- Last Fall Zen Community of Oregon hosted Byron Katie at our temple in NE Portland, Heart of Wisdom.

We love listening to Byron Katie,.. always a plus, however, we have noticed that her voice fades in and out, she tends to whisper many of her words.. .which makes the audio challenging. Even with headsets. I wonder if we are the only ones who find it hard sometimes to hear all of what she is speaking...

She confuses me. Sometimes she's talking but it doesn't seem like she's saying anything. I have a hard time understanding what she means sometimes.

Hearing Katie is like hearing a great poem. As you hear her over and over, something familiar will occur to you. Great poetry seeps into your heart and mind….a willingness and beauty. .mBe patient and clarity will arise.

There are many sides to truth. One dimension is that we are not separate from the Oneness of life. How can Oneness talk to Oneness? Another dimension is to look into what we call 'volitional action'. Watch your hand move and be curious what is motivating it. Thought? Will? What is the experiential (not scientific) connection between the experience of thinking and the action of moving your hand? A third dimension to be curious about is who is doing the thinking, talking or moving? Where is the "I" ? Still another dimension is to consider if we can ever tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Your question is important, worthy of your investigation and verification. Thank you, Hogen

You never speak? not following that line of thought.
We are not the doers. We are being thought, not thinking. Everything is happening including the process call "me". There are no individuals here only thoughts that create the idea of individuals but when we question those we see the actual reality.

I wouldn’t think that people who charge 5000 dollars for an intensive would be leading an authentic spiritual life...
Does she charge that much?
And yet she also provides all the methods for free, so no one has to go to an intensive. This 5000 you talk about wouldnt be a nine day program with accommodation ?
@@ObakuZenCenter Haha I've been enjoying Byron Katie's wisdom for years and I have never had to spend any money. I have never even heard her speak about wanting money. Only about letting go. I hope you are doing well!
