My first time ever playing this game was in college. It was like, the first month of classes and one of the computer labs had been setup to run a LAN party, with pretty much every computer running DoD. I hopped on one, and played it for like an hour. I was the guy running into corners and getting completely lost on the map because I had never played a first person shooter before, let alone a Valve FPS. Still I say, those are good memories.
But we need another one! They had Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal 2, Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike Global Offensive, so why not Day of Defeat Source 2?
I used to have a macro that grabbed the name of whoever I was looking at. When I snuck up behind a guy I'd key it and flash the chat with "ATTENTION (player name)! You are about the be knifed and/or spaded!" Then I'd give them a second to react or come out of prone and then I'd whack them.
I love how STAR_/ster/Niichts/Steve (I dunno, but probably true, cuz every second white American is named Steve, FACT) just casually said that he will just go and kill Jerma's entire team and pretty much did so.
Did you know that day of defeat is running on goldsrc engine? Goldsrc engine is older than source engine. If you though this is day of defeat source then i'm sorry.

before all the cods, before all the bfs, we had DOD. marvel at it's matrimony peasants, because in my opinion, this is better, more fun, and more exciting than any of the new cods and bfs coming out.Especially on the d-day map which i love for its strategic bipod placments, stealth, and a much ore realistic take on the tragic even than the cods and bfs. Long live dod.
