I swear that I was going to make a custom chapter called the Grave Wardens. Not only do I find out that the name has been used before, but it has been used before in the same hobby I was considering.

This "Tactics & Structure videos" for the variious legion are some of th ebest 40k videos in YT. The "Origin & History" ones are also great, but take a more well throdden path. To hear someone focus on the quirks of each legions structure and their signature tactics, in depth, is very nice... and the narration style fits the 40k universe so much! With the voice you have you should really consdier making contact with the creator of the fan movie "Helsreach", it'd be so cool to hear you there.
I’m seriously troubled, here- I had to go out this morning to gas up the car for my wife, and when I returned, I looked at my UA-cam notifications and saw that there was a new Oculus Imperia video, titled “The Dark Age Of Technology”, and it was shown as being 30 minutes and some-odd seconds in length. I was really excited, because not only was it a new video from this channel, but it was also quite long (the longest video I can remember having noticed here). I had a few things to do around the house, so while I took care of those tasks, I watched the other videos in my notifications, saving the Oculus Imperia one for when I could sit down and give it my full attention. I just sat down- and the video is gone. Without a trace. I looked all over, and nowhere did it show up- the last video to come out was on October 25th, about the Death Guard. What’s going on? Did anyone else see the notification? Did I somehow dream, or hallucinate this? It’s so clear and vivid, and detailed... and I didn’t sleep between initially seeing it and then trying to watch it... I’m at a loss. Was it put up, and then taken down for some reason? Or am I losing a little more of my mind? If anyone can clear this up for me, I would appreciate the help! Thanks- Edit: it’s now 6-7 hours later- and it’s back up. Good to know I’m not going insane. Now- to watch it!!!
Enemy: We are ready to surrender unconditionally. Dusk Raiders: Acceptable terms. Enemy: We are ready to surr... Death Guard: Save your breath, you might need it to live one more second during the coming virus bombing!
Excellent, as always. Thank you for another installment of this fantastic series. It sometimes (oddly- I don’t know why) makes me wish that I was still waiting for you to cover my favorite, the Raven Guard. I guess I’d just like to experience that excitement again! I’ve watched the 2 episodes that cover them more times than I can estimate, and they’re incredible. I just want that feeling again, I suppose- but I truly enjoy every episode you release . Thanks again for such a great series!
Thanks so much for the incredibly kind comment! I'll be doing more XIX Legion videos in future, detailing some of their decisive battles, and the Raven's Flight from Isstvan V, so stay tuned!
Oculus Imperia You’re so very welcome! I’m very excited to hear that there will be more XIXth lore at some point- thank you! That’s just the kind of news that will keep me going 😁
5:15 evidently Mortarion wasn't at all concerned about maintenance or repair on his legion's equipment, given the degree of rust and degradation seen on this legionary's armour. Even before their corruption by fell powers, Death Guard equipment looks as if it were just falling appart
Nothing went to waste and due to the extensive use of rad weaponry and phospex their equipment was also affected over time, they also bore every stain, every smear and pit with pride as symbols of service
i noticed the channel when i heard how much work you obviously put in those vids. i clicked like when i saw how many of those grat vids there already are. i subbed when i heard "buttstuff kaiju" :D
Hi oculus, never posted a comment on your vids before, they really are head and shoulders above any other 40k channel, truly excellent work. As an aside, what is that Gregorian chanting piece you have in the background?
Thanks a mil for taking the time to comment and show the love :) This music was a particular arrangement of the Credo, I believe. I'll try make a decent Spotify playlist at some point.
Probably would of called them incompetent. "Yes Johnson you completely cleared the field of old structures and debris but you've also completely radiated and destroyed the foundation we were going to build on" Primarch would of turned without chaos I'm sure.
to clarify as to why....Mortarion's embitterment and lack of loyalty was never a suprise or an unknown to anyone, not even to his father. it simply did not occur to anyone to what depths of loathing and resentment he could yet be capable of, his loyalty was to goals of the great crusade. the eradication of tyrants, monsters and witches. of which he slowly realized he was surrounded by in the guise of his brothers and father. as for his methods of warfare, it was all he ever knew and had needed, Tyrants, warp-witches and monsters were to be deposed and utterly eradicated, no matter the cost and no matter how slow, long, and drawn out such a gruesome campaign would become. Barbarus wasn't like any other homeworld, not as beautiful and idyllic as Macragge or Chemos, not as outstretching, empty and vast as Fenris, Colchis, Inwit or Medusa. not as outright violent as Cthonia or Nuceria. It was more bleak then Nostramo, it was more tainted then Baal, and more dense to become lost in then Caliban. it was a fog-ridden hell. the last remembrancer sent there never returned after finishing his documents. and that was the point. Death keeps its secrets. he never learned to build, to consolidate infrastructure or work towards progress or beauty. his work and trade were always to apply death.
I would be so pissed if the Death Guard came to "liberate" my world. I'd probably have a better chance taking on Orks and Tyranids than Space Marines firing flesh-eating grenades at me.
And thats when they were in the service of the imperium, bringing a sterile death to everything that opposed humanity. now they bring virulence and the rampant growth of mutation, disease, and prolonged agony. all to test and sample the effects of course. then to study and perfect the new gifts and blights of Nurgle at home on the plague planet, and ready for another batch of testing....Ahh glorious.
I've just run a hot bath. Lit some candles. Time to soak, relax and listen to some Oculus Imperia. Nice.
For the Death Guard? You may want to save the bath for after. And a shower would be better. You may even want some antibiotics!
@Tacticus_ Homophobic dumbass
If a nice bath with music is gay then I'm flaming gay I suppose.
