Appreciate the immense levels of effort fitting all this hardware and doing a ton of separate videos! Just gone with cat-less downpipes and resonated mid pipes.
I know the S55 suppose to sound bad but to me the car sounds fine in all 3 setups. I do like the equal length the best though and it seems a louder than stock which is a plus. Not crazy obnoxious loud though. I also think this is the way to go, backboxes for the M2C are way too expensive and don't give you much back but clean up the back (I don't really mind the cow udder though)
You’re right Backboxes is expensive. Me and my friend has the same setup El aa midpipe resonated expect he got akra back box And to be honest it’s not that deferent In my country the akra cost 6k
The internet sort of randomly decided that the S55 sounds bad, and now for some reason it's taboo to like the sound of it I'm right there with you that it sounds pretty decent in all the setups!
We really appreciate the amount of time and work into making this comparison video 🙏 Something that would help if we knew though, did you code the stock burbles out completely? In this video I did not hear one burble on your car.
Thank you and I know everyone always asks.. what does it sound like? Lol. On burbles, I have them set custom through Bootmid3. Both amount and duration is set lower with my custom tune as they were too loud and too agressive on the higher settings for me. I definitely still have them, as pedal lift especially with flap open, is very noticeable
I am looking to run the same setup for my M2 competition currently equipped with catless downpipe and else is stock Would you say adding non resonated single midpipe would be obnoxiously loud? P.S. This is not my daily
Thank you for putting this together for us! Awesome work. Are those the catless AA DPs? Hate to ask but any chance we could get higher rpm revs/flybys? mainly interested in catless DPs + resonated EL midpipes.
Great video! 🤗 I am considering this upgrade to my new M2C🤓 What are the specs on the Active Downpipes - cattet OR catless - how many cells ? When doing the in gear accelerations, how many rpm was that up to? Cheers from Denmark 🇩🇰
Thank you and happy to help! I am running catless though AA has a new high flow DP option! I don't believe got over 5k rpm but will see if I can figure that out

My order for the Active Autowerke valved exhaust just shipped! I will have an updated sound comparison to demo your very question once it's installed.
@@BMWDIYGuy ugh, you going to get me to spend more money ahha

I believe you will be fine, and was a fantastic setup! 8)
Great video, love the dedication! What does the el non res sound like with catless downpipes?
I have a full sound comparison video up on the channel in almost every possible configuration

@@BMWDIYGuy Allright 👍🏻 would be nice to hear the comparison at full throttle and to the red line 😉
Do they increase the volume? Both the EL and single mid pipe?
Yes, overall engine tone and exhaust note is louder
thanks for all the work. Can i ask you which of the setups was your personal favorite?
Man hard to say really as both were really good.. the EL is really good and on now, so likely will stay with that.
@@BMWDIYGuy Have you noticed any performance gains from the single mid-pipe vs the EL?
what midpipe configuration would you recommend for a M2C with an MPE?
I would probably do the EL mid with that setup
Any concerns about the that creating a “tinny” sound since the MPE is titanium?
