Great video cheers!! Been wondering what sort of training outside of the pool I can do since starting freediving last year. Perfect simple routines. Nice one!
"...and you are done, you go home and you practice your equalization like a good freediver" 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 ...have to make sure I am not skipping this part 🤣 I have been in the gym since 17 years old and lately was thinking about combining gym with interval training having impact on VO2 max and lactate. Let´s say that to kick with bifins from 80m takes me 60sec (to get to 20m where positive buoyancy takes care of the rest). So when doing leg press (for example), I set my time to 60sec (no matter how many repetitions in 1 set it takes) then I have only 60sec rest and go for another 60sec leg press.... 5 sets like that in a row. I tried that last time and already during the second set felt that muscles are working in an oxygen deficit + the lactate level in the muscles is very high. I think it could work 😝 As standard gym training is kind of boring for me after all those years I will try this and let you know when I get to 200m with CWTB 🤣😂🤣 See you in Dahab first week in May... we are coming with a big group of freediving friends 😜
I have left Dahab now bro. Maybe I will catch you in Malta or Baja this year. Try squat jumps 1 minute on 1 minute off x 5. You will love it hahah. Take care
My friend told me that weight lifting and free diving are opposite, so he told me to reduce weight lifting if i want to increase my level in freediving. What do you think?
Apart from the science to points to positive adaptations for freediving. Almost all of the top Freedivers use resistance training. The important thing is to compliment it with other types of training like flexibility, meditation etc to be balanced
💪🏼
Nice one Harry. Hope you’re both well. All looks great
Dave, your the only person in the world to keep in touch via comments on UA-cam videos! much love brother

Question - could pool sprints work for the strength endurance section?
Thanks again for making video ❤
Yes and no
Absolutely! So long as you are truly sprinting
@@freedivepassion9498 thank you again!

I wish you could help me break my 5min static
I have some STA videos up, with a gentle and consistent training, that should be available in a couple of months
