say, ‘No’. Allāh says: ‘What if they were to see My Hellfire?’ They say: ‘They ask for Your Forgiveness.’ Allāh says: ‘I will pardon them, give them what they request, and grant them protection.’ They say: ‘Our Lord, there is one among them, a simple servant who happened to pass by and sit there alongside them.’ Allāh says: ‘I will also grant him pardon, for whoever sits with these fellows will not suffer misery.’”[24]
    24. Supplicating after eating or putting on a new garment
“If anyone eats food and then says: ‘Praise be to Allāh Who has fed me with this food and provided me with it through no might and power on my part, former and latter sins will be forgiven. If anyone puts on a garment and says: ‘Praise be to Allāh Who has clothed me with this and provided me with it through no might and power on my part,’ former and later sins will be forgiven.”[25]
    25. Remembrance of Allāh (athkār)
“And he who utters ‘subhānAllāhi wa bihamdihi (Glory be to Allāh and His is the Praise)’ one hundred times during the day, his sins are wiped away even if they are like the foam of the sea.”[26]
    26. Saying words of istighfār (seeking forgiveness)
“He who says: ‘Astaghfir ullāh-allathī lā ilāha illā Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyūm, wa atūbu ilayhi (I seek the Forgiveness of Allāh, there is no true God except Allāh, the Ever-Living, the Self- Subsisting, and I turn to Him in repentance)’, his sins will be forgiven even if he ran away from the battlefield [while he was engaged in fighting for the cause of Allāh].”[27]

The Prophecies of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: Proofs of Prophethood “Say, [O Muhammad], ‘I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah nor that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me.’” [al-An‘ām 6: 50] Amidst the fiercest persecution and abuse that the Muslims faced in the earliest Meccan period, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would stand without wavering and convey to his followers God’s promise of Islam spreading all over the world. Tamīm ad-Dāri (rA) reports that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “This matter will certainly reach every place touched by the night and day. Allah will not leave a house of mud or [even] fur except that Allah will cause this religion to enter it, by which the honorable will be honored and the disgraceful will be disgraced. Allah will honor the honorable with Islam and he will disgrace the disgraceful with unbelief.”[3] In another narration, reported by Thawbān (rA), “Indeed, Allah gathered up the earth for me so that I saw its east and its west; and indeed the dominion of my nation will reach what was gathered up for me from it.”[4] The fact that these predictions were made at a time when Muslims were a powerless handful, and Islam was expected to be buried in its cradle, is nothing short of miraculous. At that point, presuming that the faith would even survive would be considered by most nothing short of a pipe-dream. But to predict that Islam would not just survive, but grow to thrive globally, was at that point inconceivable. For us nowadays, witnessing a quarter of this planet’s population as subscribers to Islam makes it clear that this was no presumption, but instead another prophecy inspired by the Divine. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ foretold a multitude of Muslim conquests, including those of Rome, Persia, Egypt, Yemen, India, and Constantinople. None of these prophecies were described vaguely or with equivocation, but rather with an air of absolute certainty. Jābir b. ‘Abdillāh (rA) reports that while digging the trench outside Madinah to repel an approaching army, a massive boulder obstructed them that no ax would break. With time running out, and with people’s fears and hunger eating away at them, the Prophet ﷺ walked over and picked up the ax. He said, “Bismillah (In God’s name),” and hammered the boulder, reducing a chunk of it to rubble. He said, “Allāhu Akbar (God is Great)! I have been given the keys to Shām; I can see its red palaces at this very moment.” Then he shattered another chunk and said, “Allāhu Akbar (God is Great)! I have been given the keys to Persia; I can see Madain’s white palace.” Then he shattered the last chunk and said, “Allāhu Akbar (God is Great)! I have been given the keys to Yemen. By Allah, I can see the Gates of Sana‘a at this very moment from here.”[10] Regarding Egypt, he ﷺ took its conquest for granted, knowing his Lord’s promise was true. Abu Dharr (rA) narrated: The Prophet ﷺ said: “You will certainly conquer Egypt; a land in which [a currency] called al-qīrâṭ is customary. When you conquer it, be gracious to its people, for they are entitled to a covenant and [the right of] family bonds. And when you see two men disputing over the place of a brick, then leave [Egypt].”[11] The Prophet ﷺ accurately spoke in the second person here, foretelling that none other than his personal Companions would conquer Egypt. Then he ﷺ instructed them to honor their peace treaty with the Egyptians and reminded them that their grandmother (Hājar; the mother of Ishmael) was from this land. In this same narration, Abu Dharr (rA) adds, “I witnessed ‘Abdur-Raḥmān b. Shuraḥbīl b. Ḥasana and his brother, Rabī‘a, disputing [in Egypt] over the place of a brick, so I left.” Regarding Constantinople, which is presently called Istanbul, the Prophet ﷺ determined that it would become a Muslim land nearly a millennium prior to that happening. ‘Abdullāh b. ‘Amr (rA) reports that they were once sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and writing, he ﷺ was asked, “Which city will be liberated first; Constantinople or Rome?” He said, “Indeed, the city of Heraclius will be liberated first,”[12] meaning Constantinople. An entire 800 years later, the Ottoman sultan, Muhammad al-Fātiḥ, accomplished this great feat. In another hadith, “Constantinople will certainly be liberated, and how excellent a leader will its leader be, and how excellent an army that army will be.”[13] Some scholars hold that this second hadith may refer to a second liberation of Constantinople which was also prophesied, but has not yet taken place. Regarding how material prosperity will be a sign of the end-times, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “And if you see the barefoot, naked, shepherds of camels competing [for praise] in the construction of high-rise buildings, then this is from among the signs [of the Hour].”[46] In a similar hadith about this egotism infesting the mosque atmosphere, he ﷺ said, “The Hour will not commence before people boast of their mosques.” Ibn ‘Abbās (rA), the narrator, added, “You will ornament your mosques just as the Jews and Christians did with their temples.”[47] This intense competition will involve exploitation of others, and thus we find parallel prophecies of hedonism and exploitation in the prophetic tradition as well. In the hadith of Miswar b. Makhrama (rA): “By Allah I do not fear poverty overtaking you, but I fear that you will have abundant wealth at your disposal as it became at the disposal of the nations before you, causing you to compete in it as they competed in it, and then it destroys you as it destroyed them.”[

Historical evidence of existence of Prophet Muhammad from Muslim and non-muslim sources
Doctrina Iacobi Nuper Baptizati, 13-20 AH / 634-640 CE.
Written by a Christian apologist, this anti-Jewish tract illuminates the story of the forced conversion of a Palestinian Jewish merchant named Jacob to Christianity. After reading the scriptures, instead of resenting his forced baptism, he recognises the truth of his newly found faith and is eager to share his experience with other Jews. Though it is quite clear this is a fictitious account designed for apologetic purposes, the historical details of contemporary events accurately recounted by the anonymous author reveals some quite startling information - the appearance of a new Prophet among the Saracens.
When the candidatus was killed by the Saracens, I was at Caesarea and I set off by boat to Sykamina. People were saying "the candidatus has been killed," and we Jews were overjoyed. And they were saying that the prophet had appeared, coming with the Saracens, and that he was proclaiming the advent of the anointed one, the Christ who was to come. I, having arrived at Sykamina, stopped by a certain old man well-versed in scriptures, and I said to him: "What can you tell me about the prophet who has appeared with the Saracens?" He replied, groaning deeply: "He is false, for the prophets do not come armed with a sword. Truly they are works of anarchy being committed today and I fear that the first Christ to come, whom the Christians worship, was the one sent by God and we instead are preparing to receive the Antichrist. Indeed, Isaiah said that the Jews would retain a perverted and hardened heart until all the earth should be devastated. But you go, master Abraham, and find out about the prophet who has appeared." So I, Abraham, inquired and heard from those who had met him that there was no truth to be found in the so-called prophet, only the shedding of men's blood. He says also that he has the keys of paradise, which is incredible.[18]
This source vies with the following two texts detailed below, viz., A Record Of The Arab Conquest Of Syria, 637 CE and Thomas The Presbyter, c. 640 CE, as being amongst the very earliest non-Islamic sources to mention Prophet Muḥammad. Furthermore, this is the earliest text to ascribe to his teachings an explicit religious motivation.[19]
A Record Of The Arab Conquest Of Syria, 15-16 AH / 637 CE.
This much faded note is preserved on folio 1 of BL Add. 14,461, a codex containing the Gospel according to Matthew and the Gospel according to Mark. This note appears to have been penned soon after the battle of Gabitha (636 CE) at which the Arabs inflicted a crushing defeat of the Byzantines. Wright was first to draw attention to the fragment and suggested that "it seems to be a nearly contemporary notice",[20] a view which was also endorsed by Nöldeke.[21] The purpose of jotting this note in the codex appears to be commemorative as the author appears to have realized how momentous the events of his time were. The words "we saw" are positive evidence that the author was a contemporary. The author also talks about olive oil, cattle, ruined villages, suggesting that he belonged to peasant stock, i.e., parish priest or a monk who could read and write. It is worthwhile cautioning that the condition of the text is fragmentary and many of the readings unclear or disputable. The lacunae are supplied in square brackets.
... and in January, they took the word for their lives (did) [the sons of] Emesa [i.e., Ḥimṣ)], and many villages were ruined with killing by [the Arabs of] Muḥammad and a great number of people were killed and captives [were taken] from Galilee as far as Bēth [...] and those Arabs pitched camp beside [Damascus?] [...] and we saw everywhe[re...] and o[l]ive oil which they brought and them. And on the t[wenty six]th of May went S[ac[ella]rius]... cattle [...] [...] from the vicinity of Emesa and the Romans chased them [...] and on the tenth [of August] the Romans fled from the vicinity of Damascus [...] many [people] some 10,000. And at the turn [of the ye]ar the Romans came; and on the twentieth of August in the year n[ine hundred and forty-]seven there gathered in Gabitha [...] the Romans and great many people were ki[lled of] [the R]omans, [s]ome fifty thousand [...][22]
There are certain observations to be made here. The phrase "turn of the year" signifies that the beginning of the note refers to the year 634-5 CE. The people of Emesa "took the word for their lives", an expression for surrendering on terms of tolerance, confirmed by oaths. Then there was a battle in Palestine with the "Arabs of Muhammad" in which many villages were ruined and people from the region of Galilee and Beth Sacharya(?), south west of Jerusalem were taken captive. Then the Arabs laid siege to Damascus (as read by Nöldeke).[23] In May, 635 CE, a Byzantine general of the rank of sakellarious was in the region of Emesa. His name according to the Byzantine sources was Theodor.[24] Apparently, he was unable to lift the siege. The next battle took place in Gabitha, a town to the north of the river Yarmuk in the Golan massif. The date of the battle is 20th August AG 947 = 636 CE / Rajab 15 AH, which agrees with the best Arab date for the battle of Yarmuk.[25] As mentioned earlier, the fragmentary nature of this note has resulted in scholars advising caution.[26]
Thomas The Presbyter, 19 AH / 640 CE.
The 8th century BL Add. 14,643 was published by Wright who first brought to attention the mention of an early date of 947 AG (635-6 CE).[27] The contents of this manuscript have puzzled many scholars for apparent lack of coherence as it contains an assembly of texts with diverse nature.[28] In relation to Islam and Muslims, there are two important dates mentioned in this manuscript.
AG 945, indiction VII: On Friday, 4 February, [i.e., 634 CE / Dhul Qa‘dah 12 AH] at the ninth hour, there was a battle between the Romans and the Arabs of Muḥammad [Syr. tayyāyē d-Mḥmt] in Palestine twelve miles east of Gaza. The Romans fled, leaving behind the patrician YRDN (Syr. BRYRDN), whom the Arabs killed. Some 4000 poor villagers of Palestine were killed there, Christians, Jews and Samaritans. The Arabs ravaged the whole region.
AG 947, indiction IX: The Arabs invaded the whole of Syria and went down to Persia and conquered it; the Arabs climbed mountain of Mardin and killed many monks there in [the monasteries of] Kedar and Benōthō. There died the blessed man Simon, doorkeeper of Qedar, brother of Thomas the priest.[29]
It is the first date above which is of great importance as it provides the first explicit reference to Muhammad in a non-Muslim source. The account is usually identified with the battle of Dathin.[30] According to Hoyland, "its precise dating inspires confidence that it ultimately derives from first-hand knowledge".[31] This means that the time period between the death of Muhammad (June, 632 CE) and the earliest mention of him (4th February, 634 CE) is slightly over a year and half!
Jerusalem 32 - An Inscription Mentioning Witnessing By Three Disciples Of Prophet Muḥammad, 32 AH / 652 CE.
... dhimmat Allāh wa ḍamān rasūlih.
... the protection of God and guarantee of His Messenger.
Sebeos, Bishop Of The Bagratunis, 40’s AH / 660’s CE.
One of the most interesting accounts of the early seventh century comes from Sebeos who was a bishop of the House of Bagratunis. From this chronicle, there are indications that he lived through many of the events he relates. He maintains that the account of Arab conquests derives from the fugitives who had been eyewitnesses thereof. He concludes with Mu‘awiya's ascendancy in the Arab civil war (656-61 CE), which suggests that he was writing soon after this date. Sebeos is the first non-Muslim author to present us with a theory for the rise of Islam that pays attention to what the Muslims themselves thought they were doing.[32] As for Muhammad, he has the following to say:
At that time a certain man from along those same sons of Ismael, whose name was Mahmet [i.e., Muḥammad], a merchant, as if by God's command appeared to them as a preacher [and] the path of truth. He taught them to recognize the God of Abraham, especially because he was learnt and informed in the history of Moses. Now because the command was from on high, at a single order they all came together in unity of religion. Abandoning their vain cults, they turned to the living God who had appeared to their father Abraham. So, Mahmet legislated for them: not to eat carrion, not to drink wine, not to speak falsely, and not to engage in fornication. He said: 'With an oath God promised this land to Abraham and his seed after him for ever. And he brought about as he promised during that time while he loved Ismael. But now you are the sons of Abraham and God is accomplishing his promise to Abraham and his seed for you. Love sincerely only the God of Abraham, and go and seize the land which God gave to your father Abraham. No one will be able to resist you in battle, because God is with you.[33]
Sebeos was writing the chronicle at a time when memories of sudden eruption of the Arabs was fresh. He knows Muhammad's name and that he was a merchant by profession. He hints that his life was suddenly changed by a divinely inspired revelation.[34] He presents a good summary of Muhammad's preaching, i.e., belief in one God, Abraham as a common ancestor of Jews and Arabs. He picks out some of the rules of behaviour imposed on the umma; the four prohibitions which are mentioned in the Qur'an. Much of what he says about the origins of Islam conforms to the Muslim tradition click link for more info

    Finding and Following Jesus:
The Muslim Claim to the Messiah Jesus was “God’s word conveyed to Mary and a spirit from him” (Qur’an 4:171) but he remained only the son of Mary (Qur’an 5:110), not of God. The Qur’an understands literally the notion of a son and therefore rejects a consort for God (Qur’an 6:101; 72:3) who has no son, only honored servants (Qur’an 21:26). There are no saviors, only prophets who warn. Nor are there any intercessors-unless God wills otherwise. He alone has the power to forgive sins and to answer His creatures’ prayers for help and guidance.Yesous Yeshu‘a, rendered ‘Joshua’ in English. The Hebrew original contains the idea of being a savior. ‘Isa has no meaning in Arabic or in Hebrew and its use might startle Christians since they expect Yeshu‘a or Yesu‘a to be the relevant Arabic transliteration. God made Jesus and his mother ayah) for humanity, a mercy (rahmah) from God, his miraculous birth “a matter foreordained” (Qur’an 19:21). Muslims proclaim Jesus as a sign of God (ayatu Allah) for all humanity (Qur’an 19:21) but not a (or the) son of God. The Qur’an also calls Muhammaﷺrahmah to all the worlds (21:107) and eulogizes the Word of God as a mercy and healing for believers (17:82; 41:44). The Greek Christos (anointed one) is a translation of the Hebrew meshiakh, meaning someone selected for a sacred role or special honor. It can refer to any chosen or regal personage. Al-Masih is probably an Arabic transliteration of the Hebrew. But what does al-Masih mean or intend in the Qur’an? The Arabic verb ma/sa/ha, like its virtually identical Hebrew cognate, means to rub lightly with water or oil; formal washings before Muslim ritual prayers require this light touch or anointment with water (Qur’an 5:6). The Qur’an’s description of Jesuعليهالسلامal-Masih ‘Isa ibn Maryam (3:45). In Judaism, ‘the Christ’ functions as an indefinite description since the identity of the true claimant must be distinguished from false pretenders. The referent of the phrase remains disputed: Jews are still waiting for the messiah. In first-century Palestine, the messiah’s lineage and identity were topics of fierce sectarian dispute. The self-segregated Qumran community expected two messiahs, one royal (of Davidic descent) and one priestly. In prophecy, an indefinite description is made partly definite; a proper name may or may not supplement the title. Thus, “His name is Ahmad” (Qur’an 61:6) can function as an attributive adjectival appellation or merely a proper (nominal or content-less) name while “His name is John” ( Yahya; Qur’an 19:7) simply introduces a proper name. The Qur’an denies the crucifixion (4:157), a fact that further defines the Messiah. God would not permit such a one to die a shameful death. In later Muslim piety, Jesu was ‘translated,’ a technical Christian term for describing ascent into heaven, without the normal precondition of bodily death. Allah exalted Jesus to himself. The Qur’an’s denial of Jesus’ crucifixion obviates the need for his resurrection but the Islamic scripture attests to Jesus’ ascension, understood as his miraculous entry into heaven through God’s direct intervention (see Qur’an 3:55; 4:157-8; 5:116-117). Only Luke mentions the Ascension of the risen Christ (24:50-51) after his resurrection and adds in Acts (1:1-3) that this event took place forty days after his resurrection. (Mark 16:19 mentions it too but this passage is absent from the most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses.) IV. The New Testament Jesus in the Light of the Qur’an The New Testament writers considered Jesus to be the messianic descendant of King David . For Christians, Jesus’ humiliating death was simply a fulfillment of divine prophecy: he was innocent of the accusations made against him by the establishment. While claiming that Muhammad’s advent was promised in antecedent scripture, the Qur’an never calls Jesus the promised messiah. This may be because the Qur’an recognizes at best only the Torah (Pentateuch of Moses) as scripture. For Jews, the Masoretic text of the Hebrew Bible, what Christians effectively dismiss as the ‘Old’ Testament, has three levels of holiness. After the Torah, the prophetic oracles quoting direct divine speech form the second holiest portion, the Nebi’im (Prophets) division. The messianic prophecies are concentrated here but, as in the third portion, the Ketub’im (Writings), much of this prophetic material is humanly composed and has been partly corrupted in transmission and through unauthorized scribal amplification. al-Injil) to confirm the Torah (al-Taurah). The Qur’an reveals that the Gospel vouchsafed to Jesus was a relaxed version of the Torah (Qur’an 3:50). Some laws imposed on the Children of Israel seemed prejudicially rigorous but, the Qur’an explains, these laws were intended to be conspicuously rigorous-as a just punishment for their specific iniquities and persistent delinquencies (Qur’an 6:146). However, the Qur’an does not suggest that the Gospel was a law-free version of the Torah or in some way legally or morally superior to it. The Qur’an concurs with the sum verdict of Matthew’s gospel: Jesu Abba (heavenly Father) scandalized his Pharisee critics. The Jesus of the Qur’an enjoys a close relationship with God, despite not addressing him as Father. So long as the believer does not obliterate his or her identity but remains distinct from God, Islam salutes the closeness of such mystical piety. The Qur’an speaks of the signs of God in nature and human nature (3:190; 30:20-25). John’s gospel, too, sees the actions of Jesu In the Qur’an and the Prophet’s canonical sayings, al-Masih is the Lord’s anointed, an accolade conferred uniquely on Jesus Islam pays special tribute to Jesus but not in a way that would satisfy the highly ambitious credal and ecclesial requirements of orthodox Christology. For Christians, the Muslim Jesus is a dull, predictable figure, a mere prophet, of whom there are legion in the Bible and the Qur’an. He would resemble the harmless figure of the cultural Jesus whose message can entertain kids at Christmas and Easter. This may sound like a caricature or parody of the Qur’anic Jesus but the Christian point is that only the adult version is the real Jesus, the incarnate God who suffered on a cross to secure redemption for sinful Adam and all his descendants. The Islamic Jesus appears as the real Jesus but minus the distinctive and unsettling aspects of his life, nature, and mission. as a miraculously created being, appointed a prophet and messiah, the seal of the prophets of Israel, and essentially no more. Otherwise, the Christological deadlock shall remain permanent. For Muslims, the Jesus of Christian faith will remain a divisive figure whose mission cannot provide a basis for genuinely harmonious coexistence among the adherents of the Semitic trio of revealed faiths. The Qur’an envisages these three groups disputing in front of their Lord on the day of resurrection (Qur’an 5:48).Muslims are religiously obliged to demonstrate that Jesus himself preached only a pure monotheism. Only then can we prove that the Muslim Jesus was the true leader of the Jesus movement. No Muslim can take as a leader someone who rejects or compromises strict Abrahamic monotheism. This is an essential qualification for anyone who claims to be a leader or exemplar for Muslims. entertained the prevalent Jewish view, he would have seen his role as that of a revolutionary, a zealous prophet and a human messiah who would deliver the Jews from the political bondage of Gentile nations. Christian tradition has bestowed countless honorific titles on Jesus who, as Christ, enjoys the role of messiah, naturally, but also prophet, priest, and king. According to Christian doctrine, during Christ’s divinely willed but humanly accepted humiliation on earth, he was a mere servant under the law, voluntarily divested of his regal divine majesty; in his later exaltation as Lord, after the resurrection from the dead, he rose above the law. Leaving aside the Muslim caveat that Allah would never humiliate his messenger, did Jesus proclaim himself the Son of God and/or God? . Objective historical and critical scholarship on Jesus for the past 100 years confirms the truth of the Qur’anic portrait as both converge on a Jewish Jesus. Islam is not annexing or colonizing the Christian Jesus, merely rescuing the historical character from the clutches of later church conjecture and dogma. Christians are called to change and meet Muslims on Muslim ground since the entire Qur’an is unchanged and unchangeable. By contrast, both testaments of the Bible are widely acknowledged by Jewish and Christian scholars themselves to be mainly edicts that evolved over centuries, under human if inspired redaction, the texts being, in the case of the New Testament, in demotic Greek while reporting the classical Aramaic speech of Jesus

      Gen 1:27.
"And God made man according to His image and likeness and gave them authority".
That got lost through the fall of man.
But is freely returned by Jesus Holy Blood and Holy Spirit IN us.
The Gospels were written by man like you and me. Eyewitnesses that saw God walking this earth in Christ. Healing all, raising the dead, casting out demons, controlling nature. He said:
"If you see Me, you see the Father. The Father and I are one. You will understand that the Father is IN me and I am IN you. I will send Holy Spirit, the same as Me, He will be IN you, guide you into truth and will give you power. The same miracles I do, you will do too, etc ,etc".
It is in John 14 up to 17.
It is the ultimate conclusion of Gods word.
Jesus, born by the Spirit of God, filled with the Spirit of God....... God manifested on earth in a human body.
      Completely normal btw.
In Genesis He made man according to His own image and likeness. So what's the big fuzz that Jesus could not be the exact image of God in the flesh? He just is.
Evenmore. Now by His Spirit we transform back to the same image! Hence the countless miracles i already have experienced.
      God has come full circle!
"As in the first Adam ALL died (lost the divine nature), so also ALL were made alive IN Christ to walk in Zoë = divine life again." Rom 5:18
The divine life the first Adam let go of has been freely returned to us by Christ's blood and Spirit.
Because your imams never understood this, they mock, scoff, put it down, contradict it.... leading you away from your true identity in God. Heartbreaking.
Same happens in Christianity btw. Most Christians think it is all about trying to do good, dodging hell and going to heaven some day.
Heaven already came down in Spiritform, for you to be indwelled by, be changed and walk in unselfish divine power and love.
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [emancipation from bondage, true freedom]. And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed *into His image* from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit."
      2 Corinthians 3:17‭-‬18 AMP

    Concept of God in Islam
Monotheism, belief in one God, is the most important and foundational concept in Islam. Muslims believe in one God who created the universe and has power over everything within it. He is unique and exalted above everything He creates, and His greatness cannot be compared to His creation. Furthermore, He is the only one deserving of any worship and the ultimate purpose of all creation is to submit to Him. The Islamic understanding of God is distinct from all other religions and beliefs in various respects since it is based on a pure and clear understanding of monotheism. This essentially captures the concept of God in Islam, which will be further elaborated in this pamphlet.
Muslims often refer to God as Allah. This is a universal name for God and does not refer to an exclusively ‘Islamic’ God. Interestingly, this name is related to the Aramaic and Hebrew names for God, Allaha and Elohim. Therefore, Allah is simply the Arabic name for God which affirms that He is One singular God with no partners or equals. The name Allah cannot be pluralized or limited to a specific gender, which establishes that God is One and that He is unique from everything He creates. Muslims continue to use this original Arabic name for God (Allah) since it perfectly expresses His unique qualities.
God is the Creator and the Sustainer of the universe who created everything for a reason. Muslims believe that He created humankind with a simple purpose - to worship Him. He sent messengers to guide people in fulfilling this purpose. Some of these messengers include Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, peace be upon all of them. They all taught a consistent message about God by affirming His greatness as the Creator and guiding people to worship Him alone. This basic concept has always resonated with people’s natural understanding of God. (Click here to learn more about prophets in Islam.)
When the final prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him (pbuh), was asked about God, the answer came directly from God in the holy book of Muslims, the Quran (also spelled ‘Koran’): “Say, ‘He is God the One, God the eternal. He begot no one nor was He begotten. No one is comparable to Him.’” [112:1-4] This is a clear statement by God describing Himself to humanity without any room for confusion. God is One and is exalted above everything He creates and He is capable over all things.
Fully accepting the oneness of God is to accept that He is distinct from everything else. It would not suit God’s majesty and glory to associate the limited attributes of His creation to Him because He is not restricted in any way, while His creation is. He is the First with no beginning and the Last with no end. Everything in the universe was created by His will. He is not confined by space or time and He is the only One who is in control and provides for His creation.
“He is God: there is no god other than Him. It is He who knows what is hidden as well as what is in the open, He is the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy. He is God: there is no god other than Him, the Controller, the Holy One, Source of Peace, Granter of Security, Guardian over all, the Almighty, the Compeller, the Truly Great; God is far above anything they consider to be His partner. He is God: the Creator, the Originator, the Shaper. The best names belong to Him. Everything in the heavens and earth glorifies Him: He is the Almighty, the Wise.” [Quran, 59:22-24]
Why did God create people whom He already knew would reject Him and go to hell? Shouldn’t God who is All Loving instead not create them so that they won’t go through punishment? These are some common questions connected to this topic. Answered by Nouman Ali Khan
    Pure Monotheism
“God: there is no god but Him, the Ever Living, the Ever Watchful. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. All that is in the heavens and in the earth belongs to Him. Who is there that can intercede with Him except by His leave? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, but they do not comprehend any of His knowledge except what He wills. His throne extends over the heavens and the earth; it does not weary Him to preserve them both. He is the Most High, the Tremendous.” [Quran, 2:255]
The primary pillar of Islamic belief clearly states that there is nothing worthy of worship except God. Associating partners with God or attributing qualities of lesser beings to Him is considered to be the greatest sin in Islam.
In the past, this often took the form of idol worship or praying to multiple lesser gods. Although this is less common now, the current era has replaced many of the physical ‘idols’ of the past with other contemporary ‘gods.’ Many people today allow passions like entertainment, drugs, relationships or material objects to become the center of their lives. They become so consumed with these things that they submit to whatever will allow them to fulfill their desires. For example, if a drug addict allows their addiction to control their actions, beliefs, feelings, and behaviors, causing them to risk their personal safety and the safety of others, that drug has essentially become their god. Likewise, if another person puts a loved one before God by obeying that person even if that causes them to transgress against God’s commands, their loved one has taken precedence over God.
Islam teaches that people should completely submit only to God as He is the only One worthy of their worship. He is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe and everything in it belongs to Him. The Quran points out the faulty thinking of those who worship other than God:
“‘How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?’” [37:95-96]

A Mormon belief that strikes at the very heart of anyone practising one of the Abrahamic faiths
(Judaism, Christianity and Islam) is the insistence that Jesus is the Son of God in the most literal sense. He is the eldest brother of all mortals and the firstborn spirit child of God. They believe that from Mary, a mortal woman, Jesus inherited the capacity to die, and from God, an exalted being, he inherited the capacity to live forever.[5]
Consequently and based on what most Christians believe, the Mormon version of the Trinity is somewhat unusual. According to Mormons, the Trinity is a Godhead that consists of three separate, distinct beings, God the Father, also called Elohim, Jesus Christ, who is also the Jehovah of the Old Testament and the Holy Ghost. Mormons also believe that there is more than one God and that human beings have the potential to become gods.
Like a pendulum Mormon beliefs swing between what is accepted by mainstream Christian churches and their own peculiar mix of Christianity and visionary stories. According to research scientist and former Mormon Bishop, Simon G. Southerton[6], The Book of Mormon is based on the concept that Meso-America was an uninhabited land peopled by Jews who floated across the ocean in a boat that resembled two large dishes fastened together to form a hollow. Needless to say there is no historical or archaeological evidence to support this theory.
Nonetheless Mormons believe that the resurrected Jesus ministered to these people, called the Nephites. He appeared before a congregation in their temple, and allowed them to feel the wounds in his hands and feet. He stayed with them for several days, teaching and healing and ordained twelve disciples. He gave the people various commandments and presented them with the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Mormons earnestly believe that Jesus Christ began his restoration of his church on earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith in 1820. Joseph began having visions of restoring the church at age 14, and claimed to have the same teachings and basic organization as the Church established by Jesus in New Testament times. According to an LDS official website[7], “In 1823 Joseph Smith was visited by a heavenly messenger named Moroni just as angels often appeared to Apostles in the New Testament. Moroni told Joseph about a record of the ancient inhabitants of the American continent (the Nephites) that was buried in a nearby hill and was written on thin metal sheets of gold.” Joseph found the plates near his home in Palmyra, New York. With heavenly inspiration, because Joseph did not understand the “reformed Egyptian” language written on the plates, he translated the book into English. The book was named the Book of Mormon after the ancient prophet who compiled it.
Along with the Book of Mormon, Mormons believe the Bible is sacred and like Muslims they believe that the words of God found in the Bible are a mixture of truth and error because many have been changed, or forgotten. However the Mormon version is in no way acceptable to Islam. The Mormon sacred scripture also includes a book called The Pearl of Great Price, which includes two lost books of the Bible, a translation of the Gospel of Matthew, and the 13 Articles of Faith; and The Doctrine and Covenants, a group of 138 revelations from God and two other official

    Official written copy by Uthman
The Quran was originally revealed in Quraishi dialect of Arabic. But to facilitate the people who speak other dialects, in their understanding and comprehension, Allah revealed the Quran finally in seven dialects of Arabic. During the period of Caliph Uthman (third successor to the Prophet) differences in reading the Quran among the various tribes became obvious, due to the various dialectical recitations. Dispute was arising, with each tribe calling its recitation as the correct one. This alarmed Uthman, who made an official copy in the Quraishi dialect, the dialect in which the Quran was revealed to the Prophet and was memorized by his companions. Thus this compilation by Uthman's Committee is not a different version of the Quran (like the Biblical versions) but the same original revelation given to the Prophet by One God, Allah.
Narrated Anas bin Malik: Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman came to Uthman at the time when the people of Sham (Syria) and the people of Iraq were waging war to conquer Armenia and Azherbijan. Hudhaifa was afraid of their differences in the recitation of the Quran, so he said to Uthman, 'O chief of the Believers! Save this nation before they differ about the Book (Quran) as Jews and Christians did before'. So Uthman sent a message to Hafsa saying, 'Send us the manuscripts of the Quran so that we may compile the Quranic materials in perfect copies and return the manuscripts to you'. Hafsa sent it to Uthman. 'Uthman then ordered Zaid bin Thabit, 'Abdullah bin Az-Zubair, Said bin Al-As and Abdur Rahman bin Harith bin Hisham to rewrite the manuscripts in perfect copies. Uthman said to the three Quraishi men, 'In case you disagree with Zaid bin Thabit on any point in the Quran, then write it in their (Quraishi) tongue'. They did so, and when they had written many copies, Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied and ordered that all the other Quranic materials whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt…" [29]
Again a very stringent criteria was set up by this Committee to prevent any alteration of the Revelation.
    1. The earlier recension (Original copy prepared by Abu Bakr) was to serve as the principal basis of the new one. [30]
    2. Any doubt that might be raised as to the phrasing of a particular passage in the written text was to be dispelled by summoning persons known to have learned the passage in question from the Prophet. [31]
    3. Uthman himself was to supervise the work of the Council. [32]
When the final recension was completed, Uthman sent a copy of it to each of the major cities of Makka, Damascus, Kufa, Basra and Madina.
The action of Uthman to burn the other copies besides the final recension, though obviously drastic, was for the betterment and harmony of the whole community and was unanimously approved by the Companions of the Prophet.
Zaid ibn Thabit is reported to have said: "I saw the Companions of Muhammad (going about) saying, 'By God, Uthman has done well! By God, Uthman has done well!" [33]
Another esteemed Companion Musab ibn Sad ibn Abi Waqqas said: "I saw the people assemble in large number at Uthman's burning of the prescribed copies (of the Quran), and they were all pleased with his action; not a one spoke out against him". [34]
Ali ibn Abu Talib, the cousin of the Prophet and the fourth successor to the Prophet commented: "If I were in command in place of Uthman, I would have done the same". [35]
Of the copies made by Uthman, two still exist to our day. One is in the city of Tashkent, (Uzbekistan) and the second one is in Istanbul (Turkey). Below is a brief account of both these copies:
    1. The copy which Uthman sent to Madina was reportedly removed by the Turkish authorities to Istanbul, from where it came to Berlin during World War I. The Treaty of Versailles, which concluded World War I, contains the following clause:
'Article 246: Within six months from the coming into force of the present Treaty, Germany will restore to His Majesty, King of Hedjaz, the original Koran of Caliph Othman, which was removed from Madina by the Turkish authorities and is stated to have been presented to the ex-Emperor William II". [36]
'This manuscript then reached Istanbul, but not Madina (Where it now resides)'. [37]
    2. The second copy in existence is kept in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. 'It may be the Imam (master) manuscript or one of the other copies made at the time of Uthman'. [38]
It Came to Samarkand in 890 Hijra (1485) and remained there till 1868. Then it was taken to St.Petersburg by the Russians in 1869. It remained there till 1917. A Russian orientalist gave a detailed description of it, saying that many pages were damaged and some were missing. A facsimile, some 50 copies, of this mushaf (copy) was produced by S.Pisareff in 1905. A copy was sent to the Ottoman Sultan 'Abdul Hamid, to the Shah of Iran, to the Amir of Bukhara, to Afghanistan, to Fas and some important Muslim personalities. One copy is now in the Columbia University Library (U.S.A.). [39]
'The Manuscript was afterwards returned to its former place and reached Tashkent in 1924, where it has remained since'. [40]

DEMONSTRATION OF THE EXISTENCE AND ONENESS OF GOD
    1- introduction and divine uniqueness
    2-existence of God
    3-rules of application.
1- First of all, let us define reason and see its reliability: reason consists in understanding, ordering, prohibiting or administering through its distinction between good and evil to reach the reasonable one who serves and does not serve.
Let's see if reason is reliable:everyone of good reason confirms that reason is educated by its environment from a young age in order to distinguish good from evil, true from false,it starts with: fire or needle hurts, milk makes good, then truth and lie, with internal and external verification by experience, then we generalize to the extension of reason (like happiness and unhappiness) and to the abstract by returning from time to time to the experience of reason by recognized examples, so we can say that reason is reliable.
As for the ego, the self, it has its importance in my subject, because it compares and seeks (in cooperation with the reason) the ideal, the most powerful because the top is the most reasonable for him otherwise if a strong thing is not enough for him,he will get tired of it and look for something stronger than it, he'll be unhappy, in relative insecurity, because he's looking for the solid pillar, hence the expression "in myself something" to say that it's not satisfactory.
Definition of worship in religion: to submit oneself to a being or a thing by love and veneration, to believe that it is useful and harmful (we see the link with the definition of reason and its combination with the ego and that then we live to worship anything and in a correct and reasonable way we seek "summit" happiness (for the ego, the summit is the most satisfying for the heart-ego) through that being or that thing since we take the reasonable).
Definition of a god:a god is a being or a thing that we worship or is worshipful (worshipful=which deserves to be worshipped),we will be satisfied (this is the goal) to take the definition of a god as a being or a thing that is worshipful
Equivalence "a god" and "he is a creator (from nothing)":
A creator (from nothing) is a god: everything around us is made up of already existing elements, so creation from nothing is superior and it is the most impressive form of creation so it is summit (the heart and the ego confirm), so any creator from nothing is a god.
Every god is a creator: if a god was not a creator then he would not deserve to be a god because God the Necessary Being (see part 2) is a creator (the creator see 2), therefore superior to that god, therefore that god does not deserve (for reason and ego) to be a god, he does not bring anything more, hence every god is a creator.Hence the equivalence.
God the creator, the necessary being is the summit for the heart-ego: if he had a superior then that superior would be unknown, erased, moreover for the heart-ego it would imply that the necessary being is no longer a god (the heart-ego sees higher) therefore no longer a creator whereas it is the necessary being (contradiction) therefore that superior is not a god therefore is not a creator therefore God is uncreated and is at the summit.
God is unique: if there were two different gods (at the summit), then either their will is different, then either each god applies his will (as they are gods it applies to the whole universe (not erased god)) then it is impossible (if their will is different at the same point),seeing the universe as it is without defect, and it is harmonious( else:if the different will of each god at a same point applies we then have a form of contradiction, from which we have the same will (contraposition)) and If one of the two gods imposes his will on the other, then the other is weak and therefore is no longer a god (contradiction), so their will coincides on everything, so it means that one flatters (strokes) the other, so it makes the ego-heart feel a weakness of this god in its power, so is no longer a god, so there is only one god, or again: if the two gods have their will which coincides in every point ,then they constitute a god of their union but God being at the top (the ideal), an indivisible god who creates, possesses and administers everything by himself is more impressive than several gods together, hence God is unique in every case. This reasoning applies even if there is a universe we do not know, because God (worshipful) must act everywhere otherwise he is no longer a god.
    2-existence of God:
There is an administrator for the universe:any example:a palace hyper organized in decorations, arrangements, household,if you are told:this palace does not have a butler(administrator),you will answer:it is not possible that it happens by itself without anybody, your distinctive healthy reason rejects it (you are not crazy),therefore all the more so (a fortiori): (organization much, much better than the palace) all the organization and harmony of nature and the universe make you reject that there is no administrator for the whole universe (we can already say that it is unique, the cycles and others are the mark of the same author, for example nike is the mark of a single manufacturer, example of all the atoms of the universe same process therefore same mark therefore same author), so there is an administrator for the whole universe, and even it is obliged to think that otherwise it is chaos,. ..and many many other examples like the ship without a captain,... there is a creator of the universe: You see a humanoid walking around and you're told no one created him. You're not crazy. Your reason will reject that.So a fortiori, all the more so Your good reason will reject that man has no creator. So There is a creator of the universe, and so on throughout creation, but again the whole universe has the same mark (like nike), so the same author, so the creator is unique and the administration of his creation is the same (layout, arrangement of the way of creating) so the creator is the administrator. As He is unique, He is the great owner of the universe, and He is the one who makes the rules of the universe (such as the instructions of the electrical appliances (operation, maintenance), so it has been proved that the universe has one Lord (the Creator, the owner and the administrator) and He is the only one who deserves to be worshipped, so He is the only God. Otherwise, as God the Creator is at the top, He is also the owner and the administrator. All this is the domain of the reasonable and if you come out of it you are no longer in the reasonable (chaos).
Conclusion: Divine existence and oneness are then demonstrated by reason, but reason does not say everything that God wants from us, hence the prophets and messengers.
3- Application: The verse of the Qur'an that says that there is no god except Allah means that there is no one worthy of worship except Allah, so it means that there is no imperfection on any face, so the Qur'an, its word, has no imperfection since it is one of its characteristics and therefore one face of its perfection, Therefore, by the perfection of the Qur'an (read it in Arabic to see this reality and its explanation) and the uniqueness of the true (you must respect the rules of this book if you are honest) you must take the best interpretation of the verses and the Sunnah (path) of the Prophet (the Qur'an calls to follow the Prophet therefore apply his hadiths (hadiths=words in Arabic) and you must reconcile between the verses (of the Qur'an) and the verses, and verses/hadiths hadiths/hadiths (authentic) because the truth is quite unique and the best sought after is perfection (so correct yours intentions), for example the thief the penalty starts at 1/4 gold dinar, it costs (recently) 39€ for its weight in gold whereas a meal costs 5€, source: the pious predecessors (rule: the Koran says to follow the prophet and the prophet spoke of the first three generations which are the best and he said (ask your heart for clarification), and Allah calls in the Koran to the good and known between the good people (conciliation), etc,. .go on with the rest of the rules of Islam if you are honest (seek the best, perfection, truth, conciliation).
There are rules in Islam and if you don't follow them you find imperfections (which reflect your bad intention), while when you correct your intention you find perfection (it exists, scholars communicate it to each other, I have been reading books about Islam in Arabic for a long time, I testify and I testify that this perfection exists. Why don't you take it if it is possible and the rules of Islam are to take it, hence your attacks are unfounded since this is not what God and his prophet mean (i.e : your words that it is imperfection). ..

How Do We Know God Exists?
    Dr. Jamal Badawi
Even on a very fundamental level we find that throughout history there is a very strange phenomenon that people of different backgrounds, living in so many different parts of the world at different points in time, have always had this strong urge within themselves to look and to yearn for the Creator. They see that there is some power, a magnificent and merciful power that is sometimes interpreted in a mistaken way by materializing that in some form or other (i.e. idols). The basic yearning has always been there. Even in places where there is no recorded history of a particular prophet, people have yearned for a Creator. That’s what I’m referring to as an innate nature. The Arabic term is ‘fitra.’ Fitra literally translates to: something that one is created with or created in accordance with: this innate nature.
Is the intellect an enemy to faith?
All human faculties such as the senses including also the intellect are part and parcel of the whole process of seeking the truth. None of these by themselves will be sufficient, but on a whole they are not really in contradiction. In fact I would say, even more positively, that from a Muslim point of view one of the main things that make the human being distinct, one of the basic blessings that he is given by God to make him different from animals since animals can think as well, is intellect. So the intellect is a God given gift or blessing. How could we interpret that as a challenge or antithesis of faith? This doesn’t really stand.
On the personal or individual level, one doesn’t have to venture far to realize that God does exist. Just look into yourself, you don’t have to be a scientist but if you are then you’ll appreciate more the construction of the body; how it is made up of many cells. One cell becomes a cell for sight and the other for hearing; it’s amazing. How does the brain operate? The circulatory system? The digestive system? The nervous system? Such coordination and beauty [is shown through their functioning]. This shows that these things didn’t come to be in a haphazard way, there must have been a deliberate design behind them. So if you want to find God then look into yourself. The Quran says, “By looking into yourselves, you will find evidence to the presence and powers of God.”
In another verse it even says, “Do they not reflect in their own minds?” (30:8) In fact, if one really divorces himself from any prejudice caused by societal pressures one way or the other, or the worship of science as the ultimate thing, if one utilizes science in the proper way, you wouldn’t have to look at the body as a whole, just start analyzing one single organ and see how it works. Like some scientists would tell you that in order to duplicate the digestive system you’d need a huge laboratory and still it wouldn’t operate as efficiently as a naturally created organ would such as the stomach. We have acids in our stomachs that can erode metal but it doesn’t hurt us. How could that be haphazard? If one aspect of that was developed by chance would everything else falling in line and falling together also happen by chance? (Learn more: Quran and Science)
    The Environment and Cosmic Order
Let’s move on to beyond ourselves, to find further evidence, the Quran also implores people to consider and to think. Take one aspect that many people think about today as very fashionable, like the ecological balance for example. Many people would take that as very clear evidence again that there is a design in this universe; vegetation as it relates to animal life and to human life; and the various atmospheric layers that we have. Everything is put together to sustain human life. If you look into the Quran, you find this mentioned. In one verse, in the Quran, it says, “God created everything in exact proportion.” (16:25) This is a very important term “in exact proportion” it’s not just that He created but that there is a deliberate design behind putting all of these things together.
In another verse, when people look at the whole scheme of creation, it says, “Were they created from nothing or are they themselves the creators?” No one claims that he’s created from nothing nor can he claim that he is the creator [of the heavens and earth]. Then the verse continues, “Or did they create the heavens and earth?” No one claims that. Then it says, “Nay but they see not.” (52: 35-36) So the science is there. It’s whether we apply it in the right place and in the proper way or not that makes the difference.
Finally, if you move into what I would call the third circle, not just looking into ourselves or the environment around us but looking into the whole cosmic order, again there is a design. The planets. The solar system. The way everything is coordinated. The distance between the sun and the earth, which if decreased may burn everything and if decreased everything would freeze. This is all deliberate. The succession of day and night, the circulation or changes of seasons, which has very important relevance to the lives of the people, to vegetation, and to animal life; all of these beautiful things that we are in awe at in the universe, we look at them with great admiration, definitely show that there is a design behind them and as is obvious any design needs a designer or creator it. (Read more: Environment and Islam)
One verse in the Quran implores us in particular to this area and says, “Have they not reflected on the domain of the heavens and earth and what God created therein?”
In another verse it also says, in the general sense of the meaning: in the creation of the heavens and earth and in the succession of day and night there are certainly signs for those who reflect. Those who remember God while standing, sitting, and laying down and ponder on the creation of the heavens and the earth, saying: Our Lord you have not created this in vain. Glory be to You. Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire. (3: 190-191)
    Our Own Limitations
In talking about the senses and the intellect or knowledge, I think anyone, even a person who does not believe in God, would admit readily that our senses are limited. Our perceptions are limited. Our sight, hearing, etc- we know that. Also, we know that our perceptions could also be deceived or they can deceive us. If you put a spoon in a glass of water, it looks crooked. A very well known phenomenon is of people traveling in the desert or in hot areas and would see in front of them a lake or a puddle of water- the mirage- but it actually does not exist. At the time it’s seen it is a reality to the person seeing it. So our perception is very useful, but it still falls short of getting to know everything.
On the other hand, science is fine. Science can resolve many issues and problems that are purely scientific- that are purely technical. Science can tell you for sure how to use technology for example to communicate sounds and pictures; this can be determined fully by science. However, there are many aspects in lives of people that are beyond science also. There is the moral aspect, there are the ethical standards, and there is the application of the fundamental principal of good and bad. As we said the [principle of good and bad] is instinctive but still needs some modifications and limitations. And we know throughout history that people have always had differences as to what exactly defines the proper ethical or moral standards. In order to resolve that problem, there must be a higher authority, God, Himself, telling us and providing us with stable standards of ethics and morality within which you can interpret various details.
Finally, and perhaps this is in my mind the most important reason, is that we know that knowledge is not only limited to science or books or perception. We know that there are certain aspects of knowledge, legitimate knowledge, which does not lend itself to any of those tools. For example, take the knowledge of the unseen. What happened in the past before history was recorded? If you wanted to get any information on that there is no recorded history. Or at least there is dispute about the recorded history. Revelation can tell you what, for example, the stories of previous prophets and what they said and what their message was. (Click here to read The Need for Revelation.)
There are issues that no matter how much you use your mind you will not be able to arrive at a final conclusion. An example of that would be the knowledge about God. You can’t feel the presence of God. You can feel the attributes of God but you can’t have full knowledge without having a prophet or messenger in receiving that revelation from God and the communication from Him to us. So, in essence, I don’t see contradiction. Actually, they all supplement each other. They have to be simply used in the proper context.

No, STONING-to-DEATH was an Old Testament law, in the book of Leviticus, later revived by the Koran (alongside other options), as you were correctly saying, Dr. Naik. Why did you change track, midway, knowing full well that no violence is allowed in Christ's teachings? -- although, of course, misguided Christians have done violence (as have the adherents of all faiths) in historical times.
Good point: Khomeini's fatwa was only a political gimmick. But who was the US author banned in UK for using the 4-letter word against Margaret Thatcher ("Mrs. Torture" in Rushdie's satire): you're usually so forthcoming with details, why wouldn't you name him? Never heard of any such case. Your erudition, sir, is admirable; but distorting it to convince the less learned?
