I have a trumpet where the lead pipe soldering has become undone. How difficult would soldering it be?

For a skilled repairperson with the right equipment, it's no big deal. But if you want to start from scratch and learn to do it yourself, be prepared to spend a very long time learning. I've worked at Clearwater Music on and off for close to two years now and I am still far from a soldering expert.

Don’t let yourself get freaked out by it. The materials needed can be bought for about 50 bucks. I had a bunch of old school horns that needed soldering work and did it with a butane torch and the proper solder. They big thing is finding the correct amount of heat, being patient, and most importantly being careful. You can burn yourself through welding gloves very easily with a butane torch btw. 😂
