    Yearwood has the pipes to sing real Country music. The nineties was the "golden era" of Country music. It won't happen again. There were just so many great songs and singers it was best period of county music in my lifetime and I am 78.

      I just really got into country, myself.
      Been a classic rock girl, Deadhead, then East Coast Hardcore (USA), Janes Addiction, Violent Femmes, labor & political music, bluegrass (check that out, too!), & finally opened to Country.
      My boyfriend is a charming, beautiful, outlaw gentleman redneck from Virginia.💗
      A true Southern boy.
      He's been turning me on to all kinds great stuff! ♥️
      It's an AWESOME world of Country music.
      Blessings on your new Journey!

      -Itzella 👧🏻 & Artyoom 👦🏻 (from 🇺🇦), both 28;
      -Lazarus 👦🏻 (from 🇵🇱), 26…
      For many yrs, Lori, my fiancé, & I, were good friends; plus, her parents are my neighbors (also really good 👍🏻 friends). She & her first husband divorced in 2013, & she started hanging out w/ me & my kids.
      My kids have always been the makers & breakers of my female companions. Eventually, they decided Lori & I should start dating, & then eventually persuaded me to “pop the big ‘❓❓❓’ to her…😁.

    This used to play at a country-style joint where I used to work. I'd be sweeping the floors at closing, and this song would come on, and I'd just get chills. This song reminds me of that warm feeling you get when you feel truly special or important, like your story means something, and someone would enjoy hearing it. When you're working after hours, and the last of the staff are wrapping up their shifts, and it's just you and a broom and an open floor, things become simpler. You start to enjoy those little sweet moments, and your heart just grows ten sizes, and you feel lighter than air. 💛

    As a fan of all types of music from all eras (admittedly, mostly rock), it will always be impossible to single out a particular song as my "favorite". With that being said, this song comes pretty damn close to winning the title. Aside from being an unbelievably catchy tune, the verse that begins at 2:53 is simply one of the best verses ever put to tape in the history of recorded music. If anyone needs an example of how to write a well-crafted lyric and deliver a well placed hook, look no further. This is songwriting genius.

    90’ County holds a sentimental connection and comfort zone for me … the time my husband and I were dating . The best year and a half ever , Country Concerts , he was dancing with the devil with the Fire Company and working his ass off . We don’t have the “ name “ connection with the song, but we do with a very popular movie of that time … If anybody remembers The Bodyguard, Rachel & Frank - well , that’s us .
    This song was very popular while we were riding the country roads of York County Pennsylvania…. Heck we’d go anywhere.. the gas was cheaper !

    In Aug 1991 I saw Trisha open for Garth Brooks during Cheyenne Frontier Days (The World's Largest Outdoor Rodeo and "The Daddy of "em All"). On the flyer that was passed out as we were walking to our seats, her name was misspelled - Trisha Yarwood - so at first, I didn't recognize who she was. While she was singing her first or second song, I leaned over to my wife and said: "Wow, she has a great voice. All she needs is one great song and she's going to be a superstar." Before she sang her next song, someone came to the front of the stage and said Trisha's next song just hit Billboard #1 - and then she sang "She's in Love with the Boy". Pretty sure I told my wife - "I told you she's going to be a superstar!"

      I dunno. Shania and Trisha have voices that hit different parts of the classic country vibe. Trisha has the mmore soulful aspect while Shania has more of the barn dance vibe to her voice.

    Maybe it's cuz this was the genre I grew up with but
    How can ANYONE hate on this type of country? It's so relaxing and easy to get lost in

      I'm glad I've had time to reflect on the origins of stuff and how it got to be that way. Even if im wrong it's partly right. This is a good one I'd like to hear from somebody someday but not today. Been fun. Later

    • @kyleellis1825
      @kyleellis1825 Рік тому +1

      I don't think this is the country anyone hates. I feel this is more just stuff that isn't someone's preference. It's the really slow old country or the new country pop that I've heard people actually complain about.

      @@BAKER22-l4u wasn't being judgemental. I understand not everyone is gonna like the same type of music I do, hell half the songs I listen to my family either doesn't know or like and that's ok

    Bc I was raised by this kind of music, 90s country, 90s R&B.. it’s wonder why I still believe in love… the good traditional love. The kind that our grandparents, married 50+ years have.. I want that or I don’t want nothing!!!!
