I have a 2005 ford focus and when I'm driving itll randomly pull to the left and I have to straighten out the car so I'm pretty scared of taking it to highway. What do you think could be my problem? It happens when I'm accelerating and the it'll jerk to the left.
Usually with a tie rod problem the car will always pull to one side (sometimes when braking) there will also be some vibration in steering wheel. Hard to say, without looking at it. Id say take it to a shop and have them do a front end inspection.
I believe both will work... BUT the size is slightly different and it could effect the alignment. Just make sure you have month of manufacture and maybe the VIN when you go to parts store.
If you have the straight tie rod ends on your car you have to put those back on unless you're changing the inner tie rods also. They have a different thread pitch. You can use either set but you have to use the inners and outers that go together. Ford changed to the straight ones Midway through the 2006 production year.
When it comes to suspension parts especially if your roads are bad in your area it's best to go with the Moog top shelf well worth it in the long run

@@woodsarmoury it ended up being bad front tires, replaced them and got an alignment.
Just count your full turns you make with the tie rod as you take it off, then do the same turns with the new tie rod.

Is it the same for an 07 focus?
Yeah the procedure would be the same.
Be sure you torque that nut on top of the tie rod end next time.
