In Australia it is illegal to mount on bull bar for safety reasons, if you mount your spare wheel on your rear bar then Australians usually mount hilift jack vertically there with the spare wheel.

You can buy locking knobs to replace the hilift ones.

Chain your hi lift down. I had the same system. I took a thief less than 2 minutes to liberate my jack
