I was so annoyed with Lexie for getting pissed off that Meredith was spending any time with April. Lex couldn't get that the shooting was traumatizing for all of them and not just her. Even not knowing of Mer's miscarriage, she knew that April's best friend was shot in the forehead.
I feel like Owen has been there and have seen a lot of what Meredith has been through but have never really had a conversation about it. There relationship has always been so different (compared to Cristina and Derek)
I think Owen is like a silent support. He protests her in his own way in they communicate in their own way. Like brother and sister they protest each other no matter what
I feel like they handled the post-miscarriage & shooting trauma with mer a little poorly… she was so busy caring about Alex, Cristina, Derek and listening to their problems no one actually saw that she was really just putting her feelings on the back burner including her. Then eventually it was just never brought up again.
this scene is so sad i was like WTH why did they even make her pregnant on the show if she was going to lose the baby in the same episode. all for the drama poor meredith she was so excited and that was a huge step for her as a character

ellen pompeo is such an incredible actress, like i honestly don’t know how katherine heigl got an emmy and she didn’t. this scene, the elevator scene in 7x18, and also the scene when she asks the shooter to shoot her instead are some of the scenes that show just how incredible she is and i wish she got recognized for her talent.
