Do you find them too grippy when shifting up? I do, and I'm struggling to get used to them.
They do take some getting used to for sure. After 15k on the camel ADV pegs, I’ve found myself not stepping off the peg wide enough and my foot gets caught.
Consider reducing the number of studs in the peg, just replace them with a shorter gub screw to protect the threads should you decide later you'd like to use them.
