    After seeing some of the posts here I'll just say this.. you will know without a doubt that it's not "delusion" when you have direct experience of what happens when your perspective changes. You gradually (for the most part) begin to shift your attention and personalization of the story you've been telling yourself from past and future to NOW HERE. You come to the realization (awakening) of your natural state of freedom and conscious of the fact that such freedom was buried somewhere deep behind a set of beliefs, judgments and perceptions (plus/and all the consequent reactive emotions that are ego mind based) Simply put, what you find and experience directly as what remains is pure consciousness, awareness of "what is", also referred as your higher-self. Thanks for this enlightening interview with Byron K. by Miss Mason.

    How does one not regret how long it took to even start being enlightened, all the wasted years, etc.?

    "The enlightened mind understands..."
    It's debatable whether this is an 'enlightened' mind, or a self-deluded mind.
    The power of self-delusion is clearly and irrefutably demonstrated in the placebo effect.
    Give people a pill that does absolutely nothing, and their idiotic brain proceeds to act 'as if' the pill did something.
    Self delusion is how most people get through life, in innumerable ways.

      I have to laugh at your statement. All I can say is to try it yourself. I used the work to process my feelings about my beautiful son's drug addiction. Without the work, I would probably not be here anymore. It is the most powerful process I have ever encountered in my 60 years and I have come across many. This woman is a gift to the world.

      Are you denying the proven power of the placebo effect? How about hypnosis? Has anyone ever successfully benefitted from hypnosis? Guess what, SELF-hypnosis... convincing yourself of the truthfulness of something based on whatever you FEEL like is convincing evidence... that's all that's needed.
      How exactly would you distinguish between a self-deluded mind, or hypnotized mind, or a mind under a placebo effect, from an "enlightened" mind?

    • @snippetsordinarylife
      @snippetsordinarylife 4 роки тому +4

      @@TasteMyStinkholeAndLikeIt DO you think this has anything to do with self-hypnosis? Oh my goodness, you couldn't be more wrong. This is about getting brutally honest with yourself. Not everyone has the courage to do that.
      The placebo effect doesn't even feature in the work, but the only way one would ever discover it, is to do it yourself. Having said that, I know of people who were not helped at all, mostly because they clung to their believes and continues to justify their feelings and weren't doing the work properly at all
      Anyhow, it doesn't effect me in anyway whether you want to hold onto your own beliefs or not. The same methods are not suitable for all.
      I am just deeply grateful that I came across some of her videos any years ago. It certainly changed my life, not on a superficial level, but a deep, straight-to-the-root of the problem way.

    • @seeker8097
      @seeker8097 4 роки тому +4

      Self delusion is the replacing of one thought/belief with a different thought/belief. Self inquiry investigates the source of all thought; it is not, in itself, another thought from which delusion could be made. The Work leads to an absence of thought, and there can be no delusion without thought.
