the Tal Shiar are currently living in my neighborhood. they try to come through my bedroom window at night and I'm all like "shoo shoo go away Tal Shiar"
The episode with Troi as a Romulan was fantastic. Presumably Troi would have been fluent in the language to get away as a spy. 😉 I thought the Romulan captain was great, would have loved to seen her character developed and explored.
frictionRx5 Correct. The actress is Carolyn Seymour. She played 4 different characters in Star Trek. Captain Toreth in the episode with Troi, Captain Taris in the episode about Iconia, Minister Mirasta Yale in TNG: First Contact and Mrs. Templeton in VGR: Cathexis & Persistence of Vision.
Decided after the Picard release that I'd brush up on some Romulan lore (honestly who doesn't love Romulans?), so glad I found this video/channel! I'm probably going to be bingeing this between episodes.
I love the episode with the Prometheus! I know, it isn't a popular one for most Trek fans but I love it and very much appreciate you putting the very significant reference in your background. The editing must take hours! Thank you for all your time in putting these together, man. It's no mean feat!
No more or less possible then anything else... Thus NO one would know anything if they play STO :P As a side note im only teasing you really... Yes it isnt canon etc, but it's not really that big of a deal however most likely nothing from STO will EVER show up in the Picard Series. To do so CBS would then have to pay royalties along with buying the rights to the stories they own, that wont happen as it would be a bad business decision! :)
The Two Shiar also seems to be a similar outfit structurally (not tactically) equivalent to the Vulcan V'Shar whose exploits in Archer's time seemed to make the Vulcans almost as dangerous (think P'Jem and the intelligence unit spying on Andor). Also, these intelligence units almost mirror the CIA/DHS and the former Soviet agency the KGB. How life imitates art. Is there also a Klingon equivalent? Or does their warrior philosophy prevent "spying" and opting instead to simply invade and destroy?
There had to be. It wouldn't make any sense for them not to have one. The Klingon Empire had scientific caste, a warrior caste, a legal caste, and etc... So it wouldn't be that of stretch to say they had intelligence branch too or branches. As for there warrior ethos of honor, I'm sure there variations of it that allowed each caste or class to attain honor even if it wasn't in battle, or else there society simply could not function.
Section 31 is not like the Tal Shiar. The Tal Shiar is at least part of the government of the Empire where as Section 31 is an illegal non-governmental organization.
Another great video. Keep up the good work
Thank you so much :) :) :)

Oh is THAT where they've went?!
Anything to do with Romulans is amazing, theyve always been my favorite Star Trek foe!
Yes one of mine as well... Looking forward to seeing them fully explored in the NEW Picard series :)
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios Do you think thats really a plot point? Ive seen a lot of info on that but I am curious.
Well it comes from the Show runner himself, so I do believe that the Romulans will feature :)
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios God I hope so, Im just terrified it will have a "Discovery" feel and I dont want that at all. I despise Discovery.
Personally I love the look of DSC but I dont think Stewart would have signed on if at the very least, the story wasnt going to be Epic!
I love how you're able to cross-reference a particular subject through various series and movies to make the cannon make sense. Great work!
Thank you so much, it's a LOT of work sometimes, but it's fun :)

LOL she MUST have been! :P
I think the same Romulan captain was in the show when Enterprise and her ship were both infected with an alien virus

She is an Excellent Character Actress!
TriAngulum Audio Studios Indeed. I wish she voiced Taris in Star Trek Online. Or maybe she could get a small role in Discovery?
Decided after the Picard release that I'd brush up on some Romulan lore (honestly who doesn't love Romulans?), so glad I found this video/channel! I'm probably going to be bingeing this between episodes.
Well thank you so much! I appreciate the support :)

That's the one where the two EMHs save the day, right? I didn't know it was unpopular, why was it unpopular?
Firing on all warp plasma emitters lately. Keep it up man.
LOL thank you so much :) LOL
I just love the way Star Trek mirrors our own human political machinations. You can almost always pinpoint what conflict they're referring to.
Ah! Another amazing Star Trek fact video.
Thank you so much :)
Loving this trek facts format, keep up the good work.
Thank you very much :) I will do my best :)
*puts on conspiracy hat
Tal Shiar faked Romulus destruction.
LOL LOL LOL
If you’ve played Star Trek Online... you would know 😉
Well since STO isnt Canon, you cant rely on those conspiracy theories :P
True, but it’s a possible future.

One of the more interesting/underexplored groups. I'm sure they have a richer tapestry then what we've seen good stuff👍
Im sure they do! Maybe the New Picard Series will give us a better view!
not even a stupid magical super nova can stop them.
Exactly!!!!
They just stepped through an Iconian gate👍
Boo on the alternative time line..I’ll take my trek straight up with no chaser..great video once again!
Thank you :)
Great video
Any chance that you'll do one on The Obsidian Order later on???
Thank you very much and yes I will be :) It's on the to do list :)
YES! TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER, GARAK JUST GARAK😎
What's the music in the beginning while you're showing the patrons?
Just royalty free UA-cam Music....
I guessed so, do you know which exactly?
No Sorry not off the top of my head
“The current status of the Tal Shihar is unknown”
ST Picard goes LOL
Great video! Can you do one on How the flying fuck shinzon came to power? I think that would be amusing 😎
Ill add it to the list!
Awesome video. To be honest, I don't know who's worse the Obesian Order or the Tal'Shar
That's a great question~ And thank you once again :)
Section 31
But apparently by the time of STNG Nemesis - they were no longer around... or did they support Shinzon?

Thank you!
The Tal Shiar would like to know your location. XD
You should do one on the Orions (the race).
Ill add it to the to do list :)
Trio was too good at faking it. All those years of providing therapy gave her the inner rage to perform.
Who's Trio? :P
Apple Autocorrect doesn’t like my badmouthing Troi...
LOL It's a Conspiracy! :P
So would you call Section 31more like the KGB?
Those new disintegration FXs LOOK SO FAKE!!! But the disintegration FXs from The Day the Earth Stood Still look way more realistic.
It’s a faaaaake!
LOL
A very human perspective.
Did I miss something, are you not human?
Section 31 is not like the Tal Shiar. The Tal Shiar is at least part of the government of the Empire where as Section 31 is an illegal non-governmental organization.
Sorry but they are MORE alike then different... 1 difference does NOT make them unalike!
IT'S A FAKE!
LOL
Great reference.
.
?
I just wanted to be the first comment, without putting "first" lol 🤣🤣🤣
LOL Oh LOL Well Grats on being first :P
Thank you 🤣🤣🤣 plus i subscribed a few weeks ago, keep up the great work on your videos 👍👍👍
Well thank you so much and ill try my best :)
