Hello there! In this video Seth and I play with some outrageously powerful cards on Arena. Let us know how you liked this kind of collabo video. To keep the pacing fast and show a lot of decks, we played best of one matches. Once you can load up on interaction in game two, these games would look very different. Would that balance the format? Probably not because Channel will still be the most busted card on the client. Remember to Tap that Like Button 👍⤵

Please make these collaboration videos a thing in Brewer's Kitchen. Challenge each MTGGoldfish member against their favourites decks (I want to see how your crazy decks go against Richard's Jund deck)
Great video, nice to see you both interact too. I would have preferred it longer form though. Just more in general! Which is a great sign. Thanks for the content!

@@BrewersKitchen I don't think so, but if so, that would be very entertaining to watch. As a random person on the Internet, I love your videos and I'm looking forward to see more of these collabs
I really miss Merchant and Craig doing those videos. Couldn’t care less about competitive magic, love friendlies. Kitchen table magic but anywhere in the world.
Is it even legal under the Magic rules to do what Arena did? Channel uses the "pay 1 life" wording, and I thought you aren't allowed to pay more life than you have to pay a cost.
This was awesome! I'd love to see more of this kind of Collab! Kinda reminds of the most broken standard decks ever Seth did with Crim or when he does goat magic with Richard. Some of my favorite videos. I'd love to see a Modern version of that where y'all play decks that had a card banned.
I was kind of burnt out on MTG for a bit but watching this made me want to start playing more again. The interaction netween the two of you is awesome! The intro was also well done A++
Love the good vibe energy in this video! But I expected that, with the two most good vibes members of MTGGoldfish. Very fun. That first match was a little rough with how the explanations took up more screen time than the game, but it smoothed out pretty well afterwards. All in all, super enjoyable!
Thank you! In the beginning of the video, I had to explain a lot of cards when they were played for the first time. It's always hard to find a balance in explaining for newer players and showing the gameplay at a fast pace for experienced players ☺
@@BrewersKitchen Yeah, I understand completely. Usually I try to suggest a solution when I make a criticism, but I really couldn’t think of a good one either. It didn’t hurt the video overall though. After that first match, the rest of the video was really fun to watch, and I’d love to see more!
@@BrewersKitchen Maybe run through a few of the key cards you intend to explain before the game begins (at least if there are a lot of them which can break the flow). That way the actual gameplay is smoother without interruptions, and people with extensive card knowledge can just skip the section. But overall fun video! Really has a lot of potential to see you guys play vs each other in more "kitchen table" style 1on1 gameplay instead of just smashing random arena opponents!
This was a great episode. Some REALLY smooth editing (like with the Demonic Tutor for Llanowar Elves), you do such a good job with that. Also cool to see the backstory behind Seth's "so Channel will kill you instead of tapping a mana dork" tweet.
I want more of this, Casual magic is soo sweet because it can be so broken like this I would have loved to see a Balanse deck, i don`t know if that is on Arena though
I enjoyed this video a lot! also I enjoyed the video a couple of years ago where set and crim battled with the busted standard decks from magic's history. Honestly I would like more videos where you three interact. Maybe even Richard doing draft or modern
Loved this! I’ve grown to become a super big fan of powered cubes, and this basically felt like really good powered cube decks. The synergy between Seth and Phil was also great, would love to see more videos like this, both the content and the creator combo
Brewer's Kitchen's content is always top notch. Thank you for the awesome video, and I'd like to see more of this content with varying Goldfish members of the Goldfish crew as "guests".
This was very fun, I enjoyed it! Having the conversation back and forth was very entertaining. And that turn-2 Channel play to lead it off was *chef's kiss*
@@ChaosForce08 I swear it's part of the way the game screws you over when you have a high win rate. It makes the stupidest decisions like tapping the color you need to cast the other spell still in your hand. Garbage.
HEY NOW. Channel and Demonic Tutor are both very legal in Gladiator! As is everything else on Arena (except Oko, Natural Order, T3feri, Nexus and Field. Those are too busted even for us.)
I have a Historic Brawl deck (with the Gitrog Monster) that is all about finding Bolas' Citadel and trying to storm off from there. The two storm win cons are Tendrils and Weather the Storm (which either lets you keep casting things or kills the opponent if you have Professor Onyx or a similar effect). It's super fun and fairly consistent.
I think there's a TON of potential doing videos with other creators. Maybe not just this deckbuilding stipulation, but your editing style mixed with personalities works really well!
I loved the format of this video. Switching between which player's hand the viewer got to see was great, explaining the key cards was done masterfully. Please make more 1v1 videos like this!
This is my favourite kind of content; I love the back and forth. I said it on Seth's last Historic Brawl video, but I'd love to see the crew battle it our in some sort of Battle Royal with Historic Brawl decks.
I really like your channel and your dynamic videos, but seeing that kind of content was so much fun because it's about all illegal things that you can do in the game It was super fun 😀
I originally planned this to be a longer, way less edited video with Bo3 matches. But in the end, I like producing this fast pace, high edit content. It's just a cooler viewing experience, even if it's for a shorter time
More of this please! Even if it's just your regular old Deck Tech/Showcase videos, doing it with another person we know as opposed to a random chump on the ladder really gives it an extra layer of charm. I love being able to hear you guys talking in real time, reacting to the plays, chatting and laughing about it. "Would you like to Elk that God Pharaoh's Statue? You could attack me for 3 if you do." "I can attack you for 3 anyways."
This was lots of fun. It was really neat seeing you too playing together,. My brother and I spent an hour trying to figure out how to play together and we couldn't get it to work. I'm glad you figured it out.
That was the best win, I've seen in a long while... game 4. There's no format like Kitchen Format. It's the Do the most degenerate stuff you can think of, and hope your opponent doesn't do it first.
This was really fun to watch. You guys doing videos together like this is always a blast, like Seth and Richard used to do. Please more content like this!
I'm usually not a huge fan of "pubstomping" or decks that literally try comboing off as fast as possible, but you two together make it actually fun against each other. In real life I don't get to game often enough, so if someone did this to me outside of a tournament, it would feel bad. However, both of you go into this knowing what is going on and manage to keep it both light-hearted and humorous. Keep it up! I'd definitely watch more of these with you two. Great chemistry.
This was amazing! Fantastic video editing as expected of course, but seeing you and Seth play matches just for fun was super enjoyable! Best video in a while!

Brings back memories. I had a few tutors, a boatload of rituals and channels... I believe the tutor was limited to one per deck when I was playing it. Still think Armageddon was my all time favorite ftw.
As mainly a Historic player, I think fetchlands would be OK for the format. With Explorer and eventually Pioneer in Arena, I think the format needs more ways to differentiate itself (apart from Alchemy cards...). Fetchlands would also open up lots of 3 color aggro/midrange archetypes that otherwise have bad mana. It may cause other cards to get banned (Lurrus...), but I think they would be an overall positive for the format. That being said, if we get fetchlands before the other 5 fastlands, I'm going to riot. Seriously - Where tf is my Seachrome Coast????
"Cards that are literally banned in every format on arena" Dudes, there's a Gladiator queue open TODAY on arena where channel, demonic tutor, brainstorm, lightning bolt, counterspell, Uro, once upon a time, and dark ritual are all legal.
