Now if I could only get my Global Entry interview @RDU instead of @CLT that would be fantastic.
@RDU can you also make the observation deck much taller so that buildings aren’t blocking fantastic views. Possibly put one like 2 stories above the future rental car parking structure. Plane spotting is surely growing!
I regularly planespot from the top of the parking deck now since the observation deck is just to short and can become crowded. We definitely need to see it revamped and raised up to be able to see over the hangers and nearby trees

I almost wonder if we could redo terminal 1 and make that the international terminal at RDU
The crosswalk from the parking structure to Terminal 2 is an accident waiting to happen. Please consider a plan to make this a bridge so as to not interfere with that congested departure traffic situation.
Can anything be done about the lack of curb space available for drop off of passengers at Terminal 2? It can be such a mess. I consider flying southwest just so I don’t have to deal with this chaos at Terminal 2.
Vision 2040 does include plans for a potential pedestrian bridge between the deck and Terminal 2 entrance.
You should open a Cookout in both of the terminals. It’s a perfect place to get a meal to take on the plane.

RDU airport can handle capacity… This is all about using assigned federal funds or lose them…so airports always take the money, match it with local bonds and add new runways that are not technically needed. Landside development has way more challenges than Airside. As a former AAAE I see this as more an inconvenience to the public during the years of Constant construction and restricted access to the public…. All in the name of infrastructure!
Infrastructure means crumbling bridges that pose a direct safety concern Not a runway that needs to be replaced, rather than resurfaced.
