I had a cathartic experience when I heard this. Tears started streaming down my face but I felt completely immersed in love. I`ve watched the show several times over love it but never felt like that. Eivor you are blessed.
I feel incredibly connected to this music. I cry every single time. It's like I've connected with ancestors from over 1000 years ago, I honestly can't describe the overwhelming feeling that I'm directly connecting with them. I'm not even religious. It's just like this music is a bridge between that era and the present. So powerful.

I have followed the series of vikings .... The last kingdom ... Vikings Valhalla .... Truly after Ragnar Lothbrok ... I think Uhtred has done best to showcase the beautiful Norse culture... Although I belong to an entirely different region and culture but I have loved these characters with all my heart. And this music always soothes me ❤

My family comes from Kristiansand, Bergen, and the Oslo regions of Norway, Torsby area of Sweden, and Bathgate area of Scotland. I am lucky to have a very detailed historical record of my Norwegian family of ancestors dating from 1249 to approximately middle 1950's. This document was hand typed and completed in 1953 by my second cousin, Olav Kristian Stromme. It is one of five original copies, four of which remain in Norway. I have been extremely hooked on The Last Kingdom series and the music was a huge pivotal reason why. Thanks to the masterful musicians of Eivør & John Lunn. Definitely phenomenal talent. The funny thing is I just started binge watching the series this month (04-2023) and completed two seasons in 3 days 😆😆😆. I get so hoooked when I see series like this being so dayuuuuuuuuummm good!!!
Once I heard this song, my imagination took me to the history of that era. I was ignorant of that part of the history but I became fully aware of the events that Den and Anglo-Saxons went through. Your voice, the rhythms and the melody closely resemble the nomads of my country, Iran.
