    I purchased this mount from Amazon but as of 1/11/21 it was not available hence the link to their website. So far I have used this for a little over a month and still very happy with it. Honestly, for the money, this is such a great buy (my total was $260.00 for mount with tax). I paid $99.00 for the monoprice mount (black friday deal). It has a “wow” factor since it is motorized.
    The big limiting factor with installation is the requirement for 16” on center stud spacing, the other limitations include weight of tv (77 lbs max…mine was 40.5 lbs), and size of TV (37”-70”…mine was a 65”). Please feel free to ask any questions you have in the comment section. Thank you for watching!

    Is there a minimum height required from the mantle to the ceiling? Let's say TV height with soundbar (assuming its attached to bottom of TV with brackets) is 30.5 inches and mantle width is 8inches and the space above fireplace to the ceiling is only 32inches.. Will it fit and have enough clearance to come down?

    Great video! You should get yourself some sound bar brackets to mount that sound bar to the TV mount so it drops with the TV.

    Thank you for the wonderful review. This is by far the best video on this mount. My studs arent centered, however I have horizontal wooden beam/stud all along the fireplace, so the bottom screws will go to these studs. The upper holes arent aligned to any studs. Can I use toggle bolts for those? or drill a hole in the plate to attach it to stud directly?

    • @how2q
      @how2q  Рік тому

      Honestly, to be safe, I would try and hit a stud. Toggle bolts are great, but the force of going out and down would probably, over time, lead to possible failure of the connection. Just my guess.

    Do you ever watch the tv in the "up" position? I read it can not be angled in up position. I've talked to some with manual like monoprice you had previously and lots of said they rarely put it down. I'm getting OLED so good viewing angle even while up, but just curious about your mileage.

    Well done very clear. I ended up buying a sound bar bracket from same manufacturer so the sound bar comes down with it instead of blocking it. Made me less nervous to install. I'm going to try these adapter brackets since my studs aren't center to TV. We'll see how that goes 🤞🏼😬

    Looking to get this mount with a 70 inch TV but my wall has one stud in the middle of the wall so the two studs on either side are too far for attaching. I was reading about using snap toggle bolts in all four corners and maybe a few more. Do you think this would hold it???

    • @how2q
      @how2q  2 роки тому

      Wanted to get home and check to see if there was a centered hole on mount. There is…so you could do one bolt into wood and the rest toggle bolts. No guarantees but probably would work

    Hey there! Awesome video mate top notch thanks to you I’m thinking of buying it! Just a question.. instead of the TV going all the way down can I stop it to where I like it? I’m thinking of installing it above a 500mm deep gaming desk that I have with 2 monitors. So the idea is for it to be up while I’m gaming and once I’m ready to go relax I want to bring it down past the monitors and for it to stop at my desired height? Wondering if that’s possible! The desk is also 750mm off the ground to the top of the desk and from top of desk to top of ceiling I have 1600mm left not sure if you need them specs to tell me easier but yeh! Thanks mate 🙌

    How close does tv get to mantle when coming down? I have a low ceiling not sure this comes out far enough before going down.. your situation is a bit different, I have a 10" mantle and only have 2"s of play with tv. Not concerned with going to the lowest setting, don't need to, but idk if I can make the swing with such little space

      What i like about this mount is you do not see the mount at all when the tv is full up or down. I am not aware of a mount that goes out that far. My initial idea would be build it out 2”. That would be a 2x4 (1.5 inches) w maybe 1/2” or 3/4” mdf to “cover” it. Grab some black spray paint and ur good to go. Make sense? I have had this over a year and still love it
