Sounds great for an s55. I can’t imagine who would want the burbles, it sounds so much better with them removed. Nice work
Thanks for the feedback! 🫡
Getting my AA exhaust next week, can't wait
Looks and sounds great! You have to CTRL+ALT+ DEL that wing, though...
After the exhaust install. It truly sounds like an M-car 🥳
It truly does! Sounds like a different car. Thanks for watching!
This sounds phenomenal. I've been flip flopping between Dinan and M--Performance, but I think this completely stomps both of those. Removes the ugly udder, sounds amazing. MPE is way overpriced and still has an udder and seems like it hangs even lower than stock, and the Dinan just amplifies some of the bad tones of the S55. Thanks for sharing this and helping me decide.
It’s an easy choice. This exhaust completely changes the car.
Hey bro just looking at getting this for mine, does this still have the primary cats, obviously can see the secondary gets deleted, probably the best sounding M2 I’ve ever heard!
@@rickycollard4416 primary cats stayed on the car.
I have EL resonated with stock muffler and thinking to add the box. If I want to switch to non resonated, do you have to order AB pipe separately?
and how hard is it to switch between them? does the whole muffler have to come down each time or can just the AB pipes be swapped? thanks
Sounds great! I might just need to get the rear portion to pair with my EL mid as well.
I’ve heard the EL mid with a stock back box and I can confidently say the whole exhaust sounds better.
Sounds great! No burbles is the way to go for sure.
Agreed. It does backfire in between hard shifts which I do like.
Sound great, for me I never had a problem with mines, I love the unique sound it make and it’s not loud, I love that I can hear both intake and exhaust sound, but if I was to change my mind I will definitely get your set up with the carbon tips 👍
You might be the only one lol. The S55 sounds terrible without an EL setup. It doesn’t sound bad from the inside due to the fake piped in noise but on the outside.. 🥴
@@CJ2X Well, I too like the sound stock, although it sounds cool with the EL exhaust.
@@CJ2X Tbh it's not about the sound for me. Stock is fine although the EL's do sound hella nice. My issue is with the burbles, pops and bangs. I can't stand when cars are popping and banging every time you let off etc as it always sounds like there's something wrong with the car lol. And the piped is sound is always a no from me. If it was audi quiet yet the car still hauled ass i wouldn't care as much as it sounding like a 12 gauge going off every 10 seconds lol.
Budy, nice setup. I will copy that here in Europe :), but please what wheels do you have? Looks perfect as you probably have anthracite color, I am wondering to go for shiny silver, but I have Hockenheim Silver on my M2C so I am not sure if that will be ok ...
So much better without burbles
Hey man, awesome video! it helped me make the decision to get the same exhaust for my M2cs! Can you tell me which exact tips (BMW part numbers) you were able to fit? There is a set meant for the MPE, and a set meant for the OEM exhaust. If I go the same way, I want to make sure I get the right parts. Thanks!
Unfortunately, mine came with the car so I’m not exactly sure what was ordered. Based on a quick search, looks like 18302358110 is the part number. Contact Turner Motorsports or IND Distribution. and asked them.. They should be able to help you. One last thing.. If you decide to go with the tips, they do slightly touch in the back. So it wouldn’t be a bad idea to find something to put in between them.
You probably have the best setup for this car. I want to go this direction just not sure on the resonator or not ab section. I currently have CTS high flow catted DP's.
If you have aftermarket downpipes, active autowerke recommends a resonated setup.
How to enable bubbles?
Wow this sounds hella good. Hard to decide btwn OG and Comp cuz i like that sweet N55 sound, but this is dope
Youve just made my decision to buy the comp insyead of the OG car 👌 Only thing pushing me the other way was the noise of the S55. This is how a straight 6 should sound!
Completely agree on the burbles, too. A little bit of natural overrun sounds great, but the over the top fake noise is tragic.
Which diffuser is that? Thanks
M Performance
how do you turn off the burbles
Bimmelink app
Equal length midpipes are essential for any S55 powered BMW. The burbles are a bit much though, much nicer without them
Agreed
flmaes are ok burbles are for kids. especially if you drive in town, that just dumb.
sweet setup you got.
Thanks and agreed!
Hello, I would like to know the diameter of your exhaust tips m indoor and outdoor performance compared to AA ? Thank you
3.5 inches or about 90mm.
How can I purchase this exhaust system? I live in Korea and use a decat down pipe I'd appreciate it if you let me know
Contact Active Autowerke. Link in the description.
What length are your carbon tips 90mm or 120mm?
Sorry for the late response. They’re the 120mm tips.
Subscribed 👍 Sounds Awesome… Does this set up Drone ?
No drone. There’s a slight sound distortion if you don’t let the car warm up before taking off. It has something to do with the stock valves.
Very nice sound💥
Did you have to cut anything for the mid pipe? And did you get resonated or non?
No cutting.. These are the non resonated. AA recommends resonators if you get aftermarket downpipes.
Just ordered mine. Most useful info for me was seeing it all fit in the car haha. But really, thanks for the comparisons. Really looking forward to it.
Glad you found value in the vid. You can surprisingly fit quite a bit in the F87. 😅
I was sold with the remus but this is much better. Also love the wheels man!
Thanks bro!
Totally Obscene. Thank you exactly what I was looking for. Do you have any drone under any load ?
Do you think the resonators are not needed ?
No drone. There is some slight raspiness at low RPMs but other than that it’s perfect. No resonators recommended unless you do the downpipes as well.
Thanks Bro. Mine goes on next week can’t wait.

hi can you send me a link to this exhaust and what downpipes are you running ?
I’m on stock downpipes. Check the video description for links!
How did you decide on the EL midpipe vs single midpipe that they offer? Any big difference?
AA recommends the EL mid pipe for street cars. Single mid pipe is geared more towards track use. I personally think the single sounds a little to raspy and aggressive for my taste.
Equal length sounds 100x better
Sounds great. Much better than stock.
Agreed 🍻
Sounds sweet! I'm also planning to get the exact same setup as yours on my M2 CS. Any CEL so far?
No sensors are being unplugged so the car wouldn’t know it’s any different. The downpipes would be a different story though.
@@CJ2X Thx bro!
Who did you use to disable Burbles?

Amazing sound! Is this the res or non-res version?
Non resonated.
Awesome man, enjoy!!!
Thanks!
Hey thanks for the video,
Wanted to ask you if sounds different inside in a good way ? I am more interested in the incabin noise rather than the outside
It sounds good. Not loud until you want it to be. No droning. I removed the ASD so it sounds different than it did with the ASD on. I should’ve removed the ASD before I installed the exhaust so I can hear how the car really sounds in stock form. Anyways, I plan on doing a POV video in the near future so stay tuned for that!
@@CJ2X what is asd?

Well done. It's the one thing I have done to my car to make me love it vs. like it a whole bunch. Incom, parable tone. I have the same AA setup on my car, stock DP, but resonated. Going back to the non-res very soon. If anybody wants a pair of resonators, they will soon be for sale in the Tuscon area!!
It’s a great setup for sure.
On the fence myself for res or non-res.
Is your change to non-res strictly for volume?
@@ian_b8477 Took out the Res for a bit to do a track day. Track had no noise restrictions, so went balls-out. Back on the street and around town? Ridiculous. Just too much IMHO. Once in Sport or Sport+ with the valves open, it's straight out the rear from the downpipes back. Listen as it goes past the wall... ua-cam.com/video/brGUkkaW9Kg/v-deo.html
@@ian_b8477 Going back to Res this weekend...
@@averageguy7932 Thanks!!
That really helps 👍
