They really dont, they get their shit together in return of the jedi and completely destroyed the rebel fleet, as was the plan, and wiped out the rebel ground force with little effort. If it wasn't for those DAMNED EWOKS THE EMPIRE WOULD HAVE CRUSHED THE REBELLION RIGHT THEN AND THERE BY USING THEIR HEROS TO SET UP THEIR OWN DESTRUCTION!!! EEEEEWWWWWOOOOOKKKSSSS!!!!!

Most guns in the original Star Wars are based on WWII weapons. Like Han's blaster for instance.. And the stormtrooper blasters are just modified Sterling Mark 4's

xoSteveOox Apparently you can ADS if you equip a sight, but other than that there's no ADS. I don't mind that as long as there's no disadvantage to not ADS-ing; there's no benefit for using a sight statwise.
Dr Lemon PhD I find games more fun when you don't need to ADS, which is the main reason I hate the mechanic. It just doesn't feel fun. Others will say it does but that's only because every single game in existence now has sprint and ADS

twicane Can you please at least wait until the game comes out? You're about the 7th person I've seen that's made almost that exact same comment. Or at the very least give a reason why it seems just like a Battlefield game? At least show that you're not just following the trend of hating this game. Show that as a fan, you've done your research, that you actually genuinely care about this series instead of just riding the Hate Wave.
And don't just do the whole comparison thing. This is a game made by a different producer and was bound to be done differently. Does not having the same amount of content mean it's bad? Not always. In this case? Maybe, we'll see how it plays out... when it's released.
Kylee Smalley A reason why it looks like a Battlefield game? Just look at the trailer. I mean...it looks like Battlefield, that's all I have to say. And I care about Battlefront, a lot. I was a huge fan of the second one and my hopes for this one just aren't that high.

Star Wars Battlefront 2015 was amazing, loved playing it online on PS4 back in 2015, especially right around the time The Force Awakens came out, glad to see the game have a large number of offline modes, having a blast playing it on PS5 now 🙌❤️

This really does look like an updated version of Battlefront 2 gameplay. Shame they didn't keep the space battles though...
I believe they did but instead of making it restricted to space, you can go down to the planets and fight on the ground or go up the planet's atmosphere and fight

Rick McDik they already had that feature in battlefront elite squadron for the psp, like alex said you can hop in a ship and jet straight uptoo the space fight in real time and ground weapons could be used to harm the capital ships and vice versa. obviuosly this suffered from the limitations of the psp so ill be very interested n how far they can go with the ps4

dael 123 You don't aim down sight in this game, which is already a gigantic leap in the right direction, and even if they use the same flying mechanics as BF the air vehicles will control completely different from BF because the Star Wars vehicles work differently. The hud is not really the same as Battlefield, I guess if there's a radar that means Battlefield, doesn't it? The space battles before were never actually that cool because if all if the vehicles were taken you had to wait on one in the hangar, and even then, the Battlefront flying controls weren't all that good, and I have no fucking clue what you mean by flying gun, so I won't comment on that.

Beautiful graphics me and my cousin would always play battlefront on the ps2 for hours and we would always say i hope they make another one.
By looking at this it looks as if we are going to confined to the small ""battle maps" rather than battlefront 2's open (ish) planets.
The hanger has been remodeled from the previous game, which in itself isn't bad, but you could fly the ships out of their and tow the At-AT'S to the ground. Now it appears aerial combat will be similar to battlefield, primarily to the air with little to no impact on ground assaults.
I'll wait until the release of this game, but if this is what the multiplayer will be in its entirety i'm a little upset. I remember being able to go into a ship, jumping out tossing C4 (the star-wars equivalent) on a Walker and blowing it to high hell. Then shooting 30 rebel scum in the head. Now if i can't do that than what can i do?
We don't want a battlefield clone. I want an enhanced battleFRONT two, with surface to space combat.

Battlefront, i think, succeeded because you were not the protagonist this seems to have forgotten that. Being as you are ONLY one who can actually kill anything.

Battlefield: Star Wars Edition
Wow like holy shit, wow I just got some major nostalgia. This game looks absolutely fucking spectacular, I love the simple and clean HUD and how busy and realistic the battlefields are just like the last one. If this game is anything close to this pre-alpha shows I'm gonna be a very happy chap.

I'm not blown away yet.. But I'm very impressed. It's great how much this looks like Battlefront, not Battlefield, and the nostalgia is real, and the scale of battles seems epic. As long as there are few bugs and it doesn't feel too clunky and it keeps the Battlefront style and hip only fire, this'll be a day one buy for me.
I remember playing the first and second one on the original xbox, this looks insane I think I'm going to be getting it!

This gameplay officially re-affirms my faith in Battlefront and I don't think there is any way that I can avoid buying this now. I can only hope that when using the lightsaber, I will be able to cut people in half and dismember them like in the movies.

Wow, I actually felt that tingle of excitement from when I first saw trailers for the first Battlefront. The atmosphere is amazing, with the sounds and music! I don't care if this version will have less content than the first two, and fewer game modes and so on, I am super excited for this now! But still, go Dice! EA, back off!
