Thanks Steve - always good to get kind feedback from people.
I had a huge scare this week when all our video files were corrupted by a faulty storage device. Made us realise just how precious the recorded moments are because they can be lost so easily 😪 Anyway, it’s taken 2 solid days but I think they have all been recovered with only half a days footage missing (touch wood). Technology hey!?
      Thanks again

Great video with words to pictures. What is that all about! Party boat, my idea of cruising on the canals is serenity, peace and relaxation!! Obviously not forgetting those difficult locks, swing bridges and early morning wake up calls from ducks lol. Your night heater must be either on a timer or thermostat timer. Those I've had dealings with were generally one simple switch, usually with a light on, mind you, technology has moved on. Have a great day both of you and safe cruising. Paul & Marie.

Hi Paul & Marie - thanks for the kind words. It was quite a contrast from the normal sounds we hear out on the canals for sure.
You are right on the timer. It has since been unwired and put on the kitchen side in disgrace (because I can’t fathom how to work it). Maybe come winter we will divert a little time to working it out, but I think a good service/check over of the system would be in order…
Having a ‘work day’ today and letting Josh have a well earned rest…he’s been doing some miles of late.
      Cheers

That was a THING a 12ft lock one of the deep ones I've not seen one that deep, well done Sue...😊

It was definitely a deep one. Big gates, big paddles and feels like a dungeon inside 😬😩

A similar 'party' hire boat sank their boat in a Droitwich lock a couple of weeks ago so the fact they got through Somerton deep lock without drama is surprising!

Oh no! That can’t have been nice to watch…
We don’t have an issue with people having fun on the canals but there’s a line to be drawn!
We went up to the lock to 1) help if we could to make sure nothing bad happened and 2) make sure things were progressing so we didn’t have to sleep there ourselves!!
Apart from the racket in the end it was OK, although I’m equally glad I wasn’t the boat at the other side of the lock that got swiped as party bus 1 passed/tried to temporarily moor up…
